I bought my Biolite Camp Stove 2 when they came out. I am unsure when that was, but I've used it for years. It is fantastic to pack on your motorcycle and go. I threw it in a bag, flew to Hawaii, and slept on the beaches there. It is not heavy. The coffee pot is a great place to store the whole kit. It is durable, and I guess it'll last my entire lifetime. I might even be able to pass it on to my kids. I've never had an issue with the battery, which I assumed would fail after 3 to 5 years, but it is going strong. I can't recommend the stove more. When I'm camping (like in Hawaii), I usually buy a package of hardwood smoking chips if I know that I'm not allowed to gather firewood, which is the case in most state and national parks. They work great. My stove is a faithful companion and has traveled thousands of miles, making me coffee? and breakfast ?? in almost every state. I haven't been to Alaska yet, but that might be in the plan. Also, I didn't mention the one time I complained about an accessory Biolite that has Biolite has fantastic customer service. They did a great job of trying to solve my problem. They replaced the item, no questions asked. I have because it's such a great company. I have purchased all the accessories and the large camping fireplace stove, too. I only wish the big stove had the same technology for the battery, but it never seems to need charging but once a year anyways.Thank you for inventing great camping tools.

With the KettlePot it's heavy for backpacking but still viable. Slightly frustrating at first but once I found the right wood and learned the quirks I found cooking with it rather fun. Not very compatible with a strict schedule.

Was gifted to my son for his small camper van. He couldn't wait to experiment. It's much better and safer than an open fire pit. He boiled water for noodles, boiled eggs and pan fried steaks on the first use. He was delighted.

This unit is very easy to use, it gives off amazing heat, works well with small pieces of sticks haven't tried it with wood pellets yet, popsicle sticks work well also

I have an original CampStove, and even though it's rather heavy for a backpacking stove, I like it a lot. I think the improvements are good, but still having Micro USB for your charging port in 2025 is very disappointing. USB-C is where everyone else has moved, including Apple... and if Apple beats you to accepting and moving to an industry accepted standard, then you are really behind! And that's coming from an Apple fan. If you still have a bunch of stock you had built in 2023, then run a sale, clear it out, and have a new version built with USB-C and whatever other upgrades you've been contemplating. USB-C is where everyone else has moved, including Apple... and if Apple beats you to accepting and moving to an industry accepted standard, then you are really behind! And that's coming from an Apple fan.

I like the product functionality, but would not buy it again for one reason: Airlines in Europe will not allow you to take the product without a battery safety data sheet and Biolite will not provide you with the necessary information. So if you want to go camping in foreign countries where you have to arrive by plane, the product cannot be taken and is therefore useless.

I purchased this as a backup system to heat water and cook with maybe charge a phone. I have pulled it out 3-4 time per year to fire it up and make sure it works. I tried this year and the battery is flat as a pancake and is not charging via USB. I picked up a new battery thinking that was the issue but that one is not working either. I suspect the charging circuit is failing. I would love to buy a new CS2 v9 or later board to get it working again but no parts are around.

Firstly this thing is durable, ive given it a beating, caught it on fire, overheated it a couple times (dont recommend) but its still kicking and functions exactly the same. The only real downsides to this device is 1. It doesnt charge quite as fast as i would like given most devices have 4k mah batteries now, which is around double what the capacity was for phones when this stove was originally released. And 2 its slightly on the heavy side for backpacking. I would like to if anything, see a larger version working on the same principles for homesteading.

I had an issue with shipping which they resolved professionally, the biolite stove is made of quality parts and burns very well and hot above it but not too hot around the legs. It cools off very quickly which is helpful for packing it away. I'm looking at the grill which configures to this stove only, it's not easy to find the exact dimensions for a grill over this. All in all, a solid product that works. Thank you!

On a recent motorcycle dirt road trip I decided to take my new bio lite camp stove and grill. I have had the V1 since 2016. I was hesitant as I was trying to save weight on my bike, KTM 690 Enduro R. We were in campgrounds and stealth camping for 7 days. Every meal, breakfast and late dinner, I used the camp stove and grill. It was a total hit with my two riding buddies as we had that great grilled flavor in our brats, steaks, tuna, spam. Such an awesome tool! As long as you have a fuel source your meal will be the best possible out in the wild! I do recommend Diamond "Stiike A Fire" starter sticks. It eliminates the initial fire start hassle!

I've had this little guy for about 5 years, really couldn't be happier. It gets nice and hot fast, am I use the grill top to make some great small BBQs. I actually started using it at home, instead of taking the time and coal for my Big Green Egg to heat up, when I want to make some sausages, burgers or stuff like that. The flavor is great, and you just need to make sure you rotate your food around frequently. Camping is fantastic also, of course.

I buyed the CS2+ complete kit. If you are not a lightwave freak, and you did not to carry it for a long time, it is very useful. Deterred by the high price finally got it, and it works as by the manufacturer described. After ten time use, I did not yet reload the power supply. It is reloaded by heat and use - but I did not used it simultaneously as powersuply for other devices, but this works too. There are cheaper ways to heat up and to make coffee, but if you are not into lightweight and don't matter to carry the device, it is absolutely recommended. The quality and processing is very well. It is perfect for a basecamp for cooking or as a small campfire. I had some problems with the grill - grime/smut on the sausages, but I am working on that issue. The frenchpress is perfect!

I heard about BioLite while I was a Scout Master in 2012 from a fellow Scouter. I purchased one for myself after hearing about his success. I have used it over and again. The first ones were not as powerful as the newer ones, but I still enjoy taking it in the backcountry and not having to worry about fuel. It does take time to start when the weather is damp or in the snow, but once going, it does well. I raced my Scouts to boil a liter of water against their Jetboil. The Jetboil was faster by a minute, but it used a lot of fuel. I did make a shield to guard the power unit during high winds. That would be the only drawback I have with the CampStove.

Got this ~7 yrs ago and have used it camping /backpacking many many times, allowed us to charge phones (which =cameras, to document all the fun) plus have coffee and warm food even in places with minimal kindling/fire starting material. Still works exactly as it did when I first got it.

I got this for Christmas, and promptly went on a 10 day backpacking trip. As a Type 1 Diabetic with a rechargeable insulin pump, a power source is always a concern. Now I no longer have to feel restricted or panicked about taking extended trips! It charged my pump from 15% to 95% in about an hour. I just had to keep the fire burning hot! Thank you so much BioLite, you literally just opened up the world to me!

My wife I are raising 5 brothers who were in foster care for years and were about to be split up for adoption.
