Great tent with a couple downsides

Overall, I like the tent. It's lightweight, quick and easy to set up, and equally easy to pack away. I'm 5'9" and weigh 210. There is plenty of room inside for myself and some gear. Most of the gear stays in the vestibule. The internal pockets are great and help keep things like a headlamp from being lost in the clutter of the tent. Big Agnes needs to address two downsides. The first, which should be easily remedied, is the fly zippers are finicky, especially when the fly is wet. It makes matters worse that both zipper pulls are identical, so I invariably pull the wrong one in the dark when getting up to pee. The second problem, which won't be as easy to remedy, is that strong winds flatten the tent, even with all the guylines set and taught. Thankfully, this happened in Florida, so I ditched the fly, and the wind blew through the netting, leaving the tent upright.

Don't like the fly design

Love the compact & lightweight nature of this tent, and thought I was getting the same as my friend's (just with the solution dye), and was disappointed to see the 2022 and 2021 versions are materially different. They changed the fly so it's doesn't overhang the entrance when open, and also changed the position so you can't have a partially open fly (eg for sleeping on hotter night). You can't stake the fly peg when not zipped which is particularly bad in the morning when there's moisture on the fly, it just ends up entering the tent (really unclear how this is supposed to make sense and why they changed the design from what was perfectly practical and functional). During set up I also have trouble with the fly seam aligning correctly over the support pole structure, despite the tension set. All in all, I wouldn't recommend this tent due to the less functional fly. If I could buy the old one, I'd replace the one I have. I will echo the comment about the 3 straps making no sense for a bike (with a stem in the way), but don't usually use the bag anyway.

awesome tent for smaller folks (with smaller feet)

This is a great tent - light, yet full of useful features, packs down small, pretty much everything you'd want from a tent when comfort, light weight & ease of setup are all about equal on your priority list. I wish we could keep having great adventures together, but at 5'11" with size-12 feet, I just don't fit. Even with a low-rise foam sleeping pad, my toes are constantly brushing against the interior wall. Luckily I've got short friends who will rock the heck out of the Fly Creek!

The zipper is tricky, but a great tent!

I love to backpack, but I bought this tent to use bikepacking, given Big Agne's intention for use, name etc. It'd be easy to attach to the bike, but I put it in an ultralite stuff sack inside a pannier. So far, the tent is wonderful! It packs up small and it's extremely light. Feels kinda delicate, but so far so good. Def need a ground sheet imo. I use a piece of tyvek instead of splashing out ~$75 to buy one. The tent is roomy feeling for just me and my pack, the 1 person I think would be too small, can't imagine 2 pp inside even without packs. The gear loft is super helpful. Kinda wish it was totally freestanding. No condensation to speak up even in the rainies. Haven't had troubles in wind, easy to set up, vestibule is nice. My issue with this otherwise awesome tent is that the zipper is tricky and when you need to get out to pee, it's not funny. Take a deep breath and don't get it stuck! I'd recommend this tent to a friend with this one thing up front.

Best Tent I've Ever Owned

TL;DR: If you're deciding between the 1P and 2P, just get the 2P. Excellent stealth tent. I got the 2 person version for solo bikepacking and it was a winner. It really doesn't take up that much more space than the 1P and it allowed me to keep all my gear inside and dry. Fast forward and I find someone to bikepack with me(!) - we both fit perfectly with room for the essentials at the foot. It's vertically spacious enough that you can sit upright and the front opening if super convenient. There is an upside to the neutral colour of the tent in that it makes it easier to stealth camp. The downside is that we almost got smushed by a truck that didn't see us (in what we thought was a secluded spot). If you're worried about visibility, I would drape a bright reflective towel or jacket over the tent. Otherwise it's perfect. Also don't overload the top pocket - for essentials only.

Not for tall people

Overall I like the tent. But only if I wasn't 6'2". The foot clearance is too short and even if there is enough length in the tent, my toes hit the tent. The slop on is too acute of an angle to give room for taller people.

Packs tiny, but very cramped

I bought this tent for motorcycle touring, where weight isn't much of a concern but packed size is. Unfortunately I found it's the wrong tent for me. I use a 2-person tent despite sleeping solo because I also need room for gear, and I'm a big guy at 6'4" so need a little space; but how this tent qualifies as a 2-person tent I have no idea. 2 kids maybe. So if you're on the bigger side, beware. Also, this tent requires quite a few stakes to hold its shape. If your camping takes you to a lot of rocky sites, you'll be better off with a freestanding tent. If you like this style of tent and you don't mind a cramped interior, it's great; the quality is high. But if you need a little elbow room or like to be able to sit up inside your tent, look at a dome-shaped one instead.

Good investment for bikepacking

This is my first ultra light tent for bike packing. My girlfriend and I have bought this tent especially for bikepacking trips in quebec . In 2022 I have traveled at least 2000 km with this tent on my bike. I have slept in this tent alone or with my girlfriend 15 times this summer. We are very please with the performance of this product. In the pas years we use to spend a lot of money on airbnd and motels during our bikepacking trip so we are very please with the flexibility and the economy this product has given to us. In fact the tent has paid itself in one summer of use.

The Easiest Tent to Set Up/Take Down

Fantastic tent. I love how easy it is to use. I was particularly pleased that I could quickly roll it up and stuff it in the pack with no trouble at all. The materials feel really high quality and it is obviously excellent craftsmanship.

A very versatile three-season tent.

I've been using this tent for summer mountaineering (below the snowline) and bikepacking. So far it has proven itself to be an excellent tent! While I generally prefer double entrance three-season tents, the single entrance on this one does keep the weight (and bulk) very low for a double skin tent, and I didn't mind the single door for short trips. I have used it with the just the fly alone too, and this way you get a lot of room for two people and gear. I like that the vestibule is roomy too. The only downside is how the tent handles strong wind - but then it is a three season tent, so you can't expect it to be bombproof. The solution is to use all the guy lines and pegs to make it stable and try to find some natural wind shelter.
