Dometic 11L Hydration Water Jug Glacier

I primarily have used Sceptre 10L water jugs for years and they are durabke and can take a severe beating as they are mil-spec rated. However, the form factor of the Dometic Hydration jugs was appealing. The common hydration quick release was an added fearure I have found useful.

This review is based on only having the product for a couple of weeks and using it on one camping trip. We bought it due to the shape/size. It fits in our campervan well. We bought 2 jugs + 1 faucet to last us through a weekend of camping. The jug did tip over while driving on windy roads and did leak some out of the bigger "cap's" spout . It is easy to clean (I can fit my hand/arm down into it). It was easy to fill. We have a filtered water tap at our kitchen sink and this jug fits nicely in the corner of the sink to fill it up (we previously had a round jug that I had to hold at an angle the entire time I was filling it). The price is kinda ridiculous and I originally was hoping for a translucent container (ya know to see random floaters just in case). The faucet worked well from a Thursday-Sunday trip on one charge. Although, you have to double tap it to get it to run the water, my husband still managed to get it to run unintentionally. We unhooked the hose while traveling to be on the safe side but it can still get bumped when stationary. Not happy about the price but we are glad to have a product that FITS our space and volume needs and now we don't have to buy another one.

I own three. Easy to fill. Easy to carry. Great form factor for my Subaru Outback. However the cap/pour spout cracked after less than a year of use on my original purchase. I also own the faucet so i stopped using the manual spout. It would be nice to have it as a back up and for quick fills but totally unreliable.

I do a lot of car camping. I have been buying bottled water for years and decided to change to a bulk water system. After shopping around, I decided on the Dometic 11L hydration (water) jug (jerry can). I wanted something that would last a lifetime and then some, and the Dometic fits that criteria. I treated myself to the water faucet which makes getting a drink of water in the middle of the night an absolute DELIGHT! Tough durable equipment I can pass down to my kids.

Took this camping with us and it was perfect. The size makes it easy to store and carrying it was easy. I liked that the strap handle does not take up a lot of room. We use one for drinking water and one as our rinse station

Love this jug, especially in combination with the faucet. However, it would really benefit from a strip of clear plastic to let you monitor how much water is left without having to look inside or pick it up. The straps should also be redesigned so that they more easily stay out of the way of the faucet flow.

I have been dry camping since being a young lad. I always remember the old blue water jugs my dad had and used. I also remember how many times they broke, dented, lost caps or spouts, tipped over due to size, and so forth. I followed that path till last year and spent my hard earned money on 4 of these water jugs. After using them in Wyoming, Washington, and Oregon, these are the best quality and designed water jugs ever. These will never dent or break unless you back over it with your car or throw it from a bridge! It's far better to have a jug that is portable and easily handled than a jug that is huge and awkwardly shaped. These bottles are not cheap, but I expect they will outlast my wife and I and will be handed down to my nephews at some point. 5 stars on this creation Dometic!

This water jug works fantastic with the faucet. So easy to use. I liked it so much I purchased a second jug. Meets all my needs while I am camping of grid in a remote cabin as well as when I am camping in my 26 foot travel trailer. Perfect for carrying drinking water for my wife, myself and the two dogs. 1st Photo shows it in-use in the centre of the picture, in the off grid cabin. 2nd Photo shows the Faucet and the Dometic CFX3 electric cooler. I've had this container for a couple months now, so far I'm very happy with it. I live in the north central portion of the US and this time of year it's unreasonable cold. We use it for camping only and it's been great, we use to use an old military water jug but the shape and size of this has been much more beneficial. I also appreciate how low profile the top of the container is. When we camp in the cold I always flip it on its top when we aren't using it. I do this (similarly to canteens in the military) because the water doesn't freeze at the top where I need it to come out then. It's worked exceptionally well and if it ever breaks we will definitely be getting another.

I recently bought this jug and faucet and have been very pleased with its function and use. The only thing I'm having a problem with is disconnecting the faucet line from the jug. I don't want to force the removal fearing that I'll damage the line or the connection. I haven't found any information with the packaging or online. Any help would be appreciated. Also, I'd give this product 5 stars if I had a solution to my question.

Everything about this jug seems well thought out. The large opening and shape made cleaning and drying easy. The spigot in the corner was genius. This thing seems invincible and leak proof. The handles make it easy to refill. It's just gorgeous, practical and well designed. Great job Dometic!

I love this water jug for camping trips and day trips. It's perfect to pour water out into a bowl for our dog and to fill a water bottle easily and quickly. Can't wait to buy the faucet soon.

Simple in its premise. A 11L jug to carry water. But leave it to Dometic to really think through everything: appreciate the wide opening to clean the inside, the variety of methods to get the water out (Works exceptionally well with the Dometic camp faucet), but also great for just pour water out easily or hooking up another way. Also appreciate it came with a spigot at no extra cost. Highly recommended. Durable, Easy to Carry and Stowable inside or out.
