I have spent countless hours in snowshoes. I hike, hunt, and work my maple syrup bush with them. I always ran with what I thought was a great snowshoe until I tried my Revo. The grip, comfort, and lightweight blew me away. When I think of the miles and miles Ive walked, I can't believe I just never knew how much better it could have been. Shame on me.

Sent a message to customer service about straps being too short, even though I ordered the longer snowshoe. Never got a reply. It's been months and winter is over. Fail!

I have used these almost every weekend during winter for 3 years, and I love them. I live in Western Colorado, and have tested these to their limit. The only issue I am having is that the springs on my bindings tend to pop out, which can make tightening my straps on the trail kinda tricky. This started happening after year 2 of use. However, I can say that the ratchet function is the single best thing about these, and it makes them stand out from the competition. I do a lot of backcountry snowshoeing in deep snow, uphill, downhill, over trees, whatever you can imagine. I just really like snowshoeing, okay?? Lol. Anyway, these have held up miraculously well, and outperformed every other snowshoe that my friends wore during our adventures. They all use the traditional strap system, and their shoes simply won't stay on. In deep snow, the snow pushes their straps off the hook, or the snow packs in between the shoe and the strap, or the strap breaks. Not so with these. The straps fall off maybe once a month, in seriously weird conditions. I cannot say enough how much I love these! As a short female, though, I look forward to upgrading this year into the women's version so that I can try out that narrower stride. I do often step on my own shoes because I am very smol. Other than the buckle spring and my own extreme smolness, there is nothing I would do to change these shoes. I would recommend to anyone who wants to go off of a groomed trail.

Easy to use binding system with good grip in a variety of conditions. Highly recommended.

I've been on four snowshoes hikes with my Revo Explore snowshoes. I think the straps should be twice as thick, and the ratchet controls and releases should be bigger and easier to operate with gloves or mittens. I think these snowshoes were designed by people sitting at computers instead of snowshoeing on trails.

+solid weight +traction/grip +Televator for walking on a steep slope (contruction could be better) +HyperLink binding is ideal for smaller snowboard shoe (approx max 44-45? - I have 43 Thirty Two Prion) +probably more durable than Lightning +a bit flexible - good for traverses and uneven, bumpy surface -binding packability for downhill is worse than usual ordinary textile straps (but not bad) -Televator could be more robust and could have MORE TILT ANGLE SETTINGS -the metal frame could be REPLACEABLE and GRINDABLE similar to the crampons -possibility to use bigger snowboard boots Try to develop: Some binding system similar to semiautomatic crampons (with possibility to use this binding as a semiautomatic crampons independently) Some binding system using arbitrary snowboard binding (similar idea to splitboard) Possibility to change only binding system for different boot type not the base deck (=frame with plastic) Make your snowshoes to have maximal possible replaceable parts

These things are amazing! I don't understand the reviews about the bindings and their comfort. They are SUPER easy to use, and super comfortable. It might have a lot to do with what shoes you use. But they appear well built, and they float great in the snow. And the grip...oh the grip! It's literally like having a CJ on each foot. I can get in places that I never dared on foot alone, and they are quick to strap on and light to carry in--a great purchase.

Havent had a chance to use it out in the field, but got what was exactly described, everything is brand new, no marks or anything.

I have had the 2014 model and have probably 20-30 snowshoe trips on them. I just now had a component break and am working with MSR to get that repaired. They are light and fit very well. The bindings provide adjustable tightness that does not fit to tightly but still very secure. I agree with some other reviews as these are a bit loud, oh well. They are some of the best snowshoes I have had for a very reasonable price.

After a full season of heavy use I love these things. Crazy light, easy to strap on, keeps you afloat. Can't go wrong. :)

Great construction, climbing performance, durability, and weight. I've put these through a lot of different outings this year, and they're holding up very well. The built in step is a life saver if you're hiking uphill for multiple hours. I'd highly recommend these for a go to snowshoe

These shoes are a lot of fun. I work as a part time Snowshoe guide and getting these shoes was a game changer. The bindings are really secure, easy and fast to put on. The shoes themselves are fast! I think that's the best way to describe these shoes. They are fast on the uphill, fast on the downhill and fun to use. I haven't had any issues after a season of constant use in Utah

I need longer Hyperlink straps for the back connection; I am unable to tighten the factory straps since they are not long enough

I have the 2015/16 version of this snowshoe but it is almost identical to the current ones. I have now used it on 2 snowshoe trips and a handful of other day hikes. For the snowshoe trips I have used this with a total weight (myself and my pack) of around 210lbs without tails and the shoes have performed great! My favourites parts of these are the "Ergo Televators" aka the metal thing you push up so that you can climb upwards without tiring yourself out. I had to use them for a long uphill portion on my last trip and they made a huge difference.

Used these on winter snow search(Sierras). They did great off trail, steep ascent/descent, steep traverse, frequent on/off for water crossings. Pros: lightweight, quick release buckles, edge teeth give good bite on traverse. Cons: more teeth for descent

I'm really a skier, but I bought these for work. I'm an Innkeeper and often have to traipse around our property - tapping trees, picking up fallen tree limbs, etc. - and got tired of crunching through the snow up to my knees. These have solved the problem. I thought shoes with such a big open toe area would not give enough flotation but they definitely do (I weigh 175 and got the 25" model). They look slick, work great, and are easy to get into. They also have tails for the real light and fluffy stuff.

My first impression of these snowshoes is that they are light and fast. Entry and exit is quick and easy. The design has resulted in a lightweight construction, so much so that you barely notice these on your feet. Climbing and decending is smooth with minimal slippage (well for the incline I was on at least). My one complaint is that, while light, they do feel a bit flimsy, especially if you are carrying extra weight. For some that is a bit bigger or is likely to carry heavy packs, I'd recommend the Lightning Explore.

These snowshoes pack extremely well with my existing winter kit. They should strap nicely to any modern design 80+L pack with quick release clips on the side of the bag. The grip on these snowshoes is solid. I had no problems gripping ice on a sizeable slope. They have zero clogging issues in crunchy hard packed snow, powder, or sticky melting snow. The binding on these are extremely easy to use. A word of caution here, the boot you use needs to have some amount of rigidity. They work exceptionally with my winter boots, but poorly with my soft cross country ski boots (essential when back-country skiing requires a quick swap to master an overly steep section). Ascension mode is easy flipped on or off with standard baskets on trekking poles without bending down. I could almost turn this on at a run. The advantage going uphill in this mode is noticeable in reducing effort. I purposely buy snowshoes 25kg above my weight rating to ensure proper float with winter gear. In fluffy powder I sank as far as my knees. In all other conditions, the float has exceeded expectations. After less then a season of use, the metal edges have bitten the opposing snowshoe enough that the snowshoes look like they have been used longer than they have. They scratch easily and some of the paint has already come off. The issue seems purely cosmetic, but could lead to rust if not cared for properly.

I switched to the Revo Explore after using Evo's for many miles (which I loved) and I'm very happy with them. The HyperLink bindings take some getting used to. If you don't get the positioning right you might experience some toe crunch and discomfort. But once you get the positioning right and find the sweet spot, it's incredibly easy to take them off and on. My only gripe with HyperLink is that the skinnier, harder straps sometimes pinch a tiny bit towards the outside edge of the boot, rather than distributing the grip across the boot. But once I got the sweet spot this was fairly negligible. The traction on these is exceptional - I was able to do handle just about any terrain, from steep powder inclines to river crossings on downed trees. The televators are really nice for long inclines as well. Took these up Old Speck in Maine recently in extreme cold (-17F, about -50F w/ wind) - all our gear froze up solid but the Revo's held up like a champ. Only issue I've had is with < 50 miles on them the paint is scratched up badly, and the lamination over the logo on one shoe is peeling off. I expect them to get beat up a little but I wish the paint would stay on better. It's inevitable that you're going to step on them a bit in tough terrain and the teeth made short work of the paint and leave some serious gouges in the plastic as well. Overall, very happy though and looking forward to next winter!

We have 10 pairs of these snowshoes. They are my favourite snowshoes we have ever owned. The are fast to put on, easy to instruct others on use, and fairly light for long days on the snowshoes. The only issue I have with them is that so far 4 release buckles on the new binding systems have snapped off in the -30 celcius temperatures we are having this year.

The Hyperlink binding is Awesome and very comfortable, I wear Salomon hiking boots with great support. We venture Ice Age trails in Wisconsin, and a variety of other trails. Trekking up and down steep terrain with all types of conditions, these snowshoes are the only choice. Made in USA.....Greg .S in Madison, Wisconsin
