Plenty of storage space, straps and buckles way too small

Great Bag
I have carried a lot of cheap daypacks up a lot of mountains in the North East. This purchase has made me question my sanity. The bag is so well fit as to be completely unnoticeable, even with a 20 lb load. Never again will I take for granted the difference a quality backpack makes when you are hiking.

Love all the features
I use this backpack to lug my laptop, water bottle, and various other supplies back and forth to work and school. It does the job nicely and I appreciate all the features. My only complaint is I can't quite get the straps to sit comfortably. The whole thing bumps into my tailbone if I don't shorten them significantly, but when I do that the clasp across the chest causes them to sit weirdly. I think it's a "me" thing and not a major problem though.

Good quality, fits well
My parents have a Kelty 301, and It's been around for about as long as I have. It's been to hell and back and it's still in rather good shape. Not having a laptop spot was really a problem though. This is pretty much an updated 301. It's got the laptop sleeve and better fitting straps. It fits really well, and it's a good size. I got the Midnight Navy and really like the color. Even if it only lasts half as long as the 301 has it'll be a worthwhile purchase.

My personal item on airplane
I have a Redwing 50 for hiking but wanted a smaller pack to go under the seat when traveling by air. This pack did everything I wanted. It fit under the seat and carried the things I needed. The pack is well made, has good padding for my iPad in the computer pocket, has good organization for pens, pencils, flashlight, toothbrush, writing paper and plenty of room for other things. It was my day pack while at my travel destination. Very nice pack.

Excellent everyday pack
It’s the perfect size and has lots of compartment to help keep me organized. It fits a lot more than it looks like it can. Love the light weight, streamlined design.

The backpack materials were high quality just like the big brands like north face. I got the black color and it looked like north face. Very impressed, BUT it was a little too narrow for my liking as it couldn’t fit my computer case, not that you’d really need one because the padding was great, but keep that in mind if your storing wider things in a backpack.

Good for EDC and travel
Got this bag after getting an urban assault 24 from Mystery Ranch. I wasn’t a huge fan of the layout of the UA (internal organization pockets are blocked by what’s in the bag) but I’m really happy with the slate. I’ve used it for EDC and for a couple weekend trips. I was able to fit a weekend’s worth of clothes, my laptop, and toiletries in the bag with no issues. I’ve been a Kelty fan for a while now and this, so far, is another great pack from them. Just need to keep my eye on it to make sure my wife doesn’t steal it since she told me she liked it and it looked sharp.
