So far, I have used this tent for fall camping in Colorado, Arizona, and Utah. It held up very well and was easy to set up in windy conditions. It is a perfect size for a small family / couple with some stuff!

Super easy setup, tent bag is VERY roomy (no shoving necessary) and easy to carry, and there are more than enough tiedown points to make the tent feel secure even with some very stiff wind. We've only used the tent 3 nights so far, but did have a significant rainstorm one night (0.5" in about 2-3 hours) and stayed bone dry inside.

Tent is easy to put up, and the extra "rumpus" room space is really nice. I will say, though, this tent is not exactly made for wet weather. It's got a Velcro flap at the top, I'm assuming for ventilation/air, that allows water in the tent and actually drops it right in the middle. We were not expecting severe storms and hail, so I will say the tent held up nice and otherwise kept us dry. Also to note, with the big rumpus space, this tent does NOT fit on a typical, raised tent pad.

We have been squeezing 2people and a dog into 2person backpacking tents for too long! Finally upgraded our car camping set up and I am happy with our tent purchase! Easy to set up. Tons on space inside and in the vestibule! Love the colors and it easily fits back into the bag.

I've only had this tent out on one trip, but the huge vestibule was a real blessing while camping in the snow. It's a convenient spot to keep gear boxes out of the weather and be able to put on & take off boots while sitting in a chair.

Worked well on a recent trip to Utah. Great size for 2 people & their gear. Pre-attached guylines w/ pockets is a great feature. The large vestibule was a life saver when high winds & rain drove us inside early. Stacked totes & firewood underneath, along with a chair, & hung a small battery lantern, much better than sitting inside the tent all that time. The only change I would make is adding multiple points to secure the vestibule flap, so it can be partially rolled or just one side opened.

Only used it for a couple of nights so far, but I'm loving it! Perfect size, I really enjoy the covered doorway option. Had some light rain but that's nothing to this tent.

This is the PERFECT car camping tent. It?s easy to setup, plenty roomy, and the giant vestibule makes for the perfect camp ?living room?. It?s the all-in-one party setup. 10 out 10?definitely recommend.

Great size, great awning, but be careful. I'm not sure how it happened, but the rainfly is torn after one use. Other than that its a perfect car camping companion.

Great tent for storage, the vestibule gives a lot of extra space, and the tent is also tall. Looks great & I was able to fit my family of 3 plus 2 dogs comfortably. Worked out great when we ended up getting doused in rain, we staked the vestibule and stayed dry.

For car camping in a small vehicle, this is a lot of space in a small package. Generous for one, with a cot and a chair. Decent for two. Setup is pretty easy, be sure to READ the unusually GOOD directions through first, both sides of the page. Poles are very long, so consider this when choosing site and before pounding the stakes in - need room to maneuver. The pole sleeves work well, setup was quick. As others have noted, the zipper seems frail, although blessedly quiet. Also, Kelty could put toggles and loops about a foot below the rear fly velcro tabs so that the rear of the fly can be rolled up halfway and secured for better ventilation in dry weather. You can still do this, it sort of holds itself if you're careful rolling it. A clothespin would work, too. Front porch option is great, and unusual. Velcro tabs on fly front are also good, so you don't need to use zippers for quick privacy needs. You can't stand up fully, but enough to maneuver fairly comfortably. Keep this design, Kelty - no one else has it in this size.

This tent was perfect for family camping this summer. We have always wondered how we would fit our two great Danes and kids into a tent for camping. The gigantic vestibule is as big as the inside of the tent and it was really nice to just flop down two dog beds outside but still feel like the dogs are in the tent with us. All of our camp gear can fit inside the tent and vestibule with two adults and two kids. We really liked the versatility and easy set up of this tent. I would have liked to see aluminum poles but I understand as this tent is a really good deal . Thanks Kelty we will definitely be back for more gear.

I bought the handsome Rumpus for one and two person camping. It has a high ceiling, much better for older campers. The 4 is about 5' tall. I love the simple set up. It has a predominantly mesh body, and a fly that covers well. I had it for three nights of extremely hot/humid weather, and left the front of the fly open, as well as part of the back. I used a small battery operated fan to keep a slight breeze moving, which worked well. This tent reminds me of the Moss tents we have had in the past. Its really lovely. If you need to be able to stand up inside, get the Rumpus 6. It also has a back door and small rear vestibule. Perfect for a small family, if the kids aren't too rough on the zippers. One issue, seam sealing has to be done at home. Kelty only does the floor seams. I can do this, but it would be great to have factory sealed seams all around.
