This sleeping bag is the perfect combination of a roomy mummy and a cozy quilt bag. We wanted something spacious but adaptable for colder nights, and this one does it all. Best purchase ever!

I have used this backpacking and bike touring in the Alps, Baja Beach kayak touring... Absolutely love the design. The bag is noticeably roomier when unzipped. When you get cold you can customize by zipping it up and it becomes a noticeably warmer bag. It is accurately, not conservatively rated. Some criticism-Needs more fluff in the foot box for my cold feet. When held up to the light there are some see-through spots poor distribution of insulation (?) I was introduced to Big Agnes bags by a lost ranger 20 on the pct Now I have new favorite bag.

I was not sure about the expandable panels but it works great. Lots of extra room for sleeping on your side and stomach. Super happy with this bag!

I've used this at Cirque of The Towers with 20-degree temps, Shenandoah backcountry, and the MD AT trail and it was phenomenal! I love how there are so many options for space, and how light and fluffy it feels! The fit for me is perfect (5'9") so there is hardly any room in the footbox. The zipper snags just a tad, but hardly an annoyance. Very satisfied with this product.

I'm a cold sleeper and I've been carrying a 0 degree bag for 25 years. However, I am now backpacking with my young child and needing to carry gear for two, which is forcing me to make some adjustments and get some more minimalist-style gear for myself. I was worried I would be cold overnight (backpacking in the Cascade Mountains in the Pacific Northwest) but the bag was super cozy and comfortable and, if the night got much colder, I'm sure I'd be comfortable as long as I wore my down puffy inside. As it was, in the summer, even as a cold-sleeper, I was comfortable with no extra layers. The bag is roomy enough and I appreciate the option to zip it snugger (though I didn't need that option) for added warmth. It is very fluffy and cozy to crawl into.

This is a very lightweight, compatible bag. That's why I bought it. But it's a tight fit. If you have it fully zipped this thing can get claustrophobic. I have to use this expanded which believe makes it a little less warm. But overall a good bag

Love this gear for my forest therapy treks into the Weminuche Wilderness Rocky Mountains. Only suggestion I would make is having the bathtub floor and inch or two deeper to prevent splash in during heavy rains.

I bought this for an upcoming bikepacking trip in Europe. I haven't had a chance to use it yet, but climbing inside of it in my living room I found it to be a perfect fit (6'0 175lbs) . I like the extra foot room for storing extras I need/want to keep warm overnight. I wish I could say more, but I won't know until I use it properly. Regardless, I feel like I've made the right choice.

I'm a side/back/starfish sleeper and one who has never done terribly well in a standard tapered mummy bag but this bag is great! The ability to customize the shape is well worth it.

The Torchlight UL 20 is the best sleeping bag I've had in nearly 50 years of camping, backpacking, and mountaineering. It is light weight, warm, compactable, and hands down the most comfortable sleeping bag I've ever owned or used. I have used this bag in a range of conditions over three seasons. The zippers not only enable you to dial in space the way you like it, they also let you adjust for warmer or cooler conditions. The only "flaw" of this bag is that my wife likes it so much she wants to use it all the time. Guess I ought to get her one too!

I am usually impressed with Big Agnes' ability to put an interesting and innovative twist on an existing product. This one is a winner. I'm not concerned with stretching out my upper half and so I leave that portion zipped up but I love the fact that I can unzip the bottom half and spread the legs a bit. I've read reviews that say that the bag warmth is the same whether expanded or not expanded. On nights when I've felt the warmth limit being reached, I've zipped up, and it has made a difference. The bag packs down well and the 2lb 3oz weight makes it a very reasonable piece of equipment considering the benefits. After purchasing this bag, I find that it's my go to for nearly every 3 season situation. I've recommended the bag to several friends. The ones who have purchased it love it.. Thanks for inventing things that make life on the trail even more amazing!

So far it's great. Lightweight & WARM, albeit I've only got 2 nights in it & I've yet to take it out in actual cold weather. Zipper snags. I move around a LOT & REALLY wish BA would consider making this bag with a double (left hand & right hand) zipper to give users an option since this bag is only made with a left hand for men. I bet this one feature alone would make the Torchlight BA's best selling bag (I'd pay an extra $30 for this feature).

Ok, I just got to use my Torchlight UL 20 for the first time this past week. This review isn't totally thorough as I was using it in near perfect weather so I can't say it has faced a lot of challenges yet, but, that said, I loved it! It is the first new bag I have bought in 26 years, so it's competition isn't really intense, but it felt luxurious. Light, spacious, loved the zipper systems. Right now, this would be 5 out of 5 except for the color! Lolz, I know it may seem trivial, but light grey inside and on most of the outside for backpacking gear...? I don't see that aging well, but I knew what I was getting into and am attempting to accept it with grace. I truly am looking forward to my next chance to sleep in this bag!

Too warm for temps above mid-50s, but that's to be expected. Soft, lightweight, packs down small. Zippers and expandable sections allow for an almost-custom fit.
