I bought this to remotely recharge my mountain bike (Specialized Turbo). I can get multiple charges going from 25% to 90% in a few hours. Easy to operate. No problems at all.

Camping used to be guaranteed to mean bad sleep, headaches, and snoring to possibly attract Bigfoot. This powered my CPAP for 2 full nights of sleep and still had 10% of its battery left. I'm excited to take some more trips in the pop-up. It aint cheep, but it is worth it.

I have owned my Yeti 500X for 2 years. I have tried several other brands of power stations and each one has some limitations which I have yet to find in the 500x after multiple camping seasons. Most power stations will shut off when they have a low energy draw. I use this for My CPAP machine and when it's running, it would never pull enough to keep the other power stations from turning off forcing me to reset the power station multiple times per night. I have had ZERO issues with the 500x doing this. I can run my CPAP for 2 nights with no problem. The other feature that most do not have is you are not able to charge them while in use. I connect a 100-watt solar panel to the 500x and while it is charging I also use it to charge my phones and tablets. While there is a bit of a cost difference between Goal Zero and other brands, the added cost is worth the features you get. 10000% recommended. I will be adding a Yeti 700 here soon to add power to my overland van build.

I had the old YETI 400 and the bigger ones (I can't remember the number) for many years and finally they were dying (after being in sun, rain, heat, everything). So time to buy a new one. Open Box purchase is a no brainer...I know Goal Zero would give a good one. And wow! This one weighs half of my old one but just as much power! I love it! Yeti's have really improved over so many years. But also goes to show how long they last...I didn't know they've shrunk without compromising on battery life. GREAT! Here's to another 10-15 years!

Bought it to keep my 12 volt fridge running overnight while camping. Did exactly what I wanted, exactly what I expected. Excellent product it appears to be brand new but it's open box.

I bought this for use when the power goes out due to storms or wildfire. But also in case I need to evacuate again, as I have twice in the past few years due to wildfire. Happily, my house was fine both times. But I went to friend's who were without over, so was a most welcome guest as I had two smaller Goal Zero batteries and a portable solar panel, so we could power up our phones and run a small air filter. Having a Yeti 500 means I'll be able to take more storage with me in case of prolonged outages. So, I haven't used either component yet. But it's a comfort knowing I have them in my closet with my "go bag" and other important items.

I just used my Yeti500X for the first time during a week long car camping trip. It stayed charged up just after fulling charging at home and then keeping it charged with the car charging cord and then on site with the solar panel. Mostly used for phone, iPad and heated sleeping pad for a few hours each night. Very pleased with this little power house.

Bought for camping, but am done camping for season. Am running small household items on it and am pleased with its working. Recharges very quickly off household current. Also bought Nomad 100 to solar charge, but won't use that until next year. Excellent value for price.

I purchased this unit to supplement my aging 400X. I noticed it is shorter and a little lighter than my 400X. Looks like a great generator.

I was just telling my husband that since I've been preparing for bad wx and power outages, we haven't lost power. Few days later we had a hail ice storm with nasty winds knocking out power and damaging property. Was great having our new yeti 500x. Thanks again for another wonderful product that keeps us safe.

Haven't used this 500 yeti and 50 panel to replace the 150 tower & 350 that parts were no longer available for due to its age. Paid $750 for the 350 when new over a decade ago, so it was a good sale for us. Haven't used it due to it being a Christmas gift for my wife and myself this Christmas.

When you need a portable solution for a car evacuation or sheltering in place. The Solar panel is not optimal for weight, but it is excellent value. Bought a second panel and a 12 volt cigarette charger and now feel that I am on the way to an affordable excellent emergency portable solution for California weather hazards.. Don't forget the 15' foot 8 mm extension. Not a solution for family home refrigeration but definitely for CPAP users.

I bought this in preparation for a backwoods camp trip. Before I could use it in that capacity, a major storm left me without power more than 4 days. With my yeti, I had my phone, internet, lights and even hot coffee. So glad I have this.

I purchased this for an upcoming camping trip. The shipping was super fast as I arrived in 2 days. Upon receiving it I fully charged the box and then tested it out a few times so I could get the hang of using it prior to the camping trip. Few hiccups at the start as it would trip the circuit. Took it camping with me and worked perfectly. Air mattress no problem. Charging led lantern, portable speakers, and phones were no issue for it. Overall extremely happy with the purchase.

I bought this unit as an "open box sale" and I'm super pleased with the quality and function. I run a guide outfitting biz in Alaska and am often off grid. Powers my Starlink modem for 6+ hours while in the field. The various ports are also perfect for charging camera batteries, InReach devices and more!

I bought this a little over a month ago, needed something for tv/dvd player power in evenings when dry glamping at lake. Works awesome, and saves generator gas and noise in evenings.

I can't say how surprised I was by the quality of the 500 X and it helping me have a good back up power source for my CPAP. The retail price was not in my budget but the open box made it happen. I was surprised that the solar generator looked almost new. Additionally, it was a lot lighter than I thought for that sort of power that I needed. I have many Gold Zero products and you may find other solar generators with better particulars, but no one can out do the quality product and great customer service like Gold Zero.

Versatility is convenient and that is what I get from the Yeti 500X. I owned two and when not using then at my camping adventures they are well use in my home office setting. Easy to use, and light to carry around is a nice addition as backup system or main source of power when in the outdoors. I connect 12V ceiling fans to it when working in my shed to power 4 fans, in my home office as a light source and when recharging my phone or power my laptop and printer, in my car camping outings to power lights, fans, recharging, and even to listen to music for long periods. I recharge then using home outlets or with solar panels. What else I can add, the way to go giving you mobility.

The first one stopped holding a charge, so i replaced the battery and keep it for backup. That yeti was purchased many years ago, and was not a lithium battery. I purchased this new Yeti because it is a lithium battery. However, after making my purchases I saw that the Yeti 500x only has a 500 cycle lifespan. When compared to Yeti's competitors this is 1/2 of the lifespan of other comparable products. So, I am disapointed that i bought into Goal Zero again because, on paper, this Yeti also will not last long vs its competitors w/ 2x the life. other wise, yea, its a nice unit. great features and well built.

I had some hesitation about buying "open box" & when I got it I connected my Boulder Solar Panel to it & it worked without any issues. I checked every 'outlet' and all worked as well. If you're thinking about buying an open box to save some money I would recommend to do it but double/triple check everything out. I've used my Yeti 500 for two weeks straight and didn't have any problems at all. I love all my GoalZero products.

I bought this to be able to camp with my CPAP. I?m so glad I did! I use my dc cord on my CPAP and after 2 nights the battery only dropped 20%! The yeti 500x has by far exceeded my expectations. I don?t have to worry about where I camp anymore. I also don?t worry about power outages either. Thank you Goal Zero for this awesome product.
Portable, easy to use, power in hand.
