I came to the Pro from the Epix Gen 2 for the added feature of ECG. This watch has the amazing amoled screen and all the features one could want.

I got this just over a month ago. I am still learnng but it paired nicely with my Samsung Galaxy S23. Still learning all the functionality. My husband has an older style Garmin watch and is really jealous of the flashlight that is built in on mine LOL it does come in handy!

I've been using my Epix Sapphire Pro 47mm for a couple of weeks after being an Apple Watch user for 8 years. There are definitely smartwatch features that you give up by switching to the Garmin but if messaging and Siri aren't important for you to have on your wrist then the Garmin is better at everything else. The comfort, style, battery, and health and fitness tracking on my Epix are far superior over the Apple Watch Ultra.

Battery life was a big reason to come back and now I can wear it to track my sleep so a plus there. It charges fast - within 2-3 hours. I missed the tracking of my activities with the mapping and glad to have that back. I do miss being able to see text messages but it wasn't as important. The display is very good so glad to step up to the Epix versus the fenix so guess it was an early gift to myself.

I've been a Garmin user for many years, having had the Forerunner and Fenix versions before the Epix. I feel this watch combines the best of both worlds, offering great performance while being sleek and light.

I've owned my epix pro for a month and have been very pleased with it. It works quite well recording workouts and outdoors. The watch does a very good job of measuring my workouts. And the Garmin Connect app does a very good job of organizing the data. It helps me to stay motivated to keep doing workouts. The watch also does a very good job outdoors. The multi day battery life is dramatically better than my Series 5 Apple watch. I no longer worry about the battery running out when measuring heart rate on a full day hike. The built-in GPS seems to be very accurate. I'm looking forward to taking it on multi day backpack outings and not having to recharge it. I originally purchased the non pro version of the epix Gen 2. On Youtube, a reviewer 'The Quantified Scientist' has posted very extensive test comparisons of heart rate accuracy of watches; Garmin, Apple and others. The non pro epix Gen 2 scored poorly. After seeing those test results, I returned the non pro version and purchased the pro.

I upgraded from my old Fenix 6 pro and I'm more than amazed with the features and great display. It is also very accurate and I couldn't be happier. I made a great decision! :)

I upgraded from a forerunner 955, mainly for the bright screen and the scratch resistant screen (yes, the forerunner had several scratches after a year of daily use). I love the screen and the feature set. I have found the built-in LED flashlight to be incredibly handy to always have on-hand. So, why not 5-stars? The first, and main reason is that I would really appreciate the ability to take phone calls on my watch. Secondly, battery life with always on display isn't quite what I was hoping for, but with the always on display disabled it is good. Finally, and this is common among all Garmins, I would like better on-device music support -- for example YouTube music.

This is my first fitness watch and I could not be happier. I had my eye on a Fenix series watch for some six (6) years. But, Epix came along and threw me for a loop. After hours of research, the consensus was Epix > Fenix. So I went for it and I'm so glad I did. I now have an astounding amount of insight into my workouts and I am super motivated to do and try more activities. Not to mention a snazzy customizable watch face that I can change to match my outfits or outing. It's helped me put my phone down and simply do more. Then I get to geek out looking at all the metrics after doing it. If you're on the fence, or it's your first smart watch, go for it.

Coming from a Forerunner 945, I love the AMOLED display, it's bright and beautiful. I also like the ECG feature, it's what drew me to this model in particular. Battery life is good, maybe about as long as my 945 was getting. I'm currently charging it once in a week and a half, so 10-12 days or so. I know there are things I could do to extend that, but I'm ok with that. The only issue I'm having is it uploading my activities into the Garmin Connect app. Sometimes it takes two or three times of me hitting the sync button for it to upload. I'm not sure if that's the watch or a bug in the app.

I like this watch but it's my fourth one so far. All the others had to be returned because it malfunctioning within 6 months of getting it. Garmin has been great at replacing the watch but multiple high end (ie expensive) new watches shouldn't fail within 6-9 months of use. Biggest issue was the lap button stopped working. My last one had software issues I think. When it works I do like it though?

As a former Fenix 5 Plus & Epix (Gen II) owner, the Epix Pro (Gen II) continues to deliver as the best training tool on the market. The ability to create custom workouts and view metrics on data-rich screens on my swims, bike rides, and runs is invaluable. Connecting sensors and accessories, such as my heart rate monitor, bike computer, etc. is a breeze. The data collected and sent to the Garmin app is the real bread & butter. Being able to review and learn from the analytics derived from a workout has been a key factor in learning, planning, and progressing. Not to mention, the flashlight on this model has become one of my most used features. I wouldn't hit a workout without it.

Wow, i love this watch. Super upgrade from my previous fenix 7. The new touchscreen is a dream. super easy to read in just about any light. easy and intuitive to swipe through. And 16 days with all the monitoring that i desire (as opposed to 6 with my fenix...ok it was getting pretty old). And recharges superfast. take that apple!

Bought it not really knowing all the features I was getting. Once I had it, to idk a few days to get comfortable with all the settings but once you know how to move around and make selections it's been great. Like it so much bought my wife the gold smaller model with a sand colored band. She loves it.

I upgraded to the Epix Pro from the Forerunner 945LTE. The Epix Pro does everything I want it to do better than the Forerunner. I was nervous about the size and weight on my small wrists, but I don't really notice it much compared to the Forerunner I had. The most surprisingly useful feature for me has been the flashlight. I use it all the time, nearly every day. I'm no longer fumbling for my phone, I just use the watch.

I'm an ultra runner and use this daily to track my runs, steps, biking, golf and steps. It's lighter weight than the fenix, and the battery lasts longer. It looks better, easier to use with the touch screen, easier to set up the watch faces. I love it and I'm very happy with the purchase!

I have had the Epix Gen 2 for about a month now. I have owned so many Garmin's starting with the Forerunner 201 (which I still have and it works!) Fenix 5, 6, 7 and I have loved them all but I love the Epix the most!! It gives me great information that is helpful and useful. I love the bright colors on the display for work outs. It has more workouts than any Garmin I have ever owned. I use it to run, walk, and many different gym workouts! Best Garmin ever!!

I was initially not sure whether to get an epix pro 2 sapphire to the Fenix 7 sapphire pro. I think both would be great watches. I generally am one of those people that likes the newest/best of everything. I have heard tons of good things about both watches. This was also my first Garmin watch. I have come from the Apple Watch Ultra 2 which I absolutely love. I have multiple friends that compete in iron mans and they all said man you need a Garmin. Especially for its long long battery life. I liked the idea of the Epix due to the AMOLED screen. I have a oled tv and man it's beautiful. I thought surely this will translate to the epix screen and it did. The screen quality is beautiful and the colors are so vivid. I HIGHLY recommend it. I'm sure I would have loved the Fenix 7 as well. I wanted the better brighter version of the screen which does sacrifice some battery life. When my epic is fulled charged it says I get 16 days of battery life. I absolutely LOVE this thing. I wanted to get the biggest size It think which is a 51 or 52mm I forget. I bought it initially for max battery life and having the bigger watch seems to be the current trend among runners. I decided to swap it for the 47mm I think is? Man this thing is PERFECT for my wrist size. I love it and highly recommend it. This is my first Garmin watch but it will definitely not be my last. Thanks Garmin.

Watch is ok. I had an Apple Watch previously and it was much more user friendly. Still figuring this watch out after a month. I probably should break down and focus on the many features, but never had to do that with the Apple Watch. Also, the original charger didn't work. Garmin did send another, but it wasn't super easy to get it. Ended up purchasing an off market charger first that works way better than the Garmin branded one, Although to be fair, the new charger Garmin sent is functional. For a $900+ watch, I'd pass next time.
