Shopper : what is the speaker size?Steve L : We aren't seeing any info on the speaker size. According to their manual it says the driver is 1 3/4 inches. And the dimensions of each unit is 2.72" x 3.11" x 8.35"

These will do on the fly

I got these because the price was right. The sound is decent although in open space they lack bass response. I hang them on my recumbant trike while I tour the US of A. They appear to be built well enough and take thumbdrives and SD cards rechargeable and can go about 6hrs on a charge. They don't sound as good as my tribut but, two Bluetooth speakers for 1/2 the cost not a bad deal at all

The Boss Bolt Blue Tooth System is an excellent product with clear audio. I set up the units at a local club for a jam session, and my friends were impressed with the sound quality. They all wanted to purchase their own after hearing it. I used the system to play songs I produced in my studio. The units link in stereo easily, and the phone connection is simple. While they may not have a lot of bass, they offer clarity and even EQ within their frequency range. The stereo field is excellent depending on placement, ideal for about 200 square ft. and sound best on a table surface about 2-3 ft. apart.

Audio Streaming
Audio streaming (A2DP) is an audio protocol of Bluetooth technology. This profile allows for audio to be streamed wirelessly from your compatible device, such as a Smartphone, to the source unit so you can enjoy your favorite music or streaming music service such as Pandora or Spotify, wirelessly.

Aux Input
The Aux Input allows you to connect to the audio output of an external device such as an MP3 Player or Smartphone so you can enjoy your music through your system.

Bluetooth
Allows Bluetooth equipped source units to make wireless hands-free calls when paired with a Bluetooth equipped Smartphone. Communicate via the built in microphone on most of Boss Audio's units (or external microphone if provided) and listen thru your car's speakers.

Fully Marinized is the term Boss Audio use for their Marine and Outdoor products that are Weather Proof. They integrate high-tech, state-of-the-art waterproofing materials plus special UV coatings for plastic surfaces, coated circuit boards and connections to protect the product against the harsh outdoor elements and resist corrosion.

IPX Rating
IPX is a rating standard indicating a product's level of protection against water. It ranges from no protection (IPX0) to water splashing against the enclosure (IPX4) to complete immersion in water (IPX8) and close-range, continuous high pressure, high temperature spray downs (IPX9K). The products Boss Audio tests and rate have been designed with activities of the user in mind.

SD Memory Card Port
The SD Memory Card port will support a full size SD memory card to 32 GB and can be used for music playback as well as photo and video viewing (on source units equipped with a monitor). Most units support full size SD cards but there are a few that only accept micro SD cards.
