It's way too heavy and will eat up most of your weight allowance for carry-ons with most non-US Airlines! Simplify straps and reduce the overall weight - then it will be the PERFECT bag! Ideally, it should be half the weight!!!

It is a lovely bag with excellent rollers. It weighs too much, fabric is hard, the zipper lid design makes it difficult to pack, and handle does not stay in partial extension :( Eagle Creek is a wonderful company with quality products. It depends on what you need. The new EC luggage is inferior to its old!

Size conforms to carry on. The main compartment zippers bind a bit around corners. Too many exterior tie points that won't be used. Hard to get handle out of the zippered cover. The wheels should be recessed a bit more. It is well constructed, time will tell. Also rather expensive.

Love the brand but, considering the price point, sadly I'm a little disappointed. Pull handle constantly collapses with minimal pressure on handle. Lash buckle plastic seems cheaply made, not sure that's a life time quality made part but at least I can send back the moment it breaks. Hoping Eagle creek isn't looking for all the ways to cheapen their products, like so many other brands

Quality is mostly great. The handle on this tends to unlock itself while you're rolling it. Also, the clips that fit over the zippers don't clip together easily. And when you're in a hurry to open the bag in the airport, it's inconvenient to unclip the clips that are over the zipper. It's rare (for me never) that I have so little packed in a carry on that I would need those clips to strap it down. I did purchase a pair of backpack straps on Amazon to make this a convertible bag. There should be more convertible bags with the backpack straps on the outside, so you can pick it up quickly (when getting on a train or an escalator) then put it back down and roll it again without having to stop and tuck the backpack straps in. Lastly, some women's colors would be great!!

This bag is very well made. Unlike my former Tarmac 2, this bag has no sections. Not even an outside pocket. That makes it fairly inconvenient as a carry on. Not sure if this was a cost saving measure, or just poor design.

Long term fan of Eagle Creek but disappointed in this carry on. Jane 2 of the older carry ones that open in the middle and have a compartment on either side. Why did you get rid of the older model. It was so good.

Great piece of carry on luggage. We have identical pieces and love them. Great quality and construction. Fabric heavy duty. Straps allow easy compression of the clothes inside. Roll easily. A quality piece of luggage would highly recommend them.

Disappointed! The one I received the handle collapses on one side randomly when pressure it put on it, really more of a annoyance, than a functional issue with the bag. Other than that its seems very well built. I guess I expected better from a premium brand.

While this is another quality product from Eagle Creek and I likely will never buy a competitor's luggage, I have to say that I VASTLY prefer my older 22" Tarmac 4 wheeler (which was damaged and needed to be replaced under their fantastic lifetime warranty.) For my extensive monthly travel needs to domestic as well as international destinations, the lack of exterior compartments (except a tiny one) and the lack of the exterior additional bag strap are drawbacks. I also prefer the 1/2 hardshell and 1/2 soft material of my previous Tarmac and the clamshell open system compared to the design of this Gear Warrior XE. I'm told there's a new Tarmac in the works for 2025 but unfortunately I cannot wait that long. As far as space and organization, the interior doesn't seem as large as the stated specs and the inside compression straps seem to be positioned strangely and don't easily contain the larger Pack It bags which I rely on. I honestly would return it as I've yet to travel with it but I don't see a piece that appears superior. Unfortunately if I did return it my credit would also expire prior to the new models being introduced.

Made from high-quality and apparently durable materials however, design is lacking. There is only one small outside pocket on the side of the bag. Older similar Eagle Creek bag had two outside pockets one at the top third and the bottom 2/3. It's not convenient to open the bag to remove frequently needed items. I wouldn't buy this design again.

This is a quality product and a good carry on. I have used it on one multi-destination trip, flying and driving. The compression straps are a nice addition. The "lid" piece overlaps the zipper, which is good. I imagine it could catch on luggage handling mechanisms in an airport , but the point of this is to carry on anyway. The main compartment seems more limited than I expected due to the pull handle storage tubes and the lip of the opening. However, I was able to fit everything I needed for a week long trip (with compression cubes and a backpack). The lip, turns out, can be helpful for stuffing contents in and zipping. This is a solid product, even if I have a few hesitations to saying it's perfect. It is certainly worth a look.

We probably bought our rollaboards in 1990 and have seen 76 countries with them! The wheels are so worn that they are down to the metal. It seems we will have to order the new ones - if they haven't changed in 50 yrs. was considering a new one, but none have the zip off back pack which is the best feature.

My old bag cracked during our return from Patagonia. Eagle creek certainly stands by their warranty so I was given credit for replacement. I made a mistake and replaced my damaged check-in size luggage with a carry-on. However my new carry- on bag was terrific. Sturdy and simple, I will be buying a larger bag in the next few months and it will be an EagleCreek. Bruce

This bag is sold, but expensive. Classic roll from Eagle Creek. Eliminated the soft top issue previous bag had. Very sturdy bag. Zipper needs work. A good bag!

I've been using an Eagle Creek suitcase for the last 30+ years and one of the wheels finally broke. This new one is very sturdy, the 4 wheels are heavy duty and move great across uneven surfaces. I wish there was an external pocket on the front flap and sometimes the handle catches when extending it. Looking forward to using this for another 30 years of travel!

Just want to note that Eagle Creek are of incredible value and practically a for life purchase. Was shopping for a carry on, but just could not afford at the moment. Mine is 30+ years old and has been all over the world to include jungles in South America, Iraq, Afghanistan under the harshest conditions when I was in the military. Decided to take apart, fixed the frame and some straps since I do upholstery and have industrial sewing machines. I also had a 20+ yr EG Duffle with a broken wheel and was sent a new wheel set and she is back im service. EG durability and quality is top notch and of the highest value. Attached are before and after refurbishment process-good for another 10 yrs if I last that long?:)
