Shopper : Do this run true to size? or are they tight? My feet are 23cm long and I am not sure if I should get a 6 or 6.5Alicia J : They are true to sizeVICTORIA W : On the small side. This is a leather boot that will require some breaking in. It is also a winter boot so you will wear socks with them. I would get the 6.5.

Run WAY LARGE and WIDE - and - Soles are Battleship Gray

Contrary to other reviews that says these "run true to size," they run LARGE and WIDE. My size 6's (which is what I *always* buy in shoes and *rarely* (if ever?) have fit issues) are swimming on my foot, especially the toe box. Feel like a 7W or larger. I will have to wear my thickest socks to not have these slip and slide and doubt I can wear them for any extensive walking or anything but short term going out without running risk of blisters due to ill fit. If you have a wide toebox, these boots are for you! Plus, while I like the maroon leather, the battleship grey/maroon soles are pretty ugly. Wish they were darker and more neutral. Fairly disappointed in these all around....

Ortholite Insoles
OrthoLite comfort foam insoles provide moisture transport, antimicrobial function and long-term cushioning. The ultra-breathable material won't break down or lose cushioning over time, keeping your footwear comfortable and supportive.

Waterproof Footwear
Timberland's waterproof footwear incorporates a variety of advanced waterproofing materials, treatments and processes. Timberland's start with waterproof leathers that are sealed as part of the tanning process; then either seam-seal the footwear or use an internal waterproof breathable membrane to help feet stay dry. Tongues and zippers treated with durable water resistant coatings utilize integrated gussets, to further deter water entry.

Silver-Rated Tannery
One or more major components use at least 50% leather tanned in a facility rated Silver or higher by a third-party environmental audit. The Leather Working Group judges and classifies tanneries based on energy use, waste production and water treatment.
