This is a great tent. My first tent I purchased for backpacking actually. Super lightweight and easy to put up but left a lot to be desired after initial usage. The main con of this tent are the interior pockets. Lord is it annoying to have such useless pockets where everything just slides out of. A good pro is it has kept me pretty well throughout below freezing and the peak hotness of the summer. I have issues already though of the mesh getting some holes in it. I'm very careful with this tent packing it up and putting it down so I'm unsure what the cause of that is. Overall it's a good tent but if I were to pick again I probably would've bought something else in this range.

I love how light and roomy the tent is. The 2 person SuperAlloy worked perfect for my 4day backpacking trip. It helped lighten my pack by 2 pounds, replacing my 4 pounds 2person tent. The structure has great headroom and kept me dry through a heavy downpour. Room inside tent for me and my pack. The vestibule was large enough to stow my camp chair at night and protect it from the rain. The tent came with 7 light weight stakes. I added two additional stakes to stake out the fly, which is optional. My only thought is the interior pockets were angled horizontal and were not ideal.

Nice light weight 2 person tent that's lighter than my one man tent. Good price ! I'm happy ??

Nice and light. Pole broke in medium to heavy wind and punctured the fly. Marmot warranty covered it and gave me a credit, which made me very happy. Would use again but in favorable conditions.

For our BSA (formerly Boy Scouts) backpacking trip to Philmont, New Mexico, I purchased this ultra light 2 person tent. Since our trip was over 30 miles of rugged and high adventure and with extreme weather, I did not expect this tent to last for the two of us. It almost rain everyday and this tent kept us dry, mainly due to the rain fly. Occasionally, the wind picked up but this tent did not collapse. I own other 4 season 2 person tents but they are 3 to 5 times heavier. This is because the fabric is similar to parachute material. I thought this was the best ultra light yet rugged tent for most weather conditions.

I've had this for two years now, and it's served me well on many expeditions. It is incredible how small this tent packs up. If you're looking for a quality ultralight tent, then this bad boy is for you!

This tent is great. It's really light and packs down nice and small. The only thing I don't like about it is that the setup is a bit counterintuitive. I'm sure that I'll be fine with it once I get used to it though!

Smaller then a lot of 2 person tents but super light weight. My boyfriend of 6'3 and 220 lbs can't fit in it with me. But I love it? Such easy set up. Life weight.

Love this tent. Super easy to setup. Lots of room for me and my wife. Lightweight. Can't wait for my next hike or bikepacking trip.

This tent, I believe, is one of the best ultra-light weight units out on the market. For a person over 6'2" and 240lbs, I have plenty of room for myself and can sit up without touching my head on the interior. With two people it is tight, but doable. With two doors, and two vestibules, there is plenty of outside storage, and ease of exit. Now for the reasoning behind the 3-star - no replacement parts. I had the fly rip due to a fallen branch. I tried multiple times to purchase a new fly as I do not believe it is a warranty repair. They could not sell me a new fly, but had to go through the warranty replacement procedure (which I still don't want to call it a warranty as it was not the fault of the manufacturer that it ripped). After 3 months, still no contact as to the warranty approval or rejection. Living in the Pacific Northwest and backpacking 50-60 days of the year, not having a waterproof fly will not work. So buy this tent if you think you are never going to damage it. I would hate to try and get a new pole for it!! From what I can tell, there is no support for their tent products.

My husband and I love this tent!! It's super lightweight and a great price for what it offers. We've used it a few times now while backpacking and it's great. Packs up super easily and great quality for how lightweight it is. Definitely recommend!

I practically lived in this tent for the year that I went to wilderness survival school in Washington... It was honestly the best tent I ever had. I never had a single issue with it, and it went from soggy rainforests, to rocky deserts, to torrential downpours in sand dunes, to snowy mountains. It's really only a one person tent...two if you don't store your gear in it. It was extremely easy to put away, and quick to set up! It was great how lightweight it was. I especially loved laying in it and looking at the stars on nights where I didn't need the rain fly!

Amazing tent. Got it for a back packing trip wanting a super lite option. Got rained on both nights and a lot of wind. The tent help up great, especially for an ultra-lite option.

This tent is great, light and spacious. Only problem is that it's not freestanding so it's not good for campsites where you can't use stakes, like a lot of places in the desert. My rock contraptions didn't work as stakes in the high wind so I woke up to the tent collapsed around me and had to cowboy camp and hope it wouldn't rain. The next night when I was back to the forest with less rocky ground, the tent worked like a dream.

My wife and i recently took this tent on 100 miles of the Oregon coast and we LOVED IT! We cut a ground cover from a piece of plastic to protect the thin bottom, and it held up really well. Our only issue is that it is a little tricky to get out of, especially when your legs are sore.

The Marmot Superalloy 2p is the best true lightweight tent I have ever owned. It is an excellent choice for campers who could be overnighting in bad weather who might not have a protected campsite. It's also perfect for hikers who want a freestanding tent that can handle snow load, without the extra weight of a mountaineering four-season tent. Despite its light weight the Superalloy has tall walls, two doors, a large amount of headroom, vestibule, and a lot of internal pockets that make the tent seem much larger.

I set this tent up in limited light, after being exhausted from a hike, and it only being my second time putting up the tent I had it fully set up in less than 5 minutes. Excellent tent, very light, very easy to set up, plenty of room for one person and their gear.

This is my first backpacking tent and I absolutely love it. Great colors and super lightweight. It only takes a few minutes to set up. I backpack with my 65lb dog and he hasn't managed to tear any holes yet.

Have used this tent on a couple backcountry trips now and it has done very well. Staked out properly, no moisture has leaked in; is very light weight, even better when purchased on sale. Very roomy for 1 person, slightly too cozy with 2 people, though manageable. Love the colors, but only downside is the lime green does seem to attract certain bugs? Sad that the tent package does not include a tent footprint. Due to the tapered nature of the tent, have tried altering footprints to find a more affordable option, but has been hard to get a good fit. Will be purchasing a proper footprint that is specific for the tent soon.

I wasn't sure whether I would notice a different in this tent versus other backpacking tents I've had (4-5lbs range). It was a huge difference. What I didn't expect was how much smaller it would pack down. I like to pack my tent body and fly in a compression sack and it packs up a little bigger than a Nalgene.

I was caught in a really bad storm, with rain lightning ect, and high winds; this tent kept me dry and was easy to setup. Did not budge or bend; my 60pd dog also felt safe inside, and there was plenty of room for myself and him. I love it

The tent is easy to set up and does great in the rain. I wish it had some vents that opened up because it can get pretty warm inside. The side pockets inside the tent work for shoving stuff sacks into, but not much else due to their angle. I really do like this tent, although there are a few aspects that could be improved upon.

I had a chance to use the Syperalloy last week for a quick overnighter. The tent is super light, have poles and stakes ready to go because even a small breeze tried to take it away before I grabbed the stakes. Plenty of room as a 1p tent with gear. Two will fit cozy. The interior side pockets are all but useless as they are slanted and everything falls out. It was a nice night so I can't speak to the rain worthiness yet. Bent 1 stake easily on first pitch. I'll replace those with some Eastons I've had for decades. Overall, I really like it. I'll stitch the pockets so stuff doesn't slide out. I'm replacing a 25yr old Sierra Designs tent that weighs twice as much. I'll be interested in the longevity of this lightweight tent. Awesome colors

If you are looking for the best you have found it. No need to keep agonizing over which tent to pick, this tent is durable, light weight and spacious. I tried another ultralight brand and the thing barely lasted a season. If you are counting ounces but also wanting to make an investment that will last buy the Superalloy. Then enjoy mocking your friends as they drag some heavy tent up the mountain or some garbage piece of ultralight nylon that will fall apart on night two.

Function per gram, this tent is brilliant! It's got all the basics plus great style and weighs a shade above a kilo. It's a tad squeezy for two (you'd need to like the person!) but absolute luxury for one.
