It is a small but spacious enough tent that has two layers, which is good to avoid condensation. The tent is freestanding, which is great for a long trip. I can really recommend it for solo trave

Marmot tungsten 1p UL is a good and ideal tent in terms of interior space and weight. It is easy to set up.But it has a serious problem. It is not resistant to strong wind at all.

Great tent! Lightweight and secure! The fly is a little hard with the velcro loops.

Perfect for bikepacking, light weight and super packable. So much better than my old tent.

The first time I got to use this tent was in a serious downpour that hit Black Moshannon State Park. I was there for a class on tracking for search and rescue. While this wasn't really a backpacking trip, I was obviously impressed by the weight. This little tent kept me dry all night. The vestibule area was big enough for me to put my Helinox chair with some gear on it. Gear and chair stayed dry as well. I love this tent!

This tent is ultralightweight, waterproof, and comfortable. I even managed to squeeze a friend in it once. I don't recommend doing that ?? But I've used this tent in multiple national parks, through all sorts of weather and I couldn't be happier!

This tent is simple, light, and easy to set up. I used it on a 4 night backpacking trip and it was great. It packs small and kept my pack light. The bivy door had plenty of space for my pack and gear, and the tent felt spacious when inside. My only complaint is that even with a Tyvex footprint, I ended up getting a hole in the floor material. It is ultralight material, so I tried to be careful with it, so keep that in mind, you need be careful to keep the tent from getting too beat up.

I love this tent! Got it to replace an aging non-UL Tungsten 1p. The overall size/dimensions are a perfect balance between small/light pack-ability, but some actual livability (the poles fit in the frame bag on my size Large Karate Monkey too!) Given how poorly I sleep when I camp these days, it's fun to have a nice place to hang out while I spend most of the night wide awake. Plenty of room in the vestibule as well for making coffee-in-bed, or whatever else. On top of that, Marmot offers it in a spicy, yet subtle colorway that tips the scale from tolerable to full-on enjoyable! I'll likely also snag the 2p version for times when my partner wants to join. This is one of those rare products that truly checks all the boxes.

Tent is so light that the shipping carton felt empty! I can't wait to try it out on my next backpacking trip.

I tried out my new Tungsten UL 1 person tent on a 10-day canoe trip. It was easy to pack and carry. Set up is very easy. The size is good with plenty of headroom. All of my gear fit in the vestibule. I left the fly off one evening and had a good view of the stars through the netting. The door opens easily and provides plenty of room for setting up your pad and sleeping bag. We only had one 20 minute rain shower and everything stayed dry. No problem with condensation on dewy mornings. I left off one star because I haven't used it enough to judge the durability.

So I love this tent. I used it on the Wonderland Trail for 10 days, and it worked wonderfully for me. The weight savings over my standard Tungsten 1P was a huge weight off my shoulders (ha) and inside was quite spacious and comfortable. Plenty of room for things inside and my bag and boots in the vestibule. I used some plastic sheeting to protect the bottom of the tent since I didn't want the weight of the official ground cloth. THE CATCH in this UL tent, with which I took great care while using and packing/unpacking due to the lightweight materials that are inherently (and acceptably) less durable, is that it's just a liiiittle too light. After 3 days of use, the pole and stake bags both developed small holes. Not a real problem affecting use of the tent, but quite unfortunate to find! I wonder if mine was a lemon or something. Marmot has not responded to my emailed questions so as far as I know, replacements aren't available. That said, the main parts of the tent are awesome and I'd recommend it with this caveat.

This tent was great just the right size for one person fits perfectly in any nook or cranny and is very waterproof. It is as light as it gets for a free-standing tent allowing you to place it anywhere there is no soil to use tent pegs. From a cliff face to a ledge (most of Maine). On top of this the color makes it almost in visible to the passerby.

I used this for a recent backpacking trip and it was perfect! Light weight and it held up to down pouring rain. I stayed nice and dry and cozy in this tent. I'll be taking it to Isle Royale National Park this week and I'm sure it will be perfect

Get this tent back in stock! Here's what I love about this UL 1P: - relatively light weight. For a fully freestanding tent it hits the mark. - can be set up in the tiniest of flat areas - weather/wind proof, ability to guy out for added security - doesn't sag when wet - spacious for a 1p - inexpensive for a ultralight tent. I got mine with a footprint for under $300. - durable I've done the JMT, Rae Lakes Loop 2x's, 2 Grand Canyon trips and this tent is still holding up strong. No visible signs of wear and tear. The thing I love most is confidently knowing that it will stand up to whatever Mother Nature throws at you! Love this tent!

For maximum usable space with minimum weight, the Tungsten UL 1P has poles that are pre-bent to increase interior space, and a full-coverage fly with vestibule.
More space means more comfort, and the Tungsten Ultralight 1-Person Tent delivers without adding extra weight to your pack. Zone pre-bend construction creates vertical walls for plenty of sleeping space and headroom for stretching out after your solo trek on the AT. "Easy pitch" clips and poles make it easy to set up quickly. If a downpour hits, the seam-taped bathtub floor ensures you'll stay dry and resists pooling, and the rain-shield flysheet won't stretch out if it gets wet.
Stash your pack, poles and other gear in the vestibule and tuck a headlamp into the UV lampshade pocket.People/Product/Planet Sustainably designed and manufactured in keeping with our commitment to minimum impact and maximum performance.
