I live downtown and walk
I live downtown and walk a lot to most of the places i go on the weekends. I was looking for a shoe that was comfortable and water proof but not too utilitarian looking. The free spirits were a perfect combination of those things. The fit was true to size as advertised. and the tread is perfect for urban environments and would probably also do well on light trails. Overall I'm very satisfied.

I have high arches and
I have high arches and the Free Spirit is very comfortable without any extra insert. Have only taken the boots hiking a couple times so far, but they seem appropriately durable. Water resistant as advertised.

Loving my new free spirit
Loving my new free spirit boots. I've made the switch to Danner boots for my daily work boots. Although they are not classified as work boots they fit my needs. I work in the ag industry, in a manufacturing plant. At any point in the day, I can be walking the plant facilities, in the sales showroom, or the fields. Danner free spirits are light and durable and easily handle 10-14 hour days of work.

I love everything about these
I love everything about these shoes. The fit is great, they are dressy enough to go out on the town. Great color. My feet are comfortable and breath.

Comfort right out of the box. As most Danners go I size up a 1/2 size (11.5) but these are a perfect fit at 11.

Dang Good Boot!
This newly updated version of the Free Spirit is so solid! I have a wider foot and this boot is quite comfortable, no issues whatsoever with any type of sizing restraints... a perfect fit. Construction is lightweight as well as durable for moderate terrain. And, such an aesthetically pleasing boot to look at! Grab 'em before the are all sold out!
