Very easy for two people to set up. We got rained on all weekend and stayed completely dry, except for one small spot by the entrance. The clips on the inside of the fly that let you roll up the vestibule door were dripping water onto the screen front door, which in turned dripped a very small amount of water into the tent. But it was pouring all weekend and now we know to try to adjust them a little differently next time. Still easy to recommend and not worth dropping a star in my opinion.

I like the tent easy to set up light weight for how big it is handle some mild winds and rain well only complaint is the bungees and hooks that hold the rain fly doors up wick up water and leak through the rain fly which then drips through the mesh tent wall then inside of the tent. Other complaint is the rain fly door should come the with the two poles to hold it up like and awning

It's a great family tent for the price. It's been our go to tent for the last 3 or 4 years. It sleeps all 5 of us and our dog. The construction is lightweight but pretty sturdy. Definitely not as bombproof as many tents out there but what they save in heavy duty construction they make up for in weight. It's definitely a trade off but it works. And you can't beat the price for the quality.

The tent is excellent! It can easily accommodate 4p with a lot of stuff. But having this in mind that it's a car camping tent the huge front door should have been additionally equipped with mesh as well for hotter nights. This wouldn't make big any difference regarding it's weight.

I purchased this 10 years ago in 2013 and use it a few times each year, mostly in the spring or fall here in Texas. I always store the tent and fly separately in large cotton bags inside our climate controlled home so haven't had any issues with the waterproofed sides of the fly getting sticky as they will sometimes do. Just on this last camping trip the 2 clear plastic windows on the fly came unglued. Waiting to hear from Marmot if they sell replacements, otherwise I will attempt to re-glue them myself. The tent itself is so easy to set up, I can do it by myself but a second person makes it go faster. On our campout last week we had a HUGE thunderstorm roll in at sunrise, we just had time to make a thermos of coffee and grab granola bars and hunker down in the tent. It rained about 3 inches over a 2 hour period and we could feel the ground under the tent getting soft and spongy, the water was literally flowing under the tent. But the tent never leaked! The floor had a slight dampness when you touched it but no visible signs of water leaking in. This tent was well worth the money.

it's easy to set it up. I like the mostly vertical walls that provides great inside space. I also like the colors and shape of this tent.

Happy with the tent's performance but please please please make the tent carry bag a little bigger and perhaps top loading design (current trend) might be better to stuff them in.

I love how easy this tent is to set up and it offers plenty of room; however, the rain fly ripped at the seam after my 3 year old tripped over the guyline and caused the fabric to tear. I am going to have to repair it. It's a good tent otherwise!

So easy to assemble and lots of room. Quality is excellent. Can't wait to take it out in the wilderness.

I'm very impressed with this tent. It's the simple design that makes it stand out above most other tents. This is by far the biggest tent that I've ever used but since it's a family tent the size is still well within what I would expect. I believe the weight comes in right around 16 and a half pounds which does seem heavy but we are using this as a car camping and canoe camping tent so I can live with it. The closures are extremely smooth. I love the big D closures on the tent body. The only thing that I would change as far as closures and entry points go is I do not care for the double zip flap on the one side of the fly. I would much rather have two D closures on the fly and move away from the idea that I'm going to bring trekking poles with me to set up an awning that really wouldn't protect me from a whole lot. My other only gripe is the amount of stakes given with the tent. So there's four corners on the tent and then for each fly there's two points to anchor. These all have stakes but in my opinion the two most important stakes that you could possibly put in this tent would be to stake out the side of the fly. Staking out the side of the fly is critical because it will allow you to use the tent with minimal condensation. It seems to me that the choosing to save a few cents by not including stakes for the side fly Guy out points is a pretty bad decision. So basically add two steaks and I think this would be the whole package deal. Other than that I'm super impressed, the floor is bomber, the pockets inside for lighting are awesome all the extra storage pockets inside were great. My wife and I have three kids and the amount of pockets gives everyone a safe place for headlamps and phones or whatever else they might need. The vestibules are perfectly sized, they give us plenty of space for storage of shoes and gear and allow easy entry and exit. The basic shape of the tent is perfect and allows us to use it in every spot that I had to so far. Many of the oddly shape tents and longer tents don't fit on camping pads and that can be a real pain in the butt. I currently own four tents all from different manufacturers and the quality and design of this tent is equal to if not better than my previous favorite solo and two person tents from Big Agnes and MSR. Keep up the good work but next time don't cut corners and add the two extra stakes!

Awesome family tent. Super easy to pitch and spacious, with great headroom. My 9 y.o. always whinges about the accommodations when camping and this was the first time the princess didn't detect a pea under her mattress. My wife and I wished we had upgraded to this years ago!!

I have had this tent since Nov 2012 and have been using it since 2013 (there were 3 years since 2013 that I didn't go camping). This is a GREAT tent. It still looks new. It keeps the rain out very well with the rain fly in place. It's domed so it handles the wind. Assembly is fast and can be done with only one person but it's easier with 2. I'm 6'0" and can stand in it. It fits a full size air mattress and a cot along with some baggage. There are two vestibules and two large access doors. I highly recommend it and would buy another Marmot tent in a heartbeat. I've had Coleman tents before and I feel this is on an entirely different level. One of my Coleman tents was a weathermaster and was ok but much heavier, hard to assemble and only lasted a four years before the poles gave out. Just know when they say 6 person tent they really mean about 3 if you bring gear with you and plan on spending any time in the tent. 6 means sleeping bags lined up like sardines and nobody is moving anywhere and you just sleep on it. I think that's the case with most tents though.

Owned now for a year. Used a few times and once in wet /windy conditions. Dome design held up real well and stout against the wind with tent only staked down and without the guylines. The rainfly kept out the rain and with the double wall design, kept the inside nice and dry. Plenty of room for 4 with 2 queen mattress and gear in the back vestibule. Simple to assemble and peace of mind in not so good weather conditions. This tent is well made period.

Well made, easy to set up and take down. We got this tent to replace another tent that we got for our daughter's family of a brand that used to be one of the top brands. It had defects, and light leaks in the rainfly, was hard to put up and horrible to take down and stuff into their "burrito bag". We are trying to return it, but they are so disorganized that we are having trouble. I was thrilled to find that Marmot is still around. We have been going into the back country since 1975!

6 weeks ago we were camping into the 2nd week of June and 2 out of the 4 nights we were hammered by all nighter thunder storms. The rains were not permitted inside of our Limestone 6 person tent. We were very skeptical, on the first night, whether we would get drenched or not (we didn't). We were much more confident the 3rd night of our stay and was not disappointed when we woke up dry. We are very impressed with the level of protection this tent gave us.

Having owned smaller Marmot tents, I was excited to see how their larger ones stood up (no pun intended) to multi day camping trips so we took out the Limestone 6 for a five day excursion on the Kern river. Absolutely love this tent. It’s spacious, the double giant doors allow easy access, and the assembly is quick and easy (much like their smaller tents.) We stayed in temps of 50°-100° and never felt too hot or too cold. Can’t attest for the rainfly, didn’t need to use it. It stood up well against the wind, without the fly, but you should always be aware of wind directions before pitching any tent. The only “downside” is trying to find the fitted footprint for this model. Instead, I just swooped a 8’x10’ tarp from Lowe’s and it did the trick. Plenty of pockets for storage, easy setup and breakdown. Easy to get back into the storage bag, as well. Happy camping!

Perfect base camp tent. Roomy, sturdy, and well made. Stood up to multiple rainstorms including torrential downpours over the course of a week without a drop of leakage. Easy to set up.

This is supposed to be a new model. The only changes that I see over the old model is the absence of a window in the rain fly and the elimination of the front porch footprint. All the changes appear to be cost savings related. The tent performed well, was very spacious with ample head room. I felt that the vents in the rain fly were a little small for the tent, making it prone to some condensation on cool nights...I guess that's the trade off to retain heat on cooler nights. I bought it on sale and saved a bundle, so it was a good value. I don't know if I would rate it as high if I had paid the MSRP.

Great tent! I love a lot of netting so you can see the stars but the option of a rain fly for warmth and protection is nice. It easily fits my family of four with a lot of space to spare or expand! It's so easy to put up. One person could do it alone in no time. For a 6 person tent it is reasonably light but I would definitely split it up between people for backpacking.
