This is exactly what I was looking for. Why wouldn't you buckle up your furry friend? :D I can go on long drives and feel confident knowing my pup is safely secured. This harness is easy to use and comfortable for my pup.

Read the explanations of this harness, especially as they relate to Center for Pet Safety and watch the videos. I did many hours of research before purchasing Load-up and especially for large dogs there is no other choice. Yes the clasps are different & the initial fit takes time, however, the video explains fitting in detail. No, it does not have a convenient ring for ***** breaks or running into stores, my guess is someone would try to use it instead of the loop to secure the dog to the vehicle making the harness less safe. I attach the leash to the seatbelt loop or his collar - not hard. My dog is my child; I would never buy a second best safety harness (or baby seat) just because it?s easier or more convenient. Safety above all else. Thank you Ruffwear.

Both of our dogs use Load Up harnesses for car travel. I drive a Honda Fit so taking them both in crates isn't all that feasible, plus this is so much easier to use, while being a lot safer than most crates.

This harness is easy to get on and off our dog Archie, and he doesn’t seem to mind wearing it in the car. I feel much safer with him secured in the back seat. It’s also easy to clip a leash on it for ***** breaks!

I love the design of this harness. The buckles are easy to clasp/unclasp but are obviously not going anywhere once they're together. There's enough padding that it looks comfortable on my dog. I'm glad I got the XXSmall for my ~10lb Chiweenie, it fits her well but it's hefty enough that a larger size may have been too much for her. It keeps her well-restrained in the seat but she's clearly able to move around enough to lay down and get comfortable. This harness gives me peace of mind on car rides

This harness works very well for my 18lb cockapoo. It holds her securely but allows her to move around, and it's relatively easy to get on and off. The only downside is that it's pretty heavy for a dog of her size, which means she doesn't really enjoy having it on, and I need to take it off before we go on a walk of more than a block or two. But those are small prices to pay for her being safe on long car trips! Definitely recommend this.

The product works as intended for car travel. It seems to be well made and comfortable for my dogs. But why not include an attachment for a leash?

I adopted a dog and was worried that my bumbling through the first attempt to secure her for her first ride would stressful for her, but it slipped right on and was easy to adjust and secure. It also seems to fit her very well. We’re very pleased!

I needed a harness to keep my little Golden puppy safe when riding in the car and get her used to riding in the backseat. I am very happy with the quality of the harness and ease of use. It keeps her where she needs to be with the ability to sit or lay down.

This is an excellent car harness! We got it to replace another harness that our dog kept wiggling his way out of (and looked uncomfortable) on longer rides. Super impressed with the quality, the fit, and the large padded area on the stomach/chest. He is a bit anxious in the car; switching between sitting and laying down, and the Load Up harness gives him more freedom to do so while still ensuring he is securely fastened to the seatbelt. I like the location of the attachment point, too. Overall a great and worthwhile upgrade!

This harness is great quality but I read other reviews saying theres a gap in the chest area and even on my 130lb mastiff there was an awkward gap that I think would make the harness safer if it were more fitting to the dog. It is a hassle to put on and take off but it's worth it to have reassurance with the metal hardware, that being said the safety tests this harness has passed are not very comparable to others on the market especially for a dog as big as mine and had I spent more time looking before buying I probably would have went with a different brand.

We needed to free up cargo space, so instead of kennels for our road trip we used the load up harness and the dogs sat comfortably and safely in the rear seat. Once we got the hang of it loading in and out is easy and they seemed to be very comfortable the whole seven hour drive.

Extremely well made - I am impressed. However, it doesn't allow enough room for moving about, and my excitable dog gets hopelessly tangled, requiring us to stop, get out, untangle her. I think it's very safe, and we continue to use it, but with difficulty.

If you have more than one vehicle, it's so much easier to have the seat harness for each car. Usually careful about having the dog secure while driving , but switching to the other car to take the dog to training class and got called out for not taking care of our puppy. ?? we now have dog car harness for BOTH cars and no more problems !

I love this car harness! It was a little complicated to fit however I watched the Ruffwear youtube tutorial for fitting the harness and it explained each step. My dog took a few drives to get used to being clipped in behind her but she is now perfectly adjusted and comfortable being strapped in. The harness allows me to drive in my convertible knowing that my dog can't jump or fall out of the car and ensures that my dog stays secured and is unable to interfere with me driving. The harness is very sturdy and well made but also incredibly comfortable for even my sensitive Golden Retriever who doesn't love to wear things. I highly recommend this harness!

This seatbelt harness is perfect for our dog. Once you adjust the straps to fit your dog, we haven't had a need to adjust it after that so it makes it fairly easy to get it on and off. Our dog was always anxious in the car but having this to secure her from moving around when the car starts and stops has helped so much! She will actually lie down and just relax now when we are on road trips. I also like that we feel safer driving with her too, in case we were ever to get in a wreck with her in the car. Highly recommend!!

I like the item but have a very difficult time getting my pup to be comfortable if attached to the seatbelt as directed. I actually have opted to use a seat belt clip extended instead and found that it works great that way. It doesn’t take too much time to put on the harness and it seems very comfortable for my pup.

This is an excellent harness: high-quality materials, great design, sturdy. One small suggestion for improvement concerns the clasps. They are a bit fiddly and take some getting used to.

I have a 10 year old Boxer who loves to ride in the car, his balance is not as good as it used to be, so we stopped taking him in the car as either kennel or seat he wasn’t stable. The new harness gives him and us confidence to take him in the car. He jumps in the harness and loads up! So easy to put on, and easy to buckle in. Thank you RuffWear

After using this harness for three weeks, Blazey is comfortable traveling in our truck and doesn’t seem to need the anti nausea medicine. Great design and fit.
