This is a great daypack. Has plenty of pockets and storage space. The side pockets are large enough to fit a large smart water bottle. A couple of thing could be improved like a few more small straps on the shoulder straps for attaching gear. maybe a molle panel on the back with some shock cord and trekking pole holders. Better ventilation for the back, and a little wider on the shoulder straps.

I purchased the 50L and was really impressed with the level of detail for a great hybrid bag. Therefore, getting this bag for a daily driver was a no brainer. Really like that is can be dual use as an adventurer and city dweller. I typically use TUMI bags, but this one appealed to my more adventurous spirit and has top tier build quality which is what I expect.

Purchased this pack for day hikes with the family and it has not disappointed. The overall shape of the pack makes weight distribution simple. Honestly, I find myself just cramming everything in there without giving distribution a thought and I still enjoy a comfortable, evenly-distributed wear. Shoulder straps are very comfortable. We took this pack to Disney World in early July and it was a lifesaver. The multiple external and internal pockets made organization a breeze, and kept everything dry during pop-up storms. The mesh side pockets are super stretchy and held our 26oz water bottles without issue. I don't think I dropped a water bottle once. Overall, I've been very impressed with the construction of the pack and am 100% satisfied with my purchase. Would definitely buy again or gift to anyone needing a versatile day pack.

Love this pack. The number of pockets and their locations tickles me. Is that weird? Maybe I'm weird but this pack is flippin' awesome. I've used it on the trail, with the waist strap and without, it tucks away nicely when not in use. I've also used the pack heading to wifi meetings outside the coffee shop. My 14" laptop is easy to access in its own pocket.

Needed a daypack to replace my old one. I like the variety of compartments, the light weight and ergonomics. It feels very consciously designed.

Great pack! Got it out on the trail for a few days in Maine and it held up great. Only minor complaint is the chest strap is a bit short even when fully extended. Would recommend this pack for light to moderate day hikes when a little gear/food/water and some backup clothes are needed. Plenty of space for most essentials.

It's perfect for the essentials and a little more for a day hike. Really wanted the option to have thermal water bottles on hot days rather than a water pack. And plenty of external attaching points for gear. I'm 6'1" at 190 and this pack delivers on comfort, storage and access!!!

I am truly obsessed with this bag. At first I bought it just for hiking and I was a little nervous about how the laptop sleeve would feel, but I didn't notice the laptop sleeve and now I can also use it for everyday use when I want to bring my laptop places. I really like the material of the backpad, shoulder straps, and hip straps, they are like memory foam and feel super lux. I am just constantly impressed with the quality of the materials and attention to detail in the Big Agnes backpacks. I would highly recommend it!

This is a fantastic day pack and has all of the features I was looking for - several pockets, multiple attachment points, trekking pole attachments, a front stash pocket, and hydration bladder compatible (although I rarely use one). It's also top-loading without an annoying front-zipped flap that flops down when you open it, like SO many packs have these days. Those are so dumb! This top zip design is much, much better. This pack is sturdy, and really is quite lightweight considering it has so many features and such great structure. You can fit much more in here than the 20-liter size would suggest, and when you load it up with some weight, it still carries well. The only negatives for me - the laptop pocket adds unnecessary weight - to me, a pack with so many technical features is best for the trail, not town. I'll never use a laptop or tablet on a day hike. Also, the hip belt is not removable, and is also not adjustable up or down. This one hits me a little too high, and I'm not even that tall. The belt would be up around the stomach of a tall person. I may just cut it off, as even when this pack is fully loaded it really doesn't become heavy enough to need a hip belt. Finally, my dream would be for the main compartment to be roll-top instead of zip, but that's not super important. Thanks for making a great pack, I'll use it for years to come.

Great bag. Wears well. Only issue I found is that it doesn't stand well for loading or waiting for travel. Use it every day. Doesn't "sit" in the chair by the door like the old one. Wants to lay down. May need to hang it.

As far as day packs go, this is nearly the perfect pack. It's light weight and has loads of room. It to mention, it's a great looking bag. The only thing that I'm a little bummed about is the lack of hip belt pockets or shoulder pockets. Certainly not a deal breaker but it would be nice to have a place to put your snacks and cellphone. Because of the lack of hip pockets, I'd only recommend this pack for day hikes or the occasional single night trip.

What if, you added additional loops on the bottom back side of the pack? Then, more space can be utilized as a theatrical over night to two night pack carrying the tent at the base and Sbag on the front. What if, the zipper protecting our laptops was the same as the rest? Waterproof material would be nice to keep it safe. I hope you take this into consideration. Otherwise, it is dang near the perfect daypack/travel carry-on.

I love this pack! Enough pockets to keep you organized but not lose track of all your stuff. The water bottle pockets are actually big enough for a nalgene without struggle. the laptop sleeve is perfect for a map and a tablet. There are secure pockets for your keys. AND the outside stretchy mesh pocket is great from jamming or cramming a layer. good stuff!

Carried several liters of water and it barely felt like I was carrying anything! Very comfortable and the pockets make sense. Stretchy pockets were great for my fat water bottle. Hip belt is useful but if you don't want to use it it's not uncomfortable on your back. It rained when I used this last and it kept all my gear dry. Would definitely recommend

Perfect everyday pack in all ways but one. I love everything about this pack?top load, large water bottle pockets, perfect size for a daypack. The one problem is that it doesn't have a flat bottom, so it doesn't stand up on its own. That really defeats the purpose of a small top loading pack. You have to hold it up to load it, and you can't set it down to dig through it without holding it or leaning it against something. Almost perfect.

Great day pack for hiking! Easy to strap on poles, just the right number of pockets, streamlined but still with easy to use water bottle holders. Straps very comfortable, great fit.

I purchased this bag to replace a 27L daypack and this bag feels as big if not bigger. The main compartment is longer/deeper than other daypacks I've had. The side pouches are also deep and therefore work well for stashing taller water bottles. The bag could benefit by adding a hip strap pouch, but that's just me. Overall, it's comfortable on the back and carries a lot for its size.

I just got the backpack and took it on a hike up a little Cottonwood Canyon. Unbeknownst to me the hike was covered in snow. My new backpack was so awesome it is so light weight you couldn't even tell that you had it on. The handy red webbing over the water bottle holder kept my water bottles in when I tumbled upside down down the snow fields. the open pocket on the outside made it easy to shove my jacket in and out as it was a very hot and cold hike.

In need of a smaller pack for summer day trips, outings with my dog, Blue, I purchased the Impassable 20L daypack after having been impressed with the construction of the Parkview 63. Much like the Parkview, the pack feels well formed against my back with excellent ventilation. The water bottle sleeves on either side are slightly taller than other day packs I've had, which was something I was looking for since my Smart bottles have a tendency to fall out if not strapped in. Lastly, this 20L pack is a lengthy pack, so I was able to stash my camp chair in this pack with room to spare for a jacket and snack. Probably could have fit my bladder too. Maybe I'll try that next. Anyway, very happy with the pack. For a 20L day pack, it provides a number of options for stashing gear. And it's comfortable. #sweepstakes

I bought this pack as my fly to a location business pack that I can take my stuff out and hit the trails. It carry's very well, super comfortable and has a lot of cool organizational features. The deep water bottle pockets are the best! They hold large insulated bottles in place perfectly while running down trails. But?.. the laptop sleeve is just a laptop sleeve and the water bladder holder is only 1 liter. If the laptop sleeve was dual purpose with a clip to hang a bladder I would be selling a lot of other packs????? everything else is perfect.

Just got this and wanted to share initial thoughts. I love the size, and so many nice pockets. I like that the hydration bladder will sit lower on your back. The laptop sleeve is great, one of the reasons I wanted this pack. My only complaint is I don't like how you have to tighten the hip belt from the clasp. It's just not easy to get it as snug as I would like. Can't wait to try it out on the trails!

Like all Big Agnes products, this pack is well-built and comfortable, and it will be in my regular rotation of daypacks. I would like to see wider shoulder straps, but that is really just a matter of personal preference. My real complaint (both with this pack and the Ditch Rider 32, which I also purchased) is that the hip belt is not stowable or removable, and given the design of the pack can't simply be wrapped behind the bag. For the Impassable 20 I think I'm just going to cut it off. Hoping the next iteration addresses this issue.
