FjallRaven Abisko Padded Vest for Men

Wanted a vest I could wear under my rain jacket. I'm 5'9", 160 lbs, 32" waist and athletic build. Originally ordered a medium but it was much too baggy. Exchanged for a small and it fits perfectly over a long sleeve shirt. The small is form fitting and hangs just below the belt. When moving around and going from sitting to standing it does ride up above my belt which is fine as I tuck in my shirts and carry a knife or multi tool on my belt. The vest is warm and comfortable wearing around the house and under other jackets on cold days.

This G-LOFT filled vest is my mid-layer in the winter, and also in my hiking pack during the summer. The synthetic-filling warms almost as good a down, but is much more pack-able. Heckin' useful!

I am not usually a vest guy but this vest has won me over. I run pretty hot normally so I didn't want anything too bulky or heavy and this vest fits the bill. Being on the coast and i work hard I definitely did not want the down fill. The synthetic insulation is super warm and not too heavy, it also handles water great and doesn't lose its warmth when wet.

I recently purchased the Abisko Padded Vest, and I can't say enough about it. Fjallraven is the only brand for me, because of it's stylish European designs, quality and commitment to the ethical treatment of animals and the environment. I would never buy from other makers of outerwear (especially those who use cruel methods of procuring down feathers - which is almost every other brand). Thanks Fjallraven!
