Only one issue: There aren't enough "keepers" for the straps. I bought a set and added them to each place where the strap goes through a hook. You need to cinch the straps down at that place so they don't pop off the hook. The sole keeper that each strap comes with is for use on the "tail" of the strap, after you've pulled it to the side and over your shoe. You need four extra keepers for each snow shoe. That adds about $12.

The best option, both performance wise and especially value, for late spring/early summer mountain hiking, for adults. I have 11.5 US feet and these work great with trail runners. Enough float, not too heavy (2 lb 7 oz/pair), and excellent traction.

I like these snow shoes as they are shorter than the adult size, so I do not drag the back end in the snow. I wear a size 9 boot, and find that the fit is fine. The straps tend to come undone unless you have the black clips close to the buckles. I would prefer a slip in style snow shoe with risers in a shorter size, but I did not see a shorter style available for adults.

I'm a very small human and really struggled with the weight and size of the adult snowshoes on my pack (carrying them when I'll need them later in a hike). These were a total gamechanger for me. On more treacherous hikes, I still take my Lightning Ascents, but on everything else, these are more than sufficient. Traction far exceeded my expectations. If only they came with televators!! That is the one feature I really, really miss.

Bought two pair for my younger kids and they loved them. Stayed on well even in deep powder and running through rough terrain.

I am a petite adult and was having problems with the adult snowshoes having too wide of a stance for me. My knees would ache after even a short hike and I don't have knee problems. I ended up trying these and no more issues! Just an fyi for other small people!

I purchased these snowshoes for my son 3 years ago. I am so thankful I bought these for my son. It has allowed me to bond with my son in the winter outdoors. Since the age of 5 now 9, he has gone on five 4 day winter backpacking/snowshoeing trips covering over 11+ miles in the Western Sierra's with these snowshoes. They have amazing traction, easy to use, light weight and I believe the best on the market for kids. The max weight for the best flotation for these snowshoes out rank all other companies which make them last longer, getting more use as your kid grows older. No need to look around for a pair of kid's snowshoes, get MSR Shift Youth Snowshoes. You will never regret it!

The Evo's have let me enjoy wonderful sunrise in the mountains. I added the Evo-tail's for deep (powder) snow. What is great is the low weight, so longer trips in the mountain give more room for the other baggage. As with all MSR products, it is great to get maintenance parts after many years, although it has not been used yet that much due to the robust design.
