I purchased this to replace
I purchased this to replace the pump on my almost 30 year old dragonfly stove which has received a lot of use. I didn't want to throw out an otherwise perfectly good and working stove and am so pleased that MSR still provides compatible parts. The stove is now good for another 30 years of adventure in the mountains!

the old pump broke and
the old pump broke and needed a new one. Ordered a new one and now back in business. The old pump lasted over 30 years!

Love the Dragon fly stove and pump
Really like this dragon fly stove pump together with the stove. The ability to adjust the flame intensity between simmer and Full on makes cooking a wide range of meals a cinch.

MSR stove
Just got back from camping yesterday and my little MSR is still working like a champ. Nothing like a hot tin cup of coffee, even if it is instant, on a chilly morning.

MSR Stoves - good to go!
Lots of new kinds of trail cook stoves are popping up, but I will stick with my MSR WhisperLite and DragonFly stoves for feeding my groups of campers on our outdoor adventure wilderness trips in the Adirondack Preserve in NYS.

The Old reliable
I bought my first pump as part of a kit with the stove in 1995. It still works great, BUT I was about to depart for a very long backpack trip and thought it best to get a new one

Replaced pump after 20 years of use
I've had the dragonfly stove for 20 years and the original pump finally broke. The replacement pump was a perfect match.

Pump-pain
I very recently purchased the MSR Whisperlite International and worked so well until the pump stopped working - such a pain! And this happened when I'm about to test the stove for its first mountain expedition. I'm glad that it's not happening during the trip but unfortunate that I need to find a replacement and it's difficult to get one where I'm located. So the trip is on hold at this point. Wish you can help.

Fuel pump broke
This is an issue...... The plastic breaks easily. Please make a pump that can take a little outdoor use... Also please don't say it is not an issue. I had 2 pumps break 1 from just being in a bug out bag.

Functions well, but not quite as easy to use as the (much) older style. Harder to fit it into the fuel bottle, and more importantly, the old style thumb wheel valve was much more robust and easier to use.

Works wonderfully! In 2000, we bought our DragonFly for an extended camping/canoeing trip in Algonquin Provincial Park and it is still going strong! Thrilled that MSR has true replacement parts to keep the DragonFly going and that we don't have to replace with a brand new product. If we ever do, it will definitely be another MSR cook stove which will no doubt outlast us =)

Differences in pump for Whisper light and dragonfly?
Hi, is there any difference in fuel pump between the Whisper light and dragonfly? I use both stoves and need a new pump. Preferabely i will use one pump for both stoves.... The old pump broke down after more than 20 years of use, pretty gooed! Many thanks, Leen

Damaged pump
My pump suffered a crack, it would help me a lot to know what material the thread where the stop nut is made of is made of, it suffered specifically there and I would like to try to repair it with a special glue depending on the material to do it correctly, thank you very much and I will remain attentive.

MSR Dragon Fly Fuel Pump
My original DragonFly Fuel Pump cracked and leaked. It was many years old. I didn't use it once it started to leak.
The new pump works well and allows me to continue to use an otherwise great stove.

Perfect fit, but piston sticks a little
Happy to be able to replace the pump on my ancient MSR stove. This is the only moving part, so of course, this is what wears out. The new pump fits perfectly and does the job. However, at least while it is still new, the piston sometimes sticks a bit, making it hard to pump. Perhaps this will improve with wear.
