It's like someone copy and pasted gearloops from a child's harness onto this thing! Overall this is a bomber, lightweight, and surprisingly comfortable harness, but it only excels at single pitch sport for the most part. Besides that I love it and just have a second harness for when I need to load up on trad gear.

It's light, it does the job and is comfortable. What else do you want? This is my second solution harness and I'd buy another.

I originally bought this harness as a low cost crag workhorse to spare my more expensive harness' but have been very impressed by its performance and comfort. It is now my most used harness and is the perfect fit for my 31" waist. I do wish they had opted for larger gear loops.

Used this harness for the last 2 weeks. The leg loops are wider than other harnesses I’ve owned but got use to them after my first outing. Overall it’s comfy and supports my back at hanging belays. Packs away easy.

This harness is great! Super lightweight and very comfortable. I have no problem hanging in it while working out those hard moves on a route. Takes whipers like a champ.

It is light enough to sport climb in, but when it's time to rack up, it can easily hold a double rack.

Great harness, but they made the gear-loops a little smaller. Wish they were the same size as the old solution.

I "upgraded" from the Momentum to the Solution - and I love it. The Solution is extremely lightweight, folds up tiny and is extremely comfortable.

During these cold, wet days I've been using this as my gym harness. All I could ask for and then some!

I took it to natural rock and it worked great. It is very comfortable, aesthetic, functional ... I love it!

As a beginning climber this was my first harness and it has performed perfectly. The fit of the size medium is spot=on for my 32" waist. This harness will work for me for the foreseeable future.

I use this harness for sport/fitness climbing and Mountain Rescue work (general rigging and occaisonal winter/glacier travel. As implied by the product description and other reviews, this is a sport harness so ice work is sometimes a bit of a stretch (it does not have clipper spots, for example). But it'll do the job in a pinch. My main criterion for a harness was hiking and hanging comfort, and this guy delivers in spades. In retrospect I might have been better off with the Solution Guide because of the extra gear space, but hey... live and learn.

Got this a little while ago and I’ve been using it a lot at the gym, it has a great feel to it and has good enough flexibility in the leg loops to not get uncomfortable if you are wearing the harness all day

I’ve been using this harness for about a month. I have big thighs from mountain climbing and was having s hard time finding a comfortable harness, this harness fits perfect.

The weight and feel of this harness is fantastic. I am 5'9' 150lbs and ordered a medium and have not had any issues with the sizing. The waist band is super comfy, I feel that the leg loops taper down in width too quickly on the inside of the thigh which can cause some pinching into the leg but only every now and then. I wished the loop in the back was designed differently to more easily accommodate a chalk bag but this is not a deal breaker for me.

I used to have a few different harnesses for a variety of needs, but this harness has replaced all of them. Perfect for hard sport, traditional, alpine, and even gym climbing. Comfortable, durable, and simple, but effective design.

I'm switching from my gyms super uncomfortable generic harnesses. These make falls so much more comfy, the legs don't ride up or become uncomfortable. It's super simple to put on and take off simply. I will not review the gear holds as I don't lead climb yet

This is the best harness that I've ever used. Perfect for single-pitch sport climbing, and just as comfortable as the Big Gun harness on all-day multipitch with hanging belays. My one wish is that it had a haul loop

I have been using this harness for a season now. It fit perfectly to the sizing chart. The good: - waist is really comfy day in and day out. New fabric on the inside chafes a lot less than my previous harnesses. - semi rigid gear loops make for a really easy clipping and clipping. The bad: - The back loop is similar to a very thin belt loop with a 0N rating. It's incredibly hard to clip any gear into and this is easily one of the most useful loops for a personal anchor or Purcell. I would really like to see a looser loop that is easy to clip gear onto. - Leg loop material is a little too thin and tends to cut in if you're hanging for any extended periods.

This is overall a pretty good harness, it is comfortable, lightweight, the color is fun, the only problem is the terrible gear loops. Obviously this is a sport climbing harness, so I'm not expecting it to have huge gear loops, but even so, the loops feel quite small even for sport climbing. The big issue with them is that they are just hard to get gear on and off of. Because the gear loops hang down below the waist belt of the harness and because your body naturally gets wider below your waist, the gear loops end up being very close to your body making them hard to use. The loops do flare outward a bit to try and help with this, but it just isn't enough. Unfortunately, gear loops are an area where most harnesses can improve (not just BD. I guess I am still looking for the perfect harness.

This has been a great harness so far. It fits well, is comfortable, and I could wear it a while for all day excursions. I appreciate its simplicity and I like having only one buckle too. I haven't had a BD harness in a while so I'm excited to be back!

I have had a LOT of BD harnesses over the years and this is my favorite one ever! It fits great (same reliable sizing), it is streamlined and not bulky, lightweight and nice for hot summer temps.

I'm really happy with my Solution. It's surprisingly comfy to hang in, and was clearly built to last. My only complaint is that the gear loop in the back resembles a belt loop on jeans--only thinner. This makes for difficult clipping of biners--especially those that aren't snag-free. I'll just sew a loop of webbing onto mine and go on with my life. I bought a medium and found that the leg loops were a bit snug initially, but they've broken-in nicely. I don't think I have particularly big thighs, so cyclists and alpine touring types may want to size this before purchasing. If you're a sport climber from head to toe, this will probably be an ideal harness.

I bought this harness about a month ago to replace a Momentum I had been using for a while, and the Solution was perfect. It is so simple, and super cozy to wear an entire day of sport climbing. If you are looking for simple and comfortable, I would recommend this harness.

This is a great harness...esp at that price. I find it similar to my old non-adjustable Arcteryx. Very comfy and light. Haven't tried a hanging belay in it yet but hangdogging and belaying people that are hangdogging was fairly comfy. The sizing did seem a bit off on the waist to leg loop ratio...I found the Medium to be fairly snug for my 33" waist and the leg loops could have been a bit tighter (but I have fairly skinny thighs) I love the blue color but I wish they had made the belay loop a bright, contrasting color like red.

Background: 5'9" 175lbs Main Use: Canyoneering I purchased the medium. Maybe could have gone with the large, but I was too stoked to try it out so I stuck with the medium. Pros: Extremely light and minimalistic. Super awesome not to adjust the leg restraints and I have some nice legs and booty to work with. Doesn't rub awkwardly as I trudge along the canyon and squeeze through slots nor is it a problem when I want to hang from big rappels and admire the scenery. The outside of the harness is durable and handled me rubbing up against the rock. Easy to work with the gear loops. Cons: When you're fingers are worn out or not, getting the harness off is a pain. I have to suck in my gut, wiggle around a little to loosen up the buckle. Overall: Solid purchase and I would recommend going for it (if you are sitting on the fence, I hope this pushed you over). I have taken it to the gym and enjoyed it there as well. You really can't go wrong with the Solution.

Best Black Diamond harness yet.

I've owned the Xenos and the Ozone and the Solution blows them away. I reminds me of the dead bird harnesses without the inflated pricing. I've used it for sport and trad with no complaints. Once you have it on you forget it's there. I've got a 31" waist and (relatively) big thighs and the fit is great. In the past I've always been between a small and a medium size due to the leg loops. BD should have made this harness years ago!
Great harness (make the gear-loops bigger)

Great harness, but they made the gear-loops a little smaller. Wish they were the same size as the old solution.
