simple but effective

The Sierra Designs Get Down 20 Degree sleeping bag is a perfect example of simple but effective. While it doesn?t boast any spectacular features, it doesn?t use flashy features and beef up the price. Instead, it focuses on the essentials. In my opinion, the best products are the simple yet effective ones.

Get Down 20

I caught in some pretty nasty weather in the GC this spring and ended up waking up with my tent floor an inch deep in water in about 25 degrees ambient temps. I was shocked at how well this bag held up. I never got cold despite half of the bag being wet, and really didn't even notice it was wet until I woke up. The best part, though, was how quickly it dried?despite being down. I admit to being concerned about the lower fill rating but it delivered as well as my 600 fill bag for loft and packability. I have been in other so-called water-resistant down bags, but none have proved as reliable as Sierra Designs' proprietary Dri-Down. Super impressed. Other things I loved: ? I bought the men's rather than the women's version because I like a little more wiggle and foot room. This bag delivered?I never felt confined. ? Easy flow zipper. No snagging. ? Ultralight, and pack down very small. ? Good value. I doubt you'll find a more comfortable, reliably water-resistant down bag at this price and weight from any other brand.

Great basic sleeping bag

Great light weight bag. Love how small it packs down. Packs smaller than my 40 degree bag. Haven't used below 35 - 40 and I suspect it might be a bit cold if used for nights as low as 20 degrees. Not all the added features of other SD bags, but a great value for a basic sleeping bag.
