I was looking for a new pair of trekking poles because of an upcoming hike. Many of the gear review sites recommend these poles so I tried them out. I love them! They are extremely easy to adjust and the best part is the little screw driver bit in the end of the bottom pole section. Many times while hiking with other poles the quick adjust will loosen over time and you have no way of fixing the looseness in the woods. With these poles, no problem. This is my third set of Black Diamond trekking poles (I've been hiking/backpacking for many years - this set replaced a set ruined by a porcupine!), and I can't imagine any other brand. They're strong, durable, and lightweight, and the optional Rubber Tech Tips and Tip Protectors make them extremely versatile. The price also is very reasonable.
