Despite the name, these are
Despite the name, these are a bit too lightweight for steep, muddy uneven trails. Wet clay soil sticks like glue to the Vibram soles and I found it easy to turn an ankle on sloping terrain. They are comfortable but probably best on flat sandy surfaces like a wet beach.

I have short (8) and
I have short (8) and wide feet. These shoes offer plenty of toe and width room and are quite comfortable. I even golf in them. They are a bit chilly for winter wear.

More comfortable than some of
More comfortable than some of my Mizuno?s & ON?s but much more diverse. Very low profile, minimal offset, sufficient tread for off road, trails or the dog park. Extremely lightweight without sacrificing comfort. Great product. Will also be getting in another colour.

The shoes are wonderful they
The shoes are wonderful they have great grip on both dry dusty trails and really wet muddy ones. I bought these shoes for my honeymoon in Kauai and it was a great decision they are extremely comfortable and supportive I?ve had two knee surgeries on one knee and I haven?t been sore once. The only thing I would recommend is if your foot is wide even slightly get a wide size or a different shoe the elastic bands that help keep the young of the shoe down and secure also hold the insole of your foot a slight amount on the right side but other than that great shoes 10/10 would buy again.

This shoe doesn?t seem to meet the quality standards I?ve come to expect from Danner. They do, however, have one thing I?ve come to expect, they run small and narrow. The big fault for me was a small piece that runs vertical from the sole near the big toe joint up to the laces. That made the shoe so uncomfortable I couldn?t wear it even for the short time I did trying it on for fit.
I returned the shoes the same day as I knew they would kill my feet. This style, like too many others, don?t come in a wide. I don?t understand why Danner does not make all their styles in wides because if they did I would have several more pairs.

Great looking and feel just
Great looking and feel just as good!!! I usually wear a 10 1/2 and that's what i ordered. They were just a little tighter that what i was comfortable trying to ?break in?. No hassle with Danner on return and ordered an 11. These felt perfect right out if the box.

Quality and comfort were superb. But my right big toe was tickling the toe box, so I returned them to avoid a black toe in the upcoming marathon I had planned for these shoes.

Fits well, looks great. One shoe has excess elastic on the side that is supposed to hold the tongue in place, bunches up under my foot and makes it slightly uncomfortable.

Nice and light, but the footbed is incredibly thin (both in width and thickness) and has no arch support. The elastic foot binders make my feet hurt after a while. Strong chemical smell that required two rounds in the washing machine.

Usually my "hikers" are comfortable hiking out but on the way back they get tight and hurt in the toe area.
The Trailcomber 3 are extremely comfortable all day long and provide great footing on the ground. I am very happy with their fit and performance. PR

Very light weight shoes. You feel as though you aren't wear any because they are so comfortable. I walk on an asphalt trail everyday 3 to 5 miles so I am hoping the soles of these shoes will wear well. Looks good so far. I gave them a 4 because for the first mile my heels slide up and down. I prefer Danner shoes and boots above all others I've tried because the quality is always dependable!

Excellent shoe. Exactly as advertised. Super light weight with mesh fabric that is superior in keeping feet cool. And this mesh doesn?t over stretch for sloppy support like a previous discontinued model. This is my 3rd pair based on the 2650 last and the absolute best for when the temperature is 90+.

Have been wearing the shoes

I own several pairs of
I own several pairs of Danner hiking and work boots. The quality of build is fantastic. The size is spot on for my size 10 foot and I love the roomy toe box. My rating would be five stars IF they had a removal foot bed. I cannot understand the glued foot bed with the size sticker smack dab in the middle of the heel. It makes no sense. The cushioning is very comfortable for long hikes. I have a very high instep and have no problem with the elastic which connects the tongue. I find it very comfortable and secure. These can be worn without socks if that is your jive.
