I just got my Marmot Montreal coat a couple days ago. I was so excited to get it as we’ve been having extremely cold frigid weather in Illinois. All I can say is WOW, I love this coat!!! It’s so warm and comfortable. I was a little concerned that it would be longer than I wanted beings that I’m 5’3”. It wax perfect. Also , I went with what most were saying on the reviews to buy a size bigger. I’m glad I did because weighing 125 lbs it’s very comfortable and I have room to wear sweaters under this coat. It has all the features I was wanting, zipper that zips from the bottom up, hood with fur (bonus* the fur comes off to wear hood without it), warm lining, many pockets and it isn’t overly bulky! This is my first Marmot coat but it won’t be my last. Thank you for a great quality winter jacket.

I wanted to like this coat so much! The one thing it is, is warm!!! The coat I received had a duck pond smell to it and the arms were strangely cut almost too low so it pulled across the chest. I got a size bigger to avoid it being too tight across the chest as the other reviews had mentioned. Maybe it will work for certain other body types, but sadly it didn’t work for mine, I returned it.

Great jacket- it is a little tight in the chest area so I'd get one size bigger. Great customer service from sunny sports when we got a size too small - covered all shipping costs and got the bigger jacket to us in a few days.

This coat feels a lot lighter than it is - making it super comfortable to move around in, and also very warm! It is more water-resistant than other down coats I have had before. Some feathers will poke out if you fold it up small (saw this in other reviews and noticed it when I smushed it in my gym locker), but it will be fine if you hang it up. Got the navy blue and it is a great color- about as slimming as a puffy coat can be! :)

Beautiful coat, and fantastic warmth. My only issue is the durability of the material, as afar owning it for few days the front/right side of the coat must have gotten caught and ripped, exposing the goose feathers and loosing the “fluff”. Now my coat looks ridiculous and I can only wear it go walk my dog when the sun is not out. I recommend for warmth, but not for durability. If your dog jumps on you, or you’re walking through wooded area or have any chances of getting the coat caught on something then do not buy. Soft very fragile outside material.

Fantastic coat. Lightweight but so soft and warm. Beautiful lining on the inside. One star removed for the sizing, which runs very small. I’m 5’5” and weigh 124lbs, usually wear a small and I could barely zip the coat in size S. Buy this coat but size up! I will be calling to see if I can exchange otherwise I will be forced to return.

I would defiantly recommended this coat. I've worn it now for one week and I've received many compliments on the color, look of the coat, it's very warm, goes up high around the neck, you don't need a scarf unless you wanted one, and the hood is perfect. I followed the guidelines on the website on sizing and it was a perfect.

I am short (4'11.5"), so this coat comes down almost as far on me as the Marmot Montreaux does on my daughter who is 6" taller. The interior fabric is soft and warm, but does not drag against clothes when putting it on. In order to put the hat up, the coat does need to be zipped all the way up or the hat lands firmly in your eyes, something that makes sense anyway. The interior fabric cuffs keep cold air from reaching wrists and help meet up with glove cuffs.

I've search all over but I finally found the PERFECT coat!!!! I love the length! It keeps you warm on the coldest day...love the fleece lining, even on the collar, pockets, and at the end of the sleeves ..... I loved it SO MUCH that I bought my daughter the exact same coat! Already 2 of my good friends loved mine so much that they bought one for themselves too! I highly recommend this coat ... it's warm-true to size-and very flattering !!!

Because I had read reviews, I knew what size to order. I typically order Small but the Medium is perfect (I am 5'6, 140lb). The fabric is very soft, and I especially like the versatile hood. Keeps me extremely warm in the blustery frigid New England days. I have a feeling that this will last for many seasons to come.

Great in snowy conditions. Never cold. Faux fur I think is a bit ugly(would have been better in a cream colour), but detachable so I will probably eventually do away with it.
