Good hight but wish it had hire back for sleeping
It's a good chair. I wish it had a higher back to rest your head back. I need sleep:)

Great high quality chair!
I don't like regular chairs of any kind.. sitting low is so comfortable for me.

Great fit
Works well and comfortably for people who can squat 400 lbs. Being down lower means large legs can rest easy without a metal bar or canvas cutting across the hamstring area.
The angle of recline is perfect and the build quality seems top notch. I will be recommending to friends. Brown color is great also.

These are so clearly the best of the best. I unboxed them in front of some friends and we were all immediately impressed. So comfy - so functional with the storage wrap/carrier strap - will only buy these from now on..

I love this chair. I knew I would because we also have the low down love seat and have given two more as gifts. Every time I get up from my seat around the campfire or at an outdoor concert or wherever, someone else is sitting in it when I get back. They go, oh this is a comfortable chair, and I say yes, I am aware, I'll just sit on the ground or in your cheapo chair now since I'm not mean. Jk. I just went on a beach trip and don't think I had the pleasure of sitting in it nearly the whole time.
For real, it's great that it's easy to carry around with the carrier and strap (and there's room to smuggle a beer in it) and it has a cup holder once you've gotten past the security check. It's low enough that you don't feel rude sitting in front of other people but not difficult to get out of for older folks.

excellent chairs
we loved the chairs so much we bought two more. So far, they work great and work for everyone in our family. We like the ease of storage and how they are lowdown. So far these are the chairs that have lasted the longest. Not one broken yet. A bit expensive but hoping they really will last like the last set we got. We got these so everyone could have one.

Down low on the lowdown
I love the lowdown, the durability though is lacking. I'm 6 foot, 215 pounds and I've had the chair for a year. The back is slowly bending back. I first started to notice it when folding it down one day. Makes me sad cause I really like the chair. Low to the ground and comfortable at music festivals and watching sunsets. Needs to be more durable.

I tried 4 different chairs
I ordered three other camping chairs, all of them around the same price as this one. I hated everything about them all until I landed on this chair. It should have been the first one I ordered. We already had the loveseat version which is great too.
For reference, I'm 5'11" and weigh a little over 200lbs. It fits me very well without feeling like I can't move around or feeling cramped. And I really like the wrap that it comes with instead of a lame little bag. It's a nice touch and keeps everything tight and compressed while traveling.

Great chair
Love the chairs but if you are of the larger size they are tight. I'm not a big guy by any means but my shoulders do feel cramped when sitting in the chair. My wife loves it though.

Lowdownn chair

Great chairs!
We purchased two of these to put in our camper van. All the other chairs we looked at were bulky and just took up too much space. These are perfectly sized and comfortable. I am a larger person and I still find them comfortable to sit in and easy enough to get in and out of, even though they are low. The drink holder is great for a variety of bottle and can sizes. The wrap around storage case makes it easy to put them away ... no trying to stuff them back into a bag.

My Favorite Outdoor Seating
The Kelty Lowdown chair is by far my favorite chair for sitting around the campfire, hitting up athletic events for family, hanging out at the beach or getting my snowboard gear on in the parking lot. It's incredibly comfortable and the perfect height for lounging and getting comfortable. Kelty chairs are my go to and I keep a Lowdown and a Lowdown Loveseat in my car year round to ensure my family of three all have a seat wherever we go. Don't balk at the price. These chairs are worth every penny and will last years if you treat them right.

Exactly what we were looking for
Finding the right camping chair has been a long process. Like Goldilocks, we tried many chairs that were not quite right. This chair has a great angle, is low to the ground but not too low, and the carry case/ground cover is perfect.

Can't Get Enough
This is our third lowdown model. Bought the double. Then the triple. Next my wife bought the single. Then my son started using my wife's single so we got him his own single. We love and use them all. At the beach, baseball tournaments, car camping trips, picnics, etc. Always the most comfortable chair at the party! :~)

Perfect chair
This is a great product. They roll up in an easy to open/close wrap and fold open in a second. Our first use was at an outdoor concert. We comfortably carried them over our shoulders, walked half a mile, and stood in line for 30 minutes. The super bonus was having the wrap material, which is nicely insulated, available to use as a wrap for our legs when the temperature dropped to 50. When the concert ended, we were packed up in a second while others around us wrestled with poorly designed camp chairs. We couldn't be happier with this purchase.

Great chair
We seem to have so many needs for a portable chair and I've been scouting options and this one looked pretty good. We tried them out at a recent all day swim meet and were very pleased with our purchase.

Great chair
This is my second lowdown chair order. I had 2 until my fat brother-in-law broke one. I'm pretty sure he was drunk, leaning back in it on the sand, but he never admitted to it.
Anyways... great chair, the carrying case is super helpful. The lowdown is great for putting in the water to get your legs wet or having the kids sit in. It's kind of hard to get out of if you are old, because it's so low.

Seem like great, comfortable, well-built camp chairs so far.
Review based on very short-term ownership. I purchased 2 of these as family Christmas presents to replace aging REI camp chairs that have been reliable, but never comfortable. Chair seems very robust and well-built, looks like it'll last a long time. Aesthetics are good. I like the color scheme (bought blue ones). These are notably more comfortable than our old chairs, more consistent support and solid feeling. My wife noted, and I agree, that they are noticeably low, which may be an issue for the elderly or people who have other physical concerns. Fine for us middle-aged campers who still backpack and are very active...just something to consider. The "wrap" design, instead of a storage bag, is interesting. I'm ambivalent about those - I could see my dog taking advantage of it as a bed. You could use it to haul some firewood but I feel a bit like it's a solution looking for a problem to fix. No matter, I bought these to sit on so, for that, 5 stars.
