Garmin Instinct GPS Heart Rate Monitor Watch

made the switch from an apple watch to a Garmin Instinct Tactical a couple weeks ago. finally got it all set up the way i like it and i have zero complaints about it. the apple watch is too busy so switching to the instinct has been a great move as it only has the features that i need.

Well I was not expecting to like it as much as I do. I jump every time a notification comes in and I like the fact I can see how my heart rate goes up and down.

After about 3 years with my Instinct watch the heart rate monitor stop working, I message Garmin through their online call. They could not be more helpful, after trying lots of different way to see if they could sort the watch out they offered me a new watch. Explaining how long it would take for me to receive a new one. After printing off the label I need and sending it back I received a new watch (3 days from me sending my old one off) Could not me more happy with the after service I received. I was very happy with the watch and highly recommended them to anyone. Thank for all the help. 5 STARS

I?ve had this for two days and I?m already addicted to all the data it provides. The UI is super intuitive after getting the hang of what the buttons all do. You can also customize literally every screen to show exactly what you want to see, and there are a ton of data fields to pick from. Pairing with a phone and external sensors is effortless. Moving up from an older Vivosmart HR to the Instinct gave me everything I always wished for in the fitness band. I was already a fan of Garmin watches, and this watch does not disappoint!

Ottimo per fare sport ed escursionismo, mi piace quasi tutto mi sembra preciso sia come sensori ( cardio) che come gps e abc, per ora funziona benissimo ottima app della garmin?. Unico lato negativo il quadrante un po? piccolo per me faccio fatica a vedere i dati .. cmq promosso

I love this watch I used every day but the screen cracked after a rock hit it this was after the warranty expired then they accepted as a warranty repair and they also lost in to what the customer wants

Only had for couple of days but seems like a decent watch. Bought it to replace a vicoactive and right away noticed screen is much brighter and easier to see. Old watch was over 10 years old and still going so hope this one does the same

This watch is everything I've ever wanted in a watch. It's rugged and it is perfect for everything I use it for. It is comfortable, so comfortable I typically forget I'm wearing it. The alarm option on it is amazing, if you need to wake up from a nap or just not wake your spouse with an alarm use this feature! However, the greatest part is Garmin's customer service. The customer service department was the greatest I've ever worked with. I will recommend Garmin for the rest of my life.

Ive had this watch for a week now and I can't stop fiddling with it. Ive used the sleep monitor as well as the GPS function, pedometer, and the most important one (find my phone) the GPS walk back is very accurate as well as straight line. I actually prefer it my etrax10 as far as navigating from way point to way point.

Smaller than my old Fenix 3, but even with the compactness of the lense size, still user friendly and very easy to see all relevant functiona on watch!

Good watch and comfortale to wear it. The pulse I do not think it works cause I never get over 140 even if I feel I have high pulse. But I am most disaponted in the swimming part. I have tried 3 times to swim in open water, but the distance is nowhere close to right. I swim for 5 minutes and i stops at 39 and then it moves 2-3 meters after 5 more minutes...

I?ve just returned my Instinct after 12 months as the down button had become temperamental. Love the watch & it?s features, but also developed a skin reaction to the strap. Hopefully it won?t flare back up with the replacement.

I like so much how this watch was designed with simplicity but high usability in mind. I like it much better than the fenix series because of its better screen. However, I wish it had several improvements: - garmin pay - simpler, more straightforward STATUS widget as in polar v800 to know when to run again - the small circle is kind of nice but bothers - smaller digits for analog, more customizable watch faces - a little richer ?map? even in B/W screen - shades of gray - i know this is difficult because right now there is no map loaded

I been going for some time without a watch (painful) and been wanting one with blood pressure readings for health reasons (accuracy not an issue if within a variance of -/+3 mmhg). I eventually caved and bought myself a Garmin watch, knowing it had decent reviews and a buddy of mine recommended it. The instinct, as most entry level watches does not include such blood pressure sensor, but the GPS, 24/7 HR reading alone impresses me with the long battery life, and I wanted something rugged that most of the business like watches don't quite meet. The activity/lifestyle tracking in the Garmin app is also quite convenient - although I noticed a hiccup with setting units. In Canada (at least where I am), we use Lbs and Km, but I only see options for statute/UK and metric which don't allow mixing of measurements. The watch itself allowed me to set both though. More face styles would have been nice (I like analog designs and was tempted to get one as such, the digital one included is not that elegant), and I feel like the UI is a little clunky / difficult to use until you play with it a bit. More for me to explore with it as I work towards improving my health and fitness.

I have had my watch a week and did some testing in Northern Ontario's bush. It preformed perfectly way in the back 40 with no cell service for days. The smart watch components work great for me and having the GPS always available on my wrist is a dream come true. Thank-you Garmin for a great product.

Easy and fast to set up. Apps are user friendly and if you have a little experience with a gps the nav is quite simple to use.
