I bought this unit over a year ago to replace my 810. I just started using it a month ago. my 810 was acting up and becoming glitchy. My 810 has served me well over the past several years. I will still use it when i go mountain biking. The 830 is an absolute joy to use. All the features work so much better than my 810. Don't get me wrong my old 810 served me well too, but it was past time for me to move on.

I had the Garmin 800, it finally broke. I wished I would have replaced it sooner. The 830 has so many more great features. I'm finding more and I've only had it for 3weeks.

I had mine for about two years now it's a huge step up from my old 800 that I used till the battery died and wouldn't charge anymore. It works great most of the time. Like most Tec when it doesn't it is a problem that causes one just to scratch their head. I used my that set up with North American maps in Europe last year without a hitch. Just purchased the appropriate map set from GARMIN and fallowed the instructions to swap out the maps it all worked like a Charm. Reversed the process when I returned that's all. Problem I've had it stopped letting me load routes once. It was caused by having too many saved routes on the unit just went into history and removed all but a few. No problems since. I go in at the end of the month and clean house now. Widgets offered some good others not so the one linking the bontrager lights is problematic my lights would go off in the middle of a ride and it try to connect me to other riders lights or radar's I just got rid of it and just turn things on with the buttons My latest problem is intermittent. Even while keeping room in the memory it takes 2 to 3 tries to move a route from my GARMIN connect app IPhone 12 to the 830. Get a message the unit is busy this happens even the kitchen counter in my house. I set the route to transfer through GARMIN Connect get the message there it's ready for transfer next time I connect my 830 to the App and get the message my 830 is busy and to try again. This happens with both units just sitting next to each other on my counter. I have removed my 830 from my phone a pair it again and still have the problem. But then all at once it works and all is well

I find that the 830 is great I use a few features and keep learning more all the time. I pair the edge to my light/ radar & heart rate monitor

I actually have a F7 and I bought the rear light radar. I ended up getting the Edge specifically to use with the radar. Works great.

The edge 830 is easy to sync and use to track your riding. The map function I find to be difficult to use even though I have other Garmin products and have been using them for over 20 years. It couldn't recreate a route that went from street to trails and back multiple times, even though I had ridden the route before (was following a friend and recording that time). It was consistently telling me to turn around even when I was on the right path. My buddy was having the same problem with his. So I give it 5 stars for tracking and, surprisingly, one star for navigating.

Bought this after an ELEMNT bolt v2 which I sent back after 3 days as it it didn't do what I wanted. Happy with the 830, yes it has a lot of features I probably won't use but doesn't rely on third party apps for navigation amongst other things.

I bought this calculator two years ago, he is nice to see distance and speed info. For navigation, colors and maps are not good, service in Israel is very bad (two weeks to burn software)

My wife has owned this for a while but never have been able to get synced up properly to rwgps.The support staff was very helpful in walking me through the process and fixing what was an operator error on my part. I'm sure it was frustrating walking a 70 year old through the process, but in the end it was very helpful to us. I didn't remember all the names, but the last gentleman figured it out and it was a relief for me. Thanks to all.

I've been using the Edge 830 coming to a 2 year anniversary. I bought it as a bundle which it came with the Varia radar/light. Edge 830 has an overwhelming amount of features that I feel that I haven't used to its full potential. I'm not going into the details because it will take forever but it has helped to navigate routes, it warms me of upcoming sharp turns, picks up the upcoming climbs and displays the grade and length remaining of the specific climb I am currently on, data fields are customized to your liking, it offer customized workouts that you can do either outdoor or in your smart trainer. An over a good training tool. The only reason I gave it a 4 stars is because it does not display the Strava segments that I've starred and some have but are very random. I feel this is partly a Strava and Garmin connection that directly an Edge 830 issue.

I have had garnin always but suddenly there are issues that according to garmin cannot be fixed. Buy a new one and we will give you 15% disc. This is out of warranty

Going into my third summer with the edge, I still haven't tapped into all that this offer's. I'm a older, not very computer literate, but I've been able to follow the main benefits of the edge.

I got a new bike and decided to also get a the Garmin Edge 830 instead of a speedometer. I didn't realize what I had been missing just using the speedometer and my phone. Now one device does it all and more.

I have had an 820 for some time. In every conceivable way important to a cyclist, from screen size, to improved touch mechanics, etc, this is a superior product. Well worth the money.

I've been looking for a cycle computer for quite some time. After some time researching a few good models I've decided to go with Edge 830. Just as I thought you can't go wrong with a Garmin. Everything I ever wanted in a cycle computer is there and I'm 100% satisfied with it. Awesome product and I would highly recommend this to any cycling enthusiast.

I love the climb pro. I like the off course notification, but I wish it would tell me when I get back on course. Off course banner stays there until next course direction notification. I don't like the blow-up direction on roundabouts as the visual aspect changes. Great battery

I have had this a few months and am still geeking out as I get familiar with more of the features! It's great for tracking my stats, and I love the customizable settings and touchscreen. I really appreciate setting up a separate profile for each of my bikes so I can just pop this on the bike I'm going to ride, pick the profile for that bike, and I'm set to go!

Had a lezyne super gps and uploading maps was a nightmare. Garmin is the easiest I've found to operate quickly.

I bought this to upgrade from my old 520+.It has a lot of new features, loads much faster and love the touch screen. I just wish it was a little bit bigger. The 520 is too small and the 1040 way too big.

I purchased this with a very high end road bike only wanting a basic computer and navigation. I am blown away by all the easy to use features on top of the things I first wanted. Simple to set up and navigate through and linking to the Garmin connect is a breeze. From an old school cyclist you really should embrace this technology

My 10 year old Edge 510 was not syncing correctly. Garmin support suggested it was an antique ( my words). I upgraded to the 830, Amazing! I can read it better and the new touch screen is so easy. Most of all the battery plug in is much better!

I just bought it 2 weeks ago, primarily for a group trip to Tuscany. Would have been nice to know I needed the maps from Europe. Instructions were very basic. Had to orders the shorter extended mount for my Tri bike. Took 2 calls but customer service was great.
