I purchased their regular standard outdoor AfterShokz a couple of years ago and was impressed by the quality and being able to hear while I'm cycling. Honestly I was skeptical of a swim version but have to say that these are just mind-blowing. Even without the included ear plugs I was amazed at the sound quality. Have only used them for a couple of weeks but simple to transfer over my music and make adjustments while in the pool. I have about 300 songs on random playing while swimming my laps. Sure is a game changer to the mind numbing lap after lap. Super comfortable to wear and no issues falling off even if you don't strap under goggles or swim cap. If you are on the fence like I was don't be and pull the trigger you won't be disappointed.

I was a bit skeptical, but these worked quite well. I used them to listen to podcasts today while swimming. Not normally a swimmer, but I'm rehabbing from knee surgery. These will go a long way towards keeping me sane until I can go back to Crossfit.

I like everything about the Xtrainerz except that it doesn't have a fast forward feature and that it always returns to the beginning if you leave one recording and listen to another. As a practical matter, this means I can't listen to recorded books while swimming, which is what I most would like to do.

I haven't tried it in the pool yet, but these work great when I run or cycle. The sound is clear and loud enough to hear clearly, but I can still hear cars and other runners or cyclists. It's very comfortable - more than once my I've forgotten I still have them on after exercising.

I am a synchronized swimmer and have tried many different types of swim mp3s over the years. The sound underwater and fit are excellent for what I need. I wish there was a way to rewind and fast forward songs. If this feature was added when they are updated, I can guarantee many synchronized swimmers would be interested in purchasing these. It makes it difficult to choreograph when I can?t move the music within each song but can only start over at the beginning. That is the only feature lacking which would make me not recommend them to all my friends. Other than that, these are my favorite and have the best underwater sound quality.

As a triathlete training in the pool for many hours a week, my husband purchased these for my birthday. I NEVER had music while swimming and how much of a regret for me not having this my whole life. As a music teacher, music drives my workouts but I never had the resources to purchase a music player and honestly? Creating playlists on another device just seemed so cumbersome. With these, it's easy and the music sounds great~

I have the Xtrainerz ?standalone? MP3 player. I use mine for swimming as intended. Someone at the pool insisted I try this, I ordered one within the hour. Wow! Tech is 5 stars. It sounds great, it fits great, it appears build quality is also great. Also great is how simple and intuitive the buttons work. I give 2 stars for software and getting music onto the device is stone age level. There should be an app of sorts, something that lets me add music and edit playlists easily. Overall I only take one star off for this limitation, it is nowhere near a deal breaker in any way, but it does put some practical limits to my practical use of the device as I am less likely to maintain multiple lists for different purposes. Overall, killer product and highly recommended. Absolutely love it.

I love these bone conduction earphones! The sound underwater with these Xtrainerz is as clear and loud as regular earbuds/headphones on land. I'm so impressed, and happy that I took the chance and gave them a try. I can't tell you how tall the pile of rejected and defunct waterproof swimming sound systems I have blown through over the years. Hopefully these Xtrainerz will last a good while. Easy to load from iTunes. Happy customer! The only thing I'd change is the behind-the-neck-band is unisex and just a little large for my female size. It sticks out and is easy to bang. Easy to cope with but in a perfect future would like to see Men and Women's sizes.

Excellent construction and quality. Very lightweight; sometimes doesn't feel like I have them on. Sound quality is exceptional for bone conduction. I sometimes wish the volume could increase a bit more, but it's often due to surrounding noises drowning out the bone conduction audio. I've noticed that if I set the volume a step or two down from what I actually want, my sensitivity will adjust and the sound will be more to my liking naturally. Discrete design makes them blend easily if wearing while doing errands -- no one knows you're wearing them. Battery life is an amazing 8 hours. The feature that lets you know how much battery life is left is nice. The downside to the battery is that it doesn't have built-in intelligence to prevent overcharging, so they recommend taking them off of their charger after the prescribed 2 hours for full charge from complete drain. XTrainerz are the ONLY headphones I've confirmed are truly waterproof and submersible. Have swam in the pool with them several times, and they sound even better under water where the sound is amplified by the water. Easy click-and-drag method of transferring music to the Xtrainerz is nice and simple. No complaints. Overall, my new favorite headphones. Will likely try the bluetooth-enabled Aeroplex ones as my next set to see how well they connect to the phone and handle calls. But the Xtrainerz are nice to not be tethered to a phone when exercising or just listening to music or audiobooks while running errands and doing chores.

It awesome to not have an ear bud in my ear and it is really nice to not have a smartphone tethered to me. A sense of freedom hard to match. I love these and I have tried many devices. This idea of not having some piece of plastic jammed into your ear makes it impossible to go back. I'm sold on my afterShoks

Time flies by as I am motivated by music that inspires me.......boredom and thus poor training are things of the past. I am safe on the bike as I hear all traffic and still able to enjoy the sound of water while swimming laps. I can not be happier. The shipping to get my headphones was a bit of a fiasco, but that's because Fedex is awful. Now that I finally got them, I'm excited. Since the XTrainerz don't stream content, but have it stored internally, there are some pros and cons. The pros are that it doesn't matter if I have my phone or other devices with me, if my phone dies, or if I have a bluetooth connection set up. Either way I have my songs, podcasts, or audio books stored on the XtrainerZ. The cons are that if you have hundreds songs, podcasts, and/or audio book files saved on the XtrainerZ, even though you can organize them into different folders, and even you can skip forward or back, you can't go straight to the exact content you want to listen to like you can with the bluetooth connected Aftershokz. Even considering the cons though, I'd highly recommend these if you want to listen to music or other audio files while swimming, or while in the shower or tub. Customer service told me they should function in hot water ok, but I read in the user manual that extreme temperatures could affect battery life. We'll see over the long term how these function if I use them in warm or hot water.

I?m absolutely amazed! It took some time but was easy to load music from YouTube at no cost. I had concerns with running and whether they would move around a lot. They didn?t move even a little and are so light that I wouldn?t have even know. They were on if they weren?t playing music. I used them during a swim and same thing. I?m a faster swimmer and turns and push offs create a problem with every other in water music system that I tried. No problem at all with the Xtrainerz. What I?m truly amazed by is that the sound quality was actually BETTER once my head went under water! These things are great. I already know that these won?t be my last purchase!

Love these from the first time I used them. I primarily use them for swimming but laying out in the pool is great too. I am a triathlete and my long swims were getting boring. I bought these and have loved swimming with them. Now swimming is alot more fun and I want to do it more often. Since using them I have shaved 4 minutes off of my 800 meter swim time. Thanks! Vince

Have only used them on three or four runs and they have performed great. My measure is how long they will remain reliable. Past MP3 players have failed after 6 months.

Not only can I swim with these, but I can workout without having to have my phone on me. These hold about 1000 songs and don?t need Bluetooth. The sound is good and I can still hear my surroundings so running/cycling is safer. These are perfect for any exercise, especially triathlon training.
