Have both a high and low pair. Had the low shoe first and like it. Higher one not so much. Heel feels to high. Seems to encourage me to lean and walk back on my heels. Fits well otherwise but is uncomfortable to walk around because of the weird balance feeling.

I've bought about 10 pairs of the Moab 3 in the last 10 years (both waterproof and non-waterproof), and this is the best hiking shoe / boot I have ever owned. I've tried various brands over the years prior, and each had their shortcomings... not so with the Merrell. Nothing negative about the boot - even the factory insole is very good (at one point, I replaced with a Good Feet insole, which made the feel worse, so I switched back). Stop shopping for boots, this is the one...

I have been a big fan of Merrell hiking boots for decades. I have tried many others but my feet seem to like these the best. I have hiked mountains, deserts and even wandered a bit outside of the US in them. They are even comfortable for me as a work shoe. Price point isn't too bad either. Quality. They hold up to a lot of abuse from me. I keep coming back for more. Customer Service. On point. Very helpful. I am wearing mine right now.

I bought these before a hiking trip out to Arizona. Wow was I impressed. Much better traction then typical outdoor chain store brand. They are almost too grippy on rock faces. If you need to pivot your foot. You will have to relieve a little pressure first. In dirt covered rock face these boots bite into the surface with authority and give the traction you need. They are all day comfortable, and have never let me down. The cost is way cheaper than a broken ankle and a ruined vacation!

I just bought these to replace my old pair. They look great and feel very similar (which I like). I do notice a tiny difference in the weight but it could be because my old pair are used and abused. I'll update this review once I put some miles on them.

Great shoe for the money. I started working in this boot immediately with no real break in period. Its the first pair of Merrells I have owned and I am pleased.

I've worn these shoes almost everyday for over a year. I've wore them to social gatherings as a casual dress and on mountain hiking trails. They are still going! I consider myself overweight yet these shoes are still performing as good as the day I started wearing them. I have another pair waiting on me! I purchased a second pair for standby because I was afraid Merrell would discontinue this model! I'm so glad they haven't . Best all around shoe. I did not get the waterproof as they run hotter. I wear these in summer to go right through streams. Non waterproof aids in drying time when on the trail. Thanks Merrell for a great shoe!! You've got me!!

Once upon a time I only wore Merrell shoes and boots. I went away because I couldn't find my size in any stores and I was leary of ordering online and them not fitting. I wanted the Jeep branded Moabs but didn't order in time. But, I took a chance and I'm so glad I did. They fit so well and I love the look. The souls grip and support so well. The Moab 3 is still the best mid height boot available. I love them.

Very good shoe, I deliver for Amazon in rural areas. The lightness, durability and ankle support is a good combo in this boot. I'm on my fourth pair right now. They last about 7 months of 50 miles a week of asphalt and dirt road walking. Never had an issue with the construction of the boot. Rubber wears out. But to be expected with use.

I have been buying Moabs since the Moab 1. The 3rd Gen seems to be the lightest and I like the new colors. The shoes seem to hold together well, with no separation of the soles or upper toe webbing. The soles on the Moab 3s are the longest lasting by far, wearing out slower than the Moab 2s. However, the uppers don't seem to feel as robust, and feel less supportive that the Moab 2s. But what's REALLY annoying, is the laces - they come untied CONSTANTLY and need to be tightly double knotted from the first day of wearing. This all started with the Moab 2s, but usually not until after a couple months of wear. While I like the LOOK of the laces, I absolutely HATE having to tightly double knot them just so they don't untie themselves after 15 minutes of wear!

I bought my Moab boots over a year ago. My foot changes size due to old age and poor blood flow. This boot adjusts to it all. I will definitely want to buy another Moab .

My new Moab 3's experienced their first mileage today in the rugged State of Maine and they were two and a half miles of dirty sidewalk with the occasional broken bottles, black ice or the remnants of winter grime. I felt safe and cozy every step of the way! For me, Merrell's are the only way to stride because of the nice fit, quality of construction and, if you can forgive my vanity, the stylish appearance they are known for. The Moab 3 in Beluga are a great choice, I think. There are a few weeks left of deepfreeze and then mud season begins so I expect some difficult miles ahead, but these puppies can take it all. I just wish I had a nice back-country through hike to go on!

Good solid boots. Took a couple weeks to break-in to feel totally comfortable. Hard soles on these boots. A bit slick on wet rocks/roots. Great in sand, mud, dry rocks, etc.

These have been tested in Yosemite, Hawaii and the Grand Canyon, they performed very well. I am 71 years old but my 26 year old son really put them to an endurance test! Nice comfortable fit plus look pretty good. I would recommend and purchase another pair, actually bought another pair for my son so I wouldn't loose mine.

Great! I used to wear these on deployments and they would last 1 deployments and 1 work up before replacement. They still last up against a lot of field time plus my back and knee pain reduced.

Got them at REI in Seattle last spring. Kind of disappointed I can't even walk across wet grass without my toes getting soaked through to the socks. Otherwise they're sturdy and supportive.
