Beware of the Velcro adjustment strap

Excellent quality that you expect from Columbia. Unfortunately the Velcro adjustment strap will irritate the heck out of your scalp. The scratchy hook side faces toward your scalp instead away from it. Anything beyond a zero adjustment of the strap exposes the hooks that mercilessly jam into your head. Nothing can be done to fix it. It's simply wrong. I cannot wear this hat and I do not recommend it to anyone unless you enjoy pain. I've emailed Columbia customer service. One week later and no reply from a real person. I will make a phone call next.
