Really like my Habitude 4. I'm 80, easy to set up, light wt. For me it's just right for one person. I have my cot, folding chair, small folding table, 5gal. bucket and toilet seat, and buddy heater if it's cold and I can stand up in it. Comfortable in any kind of weather.

I've been backpacking a long time and can tell a good bit of gear from the bad. These tents are top-notch. Very light, completely waterproof. Quality zippers, great stitching and finish. Has room for an inflatable queen matress, with room enough to keep your gear inside.

With myself, my wife, 2 kids and the dog, this tent gives us just the right amount of room, we've taken it into the backcountry and car camping and we just love it. It's so quick and easy to pop up, I do it myself while my wife distracts the kids. Been in some pretty heavy rainfalls too without any problems. Love my Habitude.

The good; we used this tent for 7 days. Had two of them set up, one faced west the other east (vestibule) wind blew hard from W and E gust to 35-40 estimated, tents were rock solid, they were each fully staked out?.i mean every tab staked out tight. Great pockets, plenty of room, zippers are stainless and robust. ( still require care) all seems are beautifully sewn, vestibule is great, really adds lots of room for gear out of the weather. Set up; first time no coaching 18 minutes by my self, second time 9 minutes. Probably worth watching the YouTube. Did not include full steak out. The lite, ya it's there, bring your headlight. Standing room, if you're under 6 ish feet. Poles are big and tough, fly goes on easy, excellent quality throughout. The bad; it's not 12 lbs. more like 14 in the bag. It's has all the tabs on the fly but they were not all rigged (no line included) so I had to do it and did not have all the sweet little tensioners two guy lines came with, not enough tent pegs, so had to buy more. This is not a cheap tent, that stuff should be included. All this said I think you will look long and hard for a better tent, I feel like even though it's called a 3 season tent, with care I wouldn't hesitate to use it in harsh winter weather, it's not a Hansen Weatherport but it's pretty darn good. If it blew flat tomorrow I'd probably buy another.

Is water column 1500mm enough for camping in moist environment and will it be sufficient over time?

This is an extremely sturdy and roomy tent. I have used it for car camping for one or two people and there is space for a queen size air mattress and a small chair and table inside. The vestibule is large but not terribly usable as anything but storage. Has proven rainproof through several hours of rain and hail in Rocky Mountain National Park. Took off one star for the lack of ventilation and the trickiest of mastering fly tension. If you get it juuuuuuust right you can have the full or partial vestibule open during rain without getting the main tent body wet.

Great design and very sturdy - packs down relatively small for such a roomy tent when set up. Perfect car camping tent.

Loved the Habitude 4. Had small problem with stitching on tent body. Issue was address quickly and efficiently. Great customer service from Chuck Kollin made the whole experience reassuring and I felt like my satisfaction was first on their list. Awesome experience, will be back.

Love this tent. Perfect size for queen bed plus your stuff. Car camping obviously. Can stand up in middle of text. I set it up by myself. It's easy with the clips on the tent vs sleeves to push the pole through.

Very easy to set up with two persons. 5 minutes done. Two poles for the dome, one on top. Very light inside. 6 nights during summer trip. Pity it only has one entrance.

Took a light winter storm in Zion like a champ. Not a lot of snow, but the wind got a bit spicy in the middle of the night. Great design!

Fair, so far so good. No water testing events yet. I'm Haley with the purchase right now. I'm glad I held on and allowed you guys a chance to correct the bad poles situation.

Love all the pockets in side, and it's a very sturdy tent, spent a couple nights in some serious storms this summer not a problem. Recommend the extra footprint as well

Light, easy to pitch and spacious. The best tent available for 4p. The only cons I can think of it's a bit windy, because of the mesh on top of the inner tent.

Light, large, small when packed, great ventilation and rain protection. I'm extremely happy with my purchase after 2 years of usage, and with MSR in general. Thanks!

I love this tent. We have done many miles in a Hubba Bubba and if this one stands the MSR test of durability it will become Great. The design is awesome, especially with the vestibule. Spacious yet compact, nice colors inside, 3 season camping, all are features easily witnessed. The only problem I've had thus far is I'm short, and It makes hooking the center tab a little tricky... but that's not a design flaw of the tent:)

Used this tent on the CA coast in a wind storm and it basically collapsed. Needed to re-set it up so the vestibule was facing the wind otherwise the sides of the tent collapsed. The door and vestibule zippers are hard to use and difficult to get in and out of. It's still a very well made tent and the head room is awesome as is all the side pockets for pocket gear. I haven't had it in rain yet but expect it will fair very well as the fly covers the tent very well.

We purchased this tent to use as a base camp at established campgrounds around Southern CA and the Sierras. I am a reluctant camper, but where we want to go hiking camping is the only good option. Have used it now on two 3-5 night trips, and am very happy with the tent. It's comfortable, fits a large two-person bed and loads of camp luggage inside, has plenty of vestibule room for shoes, has hooks all over the inside for hanging lanterns and jackets, and tons of internal pockets for stowing glasses/phones/tissues/etc. The tent is so easy to set up and nice to be inside of. The main door has mesh only on the top of the panel - great for privacy, less great for air flow. Heats up super fast in the sun, and can't cool it down easily. We know now to look for a shady site if we plan to use it during the warm part of the day (thankfully we are usually off hiking). Overall I highly recommend the product.

I have used msr hubba series tents for over a decade. I love them. So when I saw the new habituate I thought perfect a family sized car camp/short jaunt tent along the same lines. And to a large degree it delivers on that premise. So why a three. Well I have some gripes, however, before I list them I need to state that in the past msr has always had exceptional customer service and I expect this will be the same. With that in mind I will be reaching out to their tech support staff and hopefully I'll be able to temefiate the majority of my issues. 1: the groundsheet or footprint... no rings or tabs are affixed to the footprint. every other msr tent I have used or seen has some manner to secure it to the tent body to eliminate improper alignment and aid in setup. If msr will send me the clips I'll add them with cordage and believe this will resolve the issue. However at this price point one would not expect to have to solve a simple engineering issue like this. 2: the corners each host two pole inserts. (This is my major gripe) the aluminum inserts are simply sewn on and overlap. This causes the sharper edges of the sides of the brackets to rub on the poles as they must be splayed to insert each respective pole. This has already caused the anodizing to rub off and I have only set it up in the back yard to test setup. I will be reaching out to tech support for an additional set of inserts for this as well. A simple engineering solution presents itself again. A: design a two hole insert so the poles don't rub on each other. This would further allow for color coding the pole ends to the corresponding holes. Black and red respectively. B: design a three hole insert to allow the loop on the footprint to be pulled through the insert thus centering and securing it to the tent. Color code appropriately. Red/black/grey. C: what I will attempt while not as elegant as the above mentioned ideas. Add one inch of cordage with an insert avoiding the overlap rub

From family river trips to the kids' first climbing adventure-passing down a love of the outdoors requires the right gear to encourage it all. Meet the Habitude 4 tent. Built strong to handle primitive camping, this spacious tent features a standing-height interior that makes it easy to change clothes and navigate piles of gear.
The tent's single giant vestibule allows it to fit in smaller remote sites, such as those along river banks, while providing tons of outside gear storage. When the rain or wind unleashes, the tent becomes a sturdy retreat for card games or reading. And on long days, the glacial-blue fly makes earlier bed times possible, ensuring the rest you need for tomorrow's mission.
Standing-Height: High ceiling and vertical sidewalls let everyone move about comfortably, lounge and stand up to change. Door pocket allows for wide, easy entry.
Strong: Robust fabrics, super-sturdy pole geometry, and smooth-glide YKK stainless steel zippers endure rough use, little fingers, and challenging environments like sand, wind and rain.
Easy to Pitch: Sets up quickly by one person plus a small helper, thanks to hubbed poles, large, color-coded pole clips and a simple design.
Unparalleled Livability: Storage pockets for each occupant; extra hang loops; strategically placed mesh for airflow and privacy; enormous vestibule for outside gear storage. Polyurethane waterproof coating.
