I took this tent up to Boston Basin with the hopes of doing a ridgeline climb? but I woke up in the middle of the night hyperventilating. It felt like altitude issues? except I was sleeping 4000 ft LOWER than where I live. I determined after the fact that I was probably suffocating myself? and it was my acclimatization that likely saved me from such a fate. There needs to be stronger warnings that you MUST VENT the tent.

Light 4 season tent. I bought this tent because its one of the lightest 4 season 2 person tents on the market. It's a little difficult to setup since the poles are inside the tent but that's the price for decreased weight. It's also pricey. Material is solid and tent is what's is expected of Marmot.

Disclaimer, I'm a Marmot gear tester. I've used the Bibler I-Tent and the BD First Light. The Hammer ranks alongside these two in terms of weight, packability, footprint etc. For resistance to weather, the Hammer works as well as any single wall out there. Like all 4-season single walls, this is spendy, but I highly recommend!

Even if you're way, way in the backwoods, you won't sacrifice a good night's sleep in the Hammer 2-Person Tent. Get that and more with this 4-season tent, thanks to waterproof nylon ripstop fabric that shields you from rain, snow, and other unfavorable weather. Finally make it to your destination and the sky opens up? The single-wall construction is simple to set up, so you can take shelter faster. Keep precipitation out with its seam-taped, catenary-cut bathtub floor that resists pooling, attach the included vestibule with snow flaps if the temps drop below freezing, and use the internal guy out system once the wind picks up. Stow your gear in the interior pockets, and use the light-reflective points to identify your campsite at night.
