Good stuff

So far so good. The only reason I didnt' give it five stars is because I haven't had it long enough to see how it will hold up over time. But it looks very promising from initial use.I used it to repair the sole of a shoe. It already works better than Shoe Goo. It's very very sticky - acts more like glue. And it takes a pretty long time to dry - I wound up leaving it over night. Despite these things I think it's going to work really well.

Mostly Wonderful

Made both cracked soles of my Birks reliable for overseas wear. Repair of Hiking boots not tested. Repair of cheap nylon soles failed. Possibly my error.

Freesole is an excellent product.

We have used this McNett Freesole to repair the soles of sneakers; however, we have used it on new hiking/hinting boots to seal the stitching and rubber rand on probably 10 pairs. This extends the life of the boots significently. When boots are new take Zippo lighter fluid and an old toothbrush to clean all areas to be sealed. Let dry for several hours. Now take the freesole and coat all the stitching and around the rubber rand. Let dry for a minimum of 24 hours. Now I spray the boots with a high grade silicone water-proofing two or three times in 24 hours. Let the boots dry a minimum of two hours between the silicone treatments. We may give the boots 4 to 6 treatments over two or three days. Now we set the boots outside on blacktop in the hot sun so the boots become warm.-( A hair dryer could be used if hot sun is not available). We now brush Montana Pitch Blend on all the leather. We have found this process to really extend the life and function of the boots. Leather boots really resist absorbing water and remain soft and comfortable.

Freesole

It works well and wears well on tennis shoes, but it really needs to set up for three days or more so it won't peel off as easily. If you let it cure for several days before use it works very well and protects wear areas for many uses.

The best for shoes

If you have shoes that the soles are falling off of, this is the only glue to use. Shoe Goo, rubber cement, Gorilla Glue, etc. all fail after a little use. This stuff, if used as directed, really lasts.

a superior product

i use this product on the bottom of my tennis shoes. in order to maximize my dollars, i cut up the rubber bottoms of other used-up tennis shoes into small pieces. i then mix together with freesole and apply the concoction to the toe area of my expensive tennis shoes. it takes a little work, but its worth it.
