I bought this bikepacking tent for a trip several years ago and have used it often. I have subjected this tent to several storms and heavy wind. It really does a great job. I love the helmet hangers and gear storge in the side.

Having only done an initial setup of the tent its certainly an easy one to do solo, even with the vestibule. We have a significantly larger one that requires two people for anything but a frustrating setup. The two areas where I'd like to see a better offering are in the availability of the extended footprint such that the vestibule included (as seen in many of the initial photos) and the availability of the standard blacktail rainfly (minus vestibule) for outings that don't call for the full setup. All of this is secondary to the functionality of the tent which seems to be well up to par. #sweepstakes

When i was looking to get back into back packing we were looking for a tent large enough for myself, my spouse and our adventure dog. ( all 15 lbs of him) WE have used this tent several times over the last 2 years, From Crater lake OR, to Lake Louise AB. the vestibule is perfect for a little storage.

Love the space in this tent, you can store all your panniers plus a lot more in the big vestibule. The tent is spacious and easy to get in and out. Only complaint is on the first use it started to lead right where the vent stands are sewed in. BA is taking care of me now on that. Besides that this is a perfect bicycle touring tent if you want a roomy tent.

First camping trip a the fly leaked a bit, right where the vent stands at the top are sewed in. BA has had me send it back though and are fixing the problem so props to them for that. Hoping they fix the rain fly and the tent is dry, because I love the space of the big vestibule and the inside of the tent is very spacious and has lots of storage space. I didn't get any noticeable condensation.

Love this tent! Great vestibule for gear! Roomy for two people! All that with a weight of a little over 7 pounds! Packs compact!

We have used our Blacktail Hotel 3 person tent many times, and it holds up so well in wind and rain. The large vestibule is a dream for storing gear or hanging out in the cold/wet weather. Our dogs love this tent too. I've purchased 3 Big Agnes tents now, all for different reasons, none to replace another - one of them is 15 years old and still going strong. 100% recommend Big Agnes, all day everyday!

I used to have the 2 person copper hotel which was great for an adult and child. I decided to upgrade to the 3-person bike pack version and love it, very roomy.

I spent a *lot* of time selecting an ideal bikepacking tent. Here were my most important criteria: - Packability (something that fit between my handlebars) - Durability and quality - Cost - Room for two campers If you're also looking to optimize these criteria, and you're fine with a tent that's not an ultralight, then this really is the perfect tent. I found that the weight of the tent actually worked quite well for my set-up for a week-long tour. I just used rear saddle bags. Because the tent adds ~7-8 lbs to the front of the bike when it's fully packed, and because I don't have any tent materials i need to pack in panniers, the weight distribution and storage volume on the bike was relatively well balanced without adding more bags to the front of my ride. If you're a gear head who counts ounces and like to tweak all aspects of gear and weight etc on your bike, I imagine you're probably going to buy a lighter alternative. But this tent was really a fantastic no fuss option. It's not only a great tent in and of itself, but its weight and handlebar mounting capacity actually allowed me to forego the fussy weight distribution game that many people see as a barrier to entry in the world of bikepacking. I just strap it to the front of my bike, load my rear panniers, and off I go. Beyond its utility on my bike, camping in it was a dream. The tent *comfortably* sleeps 2. The hotel vestibule is extremely useful spot for storage, and increases the usable space that you and whoever you're traveling with.

Served me incredibly well on a 5-day bikepacking trip. Definitely on the heavier side, but I wasn't aiming for speed, and it saves so much room that it was actually useful to have some extra weight on the front of the bike because I didn't end up needing to use any front panniers (so the tent helped keep the weight distributed OK). Great construction. This tent will last a while. I can't wait to use it on many trips to come.
