Great Stanley Design With A Learning Curve
The quality and design of both the pour over and the mug is excellent. Mug keeps things hot for hours, but the open mouth and the wide base that won?t fit in cupholders makes it a non travel-friendly mug.
The pour over is a learning curve, if you?ve enjoyed pour over coffee and use a Chemex or any device with a paper filter.
Pros:
-Makes a decent cup of coffee, comparable to traditional pour overs
-No extra tools needed (scale, paper filter, etc).
-Easy to clean, simply rinse and air dry
-Durable, will probably last for decades
Cons:
-The metal filter does not provide an even flow of coffee to your cup. This may be a deal breaker for some. If you pour a little water it will flow quickly and not absorb the coffee grounds correctly. If you pour the full quantity of water (which I think they recommend), you will be waiting for quite a while, as the coffee clogs the holes of the filter. Stirring is needed, but this will cause the coffee to flow very quickly again.
-The size is not very portable or compact-able, I would only recommend for campsites. Storing in the box it comes in is the most organized/safest way to travel with it.
-There will be trace amounts of silt in your coffee. This shouldn?t be a surprise, as you are filtering it through tiny holes. I recommend grinding medium-coarse, but a little coarser than your typical pour-over (if you have numbers on your grinder, it was about 22-24 for me).
-Lack of a paper filter saves you a step on the front end, but cleaning requires an extra step on the back end, as you?ll need to swish and dump the grounds out instead of merely picking it all up within a paper filter.
Overall, I would recommend this product. It will make a good cup of coffee, provided you give it a few practice runs to get the grind/process correct. If you can get over the learning curve and directly compare it to a traditional pour over (which you probably wouldn?t bring camping), you?ll be happy.

It truly does make a great cup of coffee. Easy to use and easy to clean when you are done.

Great product
Makes great coffee and will last a lifetime. I have several Stanley products and each one has exceeded my expectations. I still have my Stanley thermos that I have had for 40 years. The all in one French press kit with thermos is my favorite product since I bought it 2 years ago.

Easy to use and easy to clean
I love this setup. Its easy and to use and clean..I will say though that its nice having the lines on the inside of the filter but you have to pour fast to the desired line because liquid starts coming out immediately.. Not a big deal.

Nice campsite coffee
It makes a good cup of coffee. Easy to use. Almost as good as my pour over kit at home.

Stanley Pour Over Set
Whenever I want a nightcap this is what I use. The simplicity that comes with using this makes it very enjoyable and repeatable.

A must have for jitter juice on the trail or at camp
Stanley never disappoints. This pour over is easy to carry and makes a damn good cup of joe. Easy to clean and ready for the next round of jitter juice.

Good for Camp.
I like the single brew. Flavor of the coffee is great. Having the pieces together makes brewing easy.
