Great chair, appreciate the taller seat height Sturdy construction Good back support Can feel back supports after 15 minutes of sitting It's weighs a little more then some other chairs, I feel you gain a lot of comfort for a bit more weight.

Bought this for my daughter. I have to admit that this chair is much more comfortable than any of the other chairs that I tried in these backpack type chairs. It is so light and folds up so small that it is really unbelievable how well the chair sits. They say that the slight bend in the back legs prevents the legs from digging into the dirt as much as others; however, I still think some practice plastic golf balls cut out to install over the bottom of the legs probably wouldn't be a bad idea to carry for soft ground. Even though this chair feels fairly sturdy, I still have my concerns over the longevity of these type chairs for the money that they cost - I guess time will tell. In any case, I was shocked at how well comfortable this tiny chair sits, even for a 175lb man. I am happy enough with the purchase and she is thrilled.

I had this chair before, and I regretted returning it. I have tried other UL backpacking chairs, they were lighter, but they were too low in seat height. An old gal like me can get down but getting back up is a challenge. When I saw this on sale, I immediately bought it. It took me a minute to assemble it. I found putting on the canvas was challenging but I figured it out. If you start with one bottom corner (seat), put in the top corners and then put in the other bottom corner in last it's a lot easier. This chair is very stable and more comfortable for me. I would give it 5 stars if it was lighter in weight. I hope there will be a lighter chair in the future but keep the seat height at 15 inches.

I have been using the Skyline UL chair for the past year. I brought this chair on my expedition from Great Slave Lake to the Arctic Ocean via a few different rivers. I highly reccomend this chair over the Helinox Chair One. The Chair One has a worse thought out stuff bag and is harder to set up!

This was a gift for my child and she loves it as it's light for her to carry and easy to put together. Plus being lower to the ground she can get in and out of it no problem.

Absolutely the best backpacking chair. I've tried them all. Very sturdy and the best part is the height. Easy to get in and out of. Love it for day hikes to take a lunch break or rest.

ABSOLUTE LIFESAVER!!! I can't recommend this enough!! There is nothing better than backpacking into camp and setting up this superlight weight chair and relaxing! I got many compliments on it on the trail and it was incredibly light. Definitely my go to luxury item.

Awesome chair! Extremely compact when folded and it assembles/disassembles in under a minute. I know there's lighter/smaller chairs in the market but nothing comes close to the comfort to weight ratio this chair provides. The seat height of the chair is perfect. Very strong. The actual seat fabric is a tight fit but after a few uses it stretches out and becomes easier to use. Pro Tip: 1. After you build the frame slide the bag on the frame to use as extra storage space. 2. when installing the seat fabric, do the pre-bent poles first to make it easier.

I know this chair weighs 1/2lb heavier than the "backpacking standard" H...Chair Zero, but I would take this chair over it 9 times out of 10. The chair sits 6" higher which makes a world of difference. There is no plastic in the hub so that is one less thing to worry about breaking.

Excellent strength to weight ratio. No, it's not as bomber as the heavier options (duh), but it is a burly product at a # and a half. I used to think backpacking with a chair was dumb, but it's actually the best idea ever if you own this chair. The only downside will be chair poaching among your group so watch your back.

This chair replaced a very large, heavy, foldable "antigravity" lounging chair. I liked the behemoth, but it was a pain to lug around on car-camping adventures. I wanted something much lighter and smaller, potentially backpackable, and comfortable. I thought that I'd be compromising on comfort. That ended up not being the case. Even though this is a different form factor, I find it even more comfortable than the recliner it replaced. It cradles my "sit" (unlike the recliner which kept me sliding down), and there's no pressure on the underside of my legs where they contact the front edge of the chair. In case it helps, I'm 5'7 and 180 lbs. I'm very happy with this purchase.

These are great chairs...use it most for backpacking, other camping and concerts. The 1 1/2 pounds is very manageable to carry and still keep your pack light. I get compliments every where I take it....BA gear is the best!!

Not the lightest camp chair on the market but very stable & extremely comfortable. I believe the slight extra weight is worth it for the comfort. One thing I believe separates this chair from others is the back support & how the legs articulate keeping the chair stable on slightly uneven ground.

Just back for a 28 day canoe river trip. We mostly camped on gravel and sand bars. There were six of us, and 5 different brands of folding camp chairs. My BA chair was the ONLY one that didnt suffer from the feet sinking unevenly into the dirt. The slightly bent rear legs, and cross frame design make it super stable. Easy to get out of too.

Best folding chair going. Under 2lbs, comfortable and short so goes in any pack. I am 6' and it sits at a decent height. good for concerts where tall chairs are not allowed. ok for packing in if not going ultra light. I bought a 2nd for my spouse. so much smaller packed than you regular folding chair.

For over a decade, I've been loving on all the Big Agnes products that I take with me on the river and in the canyons for the orientation courses I teach at Colorado Mountain College. As an instructor, it is important and a priority for me to show students the highest quality gear available to them in the industry and Big Agnes has always fit the bill. We backpack and car camp during the class and I always bring a camp chair and table to help create a better camp environment for the kitchen...

Really nice camping chair
By JakobsenDK
Comftable, sturdy , and really easy to assemble and OK weight (always an issue, for us lightweight hikers!). My only complaint is about the bag it's stored in. The zipper can open by itself, if you got it hanging from your bag. I lost the frame once without me noticing it. but a really really great person picked it up for me!, And i got it back at the end of the hike! So just be aware on how you are carrying it on your bag.
I just love getting to camp after a long day hiking with a heavy pack and sitting on the cold, hard ground or a rock, -said no one ever. With a weight of just over 1lb., there's no reason you shouldn't have a comfy, four-legged chair to kick back and relax in. The Skyline UL Chair packs small, assembles quickly, and gives you the comfort you need to enjoy the backcountry spot you worked so hard to get to.
