The Boots to get.
If I only had one pair of hiking boots, this would be it. When the footing gets tricky, they give you a secure grip. They?re on the heavy side compared to the sneakers masquerading as hiking boots. That?s the price you pay for the good grip and the ankle support. My only criticism is that unlike their Renegades, Lowa only offers the Rangers with GoreTex lining. Living in the grass seed capital of the world, I hate fabric boot linings. The Rangers would be perfect with a leather lining.
This classic trekking boot features embossed waxed nubuck uppers for a rugged heritage look. With a one-piece design, and multiple comfort features such as the anatomically designed C4 Tongue and X-Lacing for precise foot hold, it's perfect for many miles of hunting and hiking, both on- and off-trail. Durably waterproof/breathable.

Nylon joint-stabilizing element offers perfect support for more intense outdoor activities.
LOWA DuraPU
This denser PU material is used in Classic & ATC models. It absorbs shock, rebounds well, and is extremely durable.

2-Zone Lacing
