Big Agnes Goosenest Double Decker Inflatable Cot

I bought the double decker for my small sailboat and for car camping adventures. It definitely lives up to all the hype. It takes a bit of time to inflate, mostly because of the volume, but also in part due to the thicker material of the inflation bag doesn't refill with air as easily as others I have used. But once it's inflated, it's amazing. So comfortable. The raised edges are perfect for keeping you centered on the pad, and it's fairly quiet for an inflatable mattress. I found the pads to stack very well, but didn't really rate the side to side connection. I found the rounded edges (from being inflated) didn't allow the Velcro patches to adhere very well, and they separated easily. I would recommend the double wide cover accessory, if you're going to want to use the pads side by side. Also the removable Velcro patches are easy to lose track of?..but maybe that's just me. On the whole, this set is amazing and I'm looking forward to using well into the future.

Some of the best sleep I've had car camping. This is definitely a game changer in easy set up and comfort for someone around 6'2. Using the deflate section to start blowing up the mattress works best, and then you dial in your comfort setting. Think of it like a dual zone bedding where you each get to choose your setting. Highly recommend

I use a Coleman Quick Pump 4D. Instead of attaching the pump to the usual inflate valve, attach the pump to the deflate valve of the cot. The pump fits well enough to quickly inflate the cot most of the way to full. Next, quickly remove the pump and push the cot's deflate air stopper back in. Finally, use the provided pump sack in the normal way to top off air in the mattress to desired firmness. It only takes a couple of times using the pump sack to reach max thickness. Hope this helps. It is sad that this excellent product comes under fire for not being able to inflate easy. It just took some thinking out of the box to come up with an quick and effective solution.

My wife and I kayaked into a quiet, lakeside spot in the North Cascades and used the cots side-by-side in conjunction with our sleeping pads. We both had the best night of sleep while camping... ever! Just be mindful of their size. They took up nearly all of the floor space in our 3-person tent. Plus, at 6'1" I found that sleeping ~6 inches higher within the tent put my head and feet in contact with the tent walls. It looks like I need to find a new, longer tent because these cots will be a mainstay for all of my camping trips in the future!

Brought the double decker for a bikepacking trip for two on the Katy trail. We used the cots side by side as a double-wide cot/mattress inside a two person tent. The cots filled the tent floor to capacity but fit and tent function (door zippers) was fine. The cots provide great sleep comfort -- esp. for me who has back trouble sleeping on thinner camping inflatables or the ground. Good quality construction and a single cot is rollable/foldable to fit inside a large pannier with other gear. The inflation bag works well. If you have trouble with sleep comfort with smaller form factor gear, I'd highly recommend this product.

I spend a week with high school seniors every year and the schedule is very demanding, meaning a quality good night sleep is a must. I purchased the double decker to accompany my Insulated pad and double wide sleeping bag also from Big Agnes. Before my trip I spend some time at the hospital where the single pad came in clutch! So far I have not had any deflation issues and the cots are very comfortable! I am looking forward to many more great nights sleeping under the stars!

After our first night sleeping on the Goosenest cots (topped with sleeping pads) I asked my wife what she thought. "That was the best night's sleep I've ever had in a tent." I couldn't have agreed more. Set up was easy with the velcro pairing and fast with the pumphouse ultra. Gamechanger for those who want a little extra comfort while sleeping in the dirt.
