Bought two sets of hiking poles, one for my mom and one for my dad, as Christmas gifts. They are in their 70s and started hiking recreationally last year. At first, they thought hiking poles were for ?old people,? but I assured them that plenty of people?including their daughter (me)?find them helpful. They gave them a try and appreciated the extra stability on rocky/icy terrain as well as the added support when climbing up and down inclined trails. These particular poles are lightweight, portable, easy to adjust, and comfortable to use. They turned out to be a great gift idea!

I’ve had these poles for several weeks and have used them for back packing and day hikes in the Idaho mountains. Find them to be relatively light weight and very sturdy. The aluminum construction is not as light as carbon fiber for this price point, but the strength and rigidity of the aluminum is worth the difference in weight. The length adjustment is easily done on the go, and the locking mechanism holds fast. The hand grips are very comfortable and well constructed. The poles offer solid value for the money.
