This is more form fitting and with the style, it is out of the way of my arms and leaves most of the front free from interference. I wear the MD 3183 for patrols and this one is used in my personal boat. Much better fitting and has the same auto-inflation as my 3183. My only wish would be to add Velcro to the collar the same as the 3183, but this one is soft enough to not cause chafing like most inflatables. Top notch jacket from the best in the business!

The look, feel and fit of this Elite 28 is fantastic. Having an actual back makes putting on simple, unlike vests with only straps. I did purchase an extender for winter season to give a better fit while wearing all the winter clothes. This is by far the best Mustang inflatable I've ever owned. The recharge system has been upgraded to last longer and to prevent premature inflation. I highly recommend to everyone.

I really like this item. I like the way the back is designed and it keeps it from blowing off your shoulders going down the lake. The only complaint I have is that the neck line is narrow. It is tight around the collar which I hope loosens in time.

It's a nice slim auto inflate. I like it ,but I think it's meant for small frame guys that stand up. I'm a bigger framed person and it is tight on the sides of my neck. Every time I set down to move spots it rides up. Maybe it's not broken in good. It's a really nice, good looking auto pfd.

I am a long-term boater at various points in my life. When I was younger I was thrown from a boat without a PFD while on a solo fishing trip. I managed to survive the accident, but swore that would never happen again. I have owned other auto-inflate PFD's, but I was frequently disappointed when they would deploy as a result of moisture in the environment; rain, spray or humidity. The HIT system seemed to be a great solution. I have owned the standard HIT PFD as well as the previous version of this PFD, the Elite 38, and decided to add another to my PFD bag for use on the boat. I now own the standard HIT (2), the Elite 38 (2) and now the Elite 28 (1). I am very pleased with the HIT Elite for style and comfort while on the water. I am confident they will be 'ready to go' for each adventure on the water.

They say the best PFD is the one you wear! Won't have a problem with this vest - you'll keep it on because you forget it's on. Normally when on a bass boat the PFD is worn only when the boat is in motion. So, vest is coming on and off. That was normal for me until ELITE 28. It's just easier to just keep it on. Safer too!

I love this Inflatable because I don't really notice when I am wearing it. I can fish in this and I feel like I am wearing nothing. I used to only wearing my Life Jacket when I was operating the boat, but after hearing too many stories of guys not being able to climb back on board, I wear mine all the time. And I dont even notice!

Safety is the most important thing on the water. The Elite 28k PFDs are not only comfortable, but they are extremely safe.
