I ordered strap replacements for
I ordered strap replacements for my snowshoes in January 2026 - my very old snowshoe straps had broken ( 3 of them at once! ) when I took them out in January. The new straps arrived in 2-3 weeks and I just had a chance to snowshoe again with the new straps and they work well. A bit pricey, and unfortunately, didn't include any tabs to hold down the strap ends - so they do flap around freely. ( When the old straps broke outside, the small tabs got lost). But they work and hopefully will last many years.

The arrival time was FAST! And the installation was EASY! I was surprised to find these straps available as I thought my snowshoes were trashed. I am so glad to keep out of the landfill.

The straps are good, and
The straps are good, and the correspondence I had with whom I believe was Michael ( through email) was good as well.
Michael responded right when I needed a question answered by Cascade Design. Much appreciation sent to Cascade Design, but I will add that these straps do lose their suppleness, as the rubber dries out, and no longer fasten properly.
That's the nature of the material. I am hopeful not to replace these straps ever again, because the cost of replacing them was crazy. There is no blame for anything being posted towards Cascade Design. I guess that's what it costs.
Next time, I will watch the you tube video on how to make your own binding straps for these snowshoes, using different strapping material and tightening components. Again, this is not a negative, just a reality.

So great to have replacements available! This is the second time I replaced the straps on my Denali Ascents and they are still going strong! Your website and service are EXCELLENT!
I also refurbished my Lightning Ascents with:
"Paragon? Binding - Lightning/Revo Ascent Snowshoes" package and took them for a ride yesterday!! Easy to install and worked GREAT!!

Straps for my 30 year old snowshoes
I pulled my MSR snowshoes that I bought in 1995 out of the garage and found the straps were brittle and crumbled in my hands. I was so relieved to find the replacement straps.

My MSR Denali snowshoes are like new again. Well worth it. I have had these shoes well over a decade now with many treks on them. Very glad to have them like new again.
