Been using this for cross country and it's perfect. Even being one of the cheapest Garmin watches, it still is great. I like how you can download extra apps from garmin iq.

I like the 55 pace info and the stats. So many notifications to turn off. Wish they were not the default. HATE the daily functional tip that I can't turn off. Wish the auto detect gave better stats and picked up better on activity.

Easy to get started. Long battery life. Exercise set ups are not very intuitive. If I'm in a training plan, I can't record runs outside the plan.

I really like my Forerunner however,,,,, I really miss my fit bit one as even thought it was the first one to come out it would monitor my stairs climbed. I cannot even find one on the wed site. seems strange that other models have this feature but the forerunner 55 does not. Also just got the new update for my home page and I hate it before I knew just where to go to monitor the info I was looning for =, Hate the graphs.

The features are more than what the price asks. It is a great watch for just runners and it isn't too much or too little.

I use this smartwatch while swimming. Its quality and features are fantastic and definitely worth the price. I also use Galaxy Watch 5 Pro. Once it is dead, I plan to buy another Garmin which would be more expensive and have even better quality for everyday use.

I bought it one month ago to replace my Forerunner 15 which no longer communicates with my desktop to capture run/bike workouts. It has a lot more functions making it complicated to use (I recently found out how to do lap times) and much more expensive. Still looking for the recovery feature that my old Timex Ironman had... measuring the drop in heart rate after completing run measured after 30 or 60 seconds. Garmin Connect was freezing, so I uninstalled and reinstalled, was prompted to update and I updated, then prompted to update again, after all that I got to log back in and now (finally) working.

We had purchased our daughter her first Garmin when she was in 6th grade for her cross country club program, and it broke 4 years later. Garmin replaced her watch with a refurbished one for only $99! And now she has a watch exactly like mine :)

I've had this for about a month now and it has exceeded expectations. It does everything I can think of that I would need it for. I'm still learning new things that it can do and getting it dialed in how I like it.

I'm so pleased with this watch. I was quite amazed with all the data it gave me after my first run with it. I plan to use it for hiking in Yosemite later this month as well.

I bought this watch about 3 weeks ago. I have been using it every day to track stress, steps, and my various forms of working out. The GPS and coach app have greatly improved my training.

I am not tech savvy. I've had the 55 for about 2 weeks. Having trouble getting it to download to my phone. Can't be sure it is starting out each walk/run in the right mode. Sometimes it wants to do some workouts I'm not interested in. Today it was in treadmill mode for some reason. My old 45 would show a map of my completed runs - can't find that on the 55.

I bought my forerunner second hand and it is just unbeatable. Charging is merely optional every two to three weeks maybe. I've hit it on several metal surfaces with enough force to accidentally break it and it doesn't have a scratch besides the one that was there when I got it. Honestly makes me scared at what put that scratch there. I work in a manufacturing facility with pots of molten metal around and this thing doesn't complain about the heat. I love it never switching to anything else.

I love my watch. It is very easy to use and has a lot of cool tools you can use as an athlete or not. I got it for running consistently. Tracks sleep well and the GPS works well. You can sink with Strava and it will upload your runs once synced. This watch is great!

I bought this watch to help improve my training and am so happy I did. I previously used an Apple Watch and the features on the forerunner are very helpful. I've found the guided runs are nice when I don't know what run to do for the day. One of my favorite features is the recovery tool. I'd highly recommend this watch to anyone.

The watch is so light weight that you never notice it until you need to. The screen is always visible and never glares. Connects to your iPhone without any problems. Tracks all the things you need. Love it so far.

I got this a week before my first 5k, and even though I only had it for a week... my training improved almost 50% and I ran my fastest time yet at my race. I love that there are so many options for workouts, like running outside, on treadmill, walking, swimming, etc. Its just unbelievable how many stats this watch tracks. The set up was extremely easy, and it was super quick to learn what each button does. I just love this watch, as a beginner to professional running, this watch has been a game changer.

Have been using Forerunner 55 for a little over a month. I track my water aerobics workout and my swimming. I am a senior woman that wanted to track my heart rate, sleep patterns and general health. I am pleased with the ease of using the watch, and the ease of using Garmin Connect. I have just started looking into the user connections. There is so much to learn but so much basic information that is easy to access. The great side light is everything I have used is included in the purchase price. No extra cost for Garmin Connect. There is a learning curve but it is not as steep as I initially thought. For me and my needs it is a winner! No problems with using it in pool water daily.

This was a bit of a learning curve to learn how to use but thankfully YouTube tutorials and the Internet exist. I mostly have this for the body battery feature and hope to use it for running if I return to that in the future.

I bought this watch almost a month ago and I absolutely love it. The price point is great for all of the features it comes with and it works fantastic to keep track of my milage and long runs as a high school distance track runner. I absolutely love the fun teal color and I couldn't be happier with this product. The battery life is great as well!
