I carried this backpack while hiking el Camino (twice) and would never leave home without it now. It's like winning the backpack sweepstakes: Everything you want/need, nothing you don't. Super-comfortable to the point that by the end of my journey, I actually felt more comfortable wearing it than I did without it. Distributes weight evenly with broad shoulder straps and adjustable waistband. Side pockets are perfect for keeping water bottles or trail guides within easy reach. In addition to hiking/camping, I also use this as my go-to bag when traveling (commercial airlines etc.). I travel light, and this works perfectly as my carry-on. No need for check-through baggage as everything I need fits nicely in this backpack. I am not a materialistic person, but I have to admit that I truly LOVE this backpack.

Used recently on a hiking trip. good capacity to carry overnight trip. however small pockets outside would have helped to keep essentials outside and not dig inside through deep pockets. Air channels help only a little. back becomes sweaty like any other backpack. Have seen osprey bags with nets that might prevent excessive seating
