Just three poles, I can set up the whole tent in about 10 minutes. That said, I am 6'5", so I have some advantage with the high clips on the end. I can walk the length of the tent without appreciable ducking. Good ventilation options, great in the rain. If you put a heavy lantern on the light strap you will get water pooling and dripping in the middle of the tent roof, but otherwise waterproof. If you take it down yourself, it helps to have big hands - there are a lot of pole segments.

This tent is like an outdoor condo. The fact that you can stand up inside of it is amazing. It makes camping so much more enjoyable and it truly keeps the rain out.

I got this tent with exceptionally high expectations and it has exceeded EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. With all the small updates they made through this tent, I am sure it will continue to surpass my expectations in regards to how long it lasts. Also, if you are 6'0"+ get this tent! I can get ready so comfortably in the mornings and sit in the porch as I lace up my boots for a long days hike!

I set this up in my house twice (spring rainy weekends...) to practice. The poles are a bit non-intuitive, but after doing it twice I'm set for life. It's a well thought-out tent and I'm looking forward to several car-camping trips this summer.

This is the best car camping tent I have ever had! I have wanted one I could stand up in or live in, so I go the 4 tent and it is definitely livable. I get compliments on it everywhere I use it. Very sturdy, comfortable and stood up to three nights of camping in cold rain (also yes, very comfortable to have multiple people with all of our pack in playing cards and listening to music during the rain. ) Super easy to put together, even if one person. Everything is quality.

I?ve had this tent for approximately 4 years- it has really held up - I just added waterproofing for the first time - I have approximately 40 nights of camping with it - it is well constructed and with enough headroom for my 6?6?son - having the victory blanket in the floor adds comfort

I have had this tent for at least five years. It is very sturdy against strong winds. Very dry in the rain. We love the screen windows. The garage has plenty of room for our boots and other gear.

Bought this 11/2020 for car camping. Camped in Western WA (Lake Ozette! late December. Not hard to set up. Love the size & size of included vestibule. Temps went down to 26 one night. Had the vents open, but this is a single wall tent & lots of condensation formed and froze inside on ceiling. Because ceiling sags inward rather than pitching outward, as temps warmed up we had a rainstorm inside! I mean a lot of water! We also had leaking in one corner up through the bottom. NEMO has suggested we return it to REI where we bought it. But we will first try in other conditions to see how it performs. We might be able to recommend this in a less humid climate but not sure yet. But we wish there was a way to hold the side windows semi-open to keep rain out while still venting. We love the tent in many ways. But

We have the 4-person tent and couldn’t be happier. Spacious for two adults and two small Fur Kids. It rained steady last night and it stayed completely dry inside. Setup is 5-10 min with one person. Provided stakes are nice. You won’t be disappointed with this purchase. The materials are really good. Durability won’t be an issue. Simple design and well made. Nice Work Nemo! Looking forward to many years of use on our adventures!

So we purchased the 8 person wagon top for a big camping trip in Wyoming. We had more than enough space for all our gear and could still sleep comfortably. The material held up to high winds and rain wonderfully during our 10 day trip and even when in the sun, vented well and kept us comfortable. When first bought we tested putting it up and tearing down. The total process took us under 20 min with 2 people and that included going through the tent once erected and finding all the details. Hands down one of my best purchases ever and will be planning more trips immediately because of this great set up.

Nice job with the upgrades from the previous model. The only negative that carried forward was the lack of lower tie-offs for the room divider (wish I could add them myself - it's right over my head as the 4th person sleeping laterally. This may be a 6P tent but it's a really comfortable 4P. The stow-pockets are in great locations, option to open rear door but keep bug screen closed is great to enjoy morning view. It held it's ground in high winds off the lake and after a few experiences is very easy to setup.

I purchased this tent for a road trip that consisted of 10 nights, so we setup this tent a lot on the trip. It rained three nights and we never felt a drop. I was amazed at the headroom. After reading a few reviews I was a little paranoid of high winds but on two separate nights we had stiff 15 mph winds and had no issues without additional stakes than the 6 that I put for the corners and vestibule. My only heartache with single wall tents are the inability to leave off the fly for star gazing, but the WagonTop provides two large windows that provide decent viewing. The clips to the pole pull the tent tight and I worry about pulling out the stitching, but so far so good. For one week I put this tent up solo and it proved to be the easiest setup I’ve ever done for this size of a tent. I’m sold on my purchase!

Being able to stand up in a tent is amazing. It makes changing easier and gives you the feeling of more room when stuck inside due to rain. Set up was a little confusing at first but once we did it the first time it has been super quick and easy with two people. Very happy we bought the Wagontop

I bought mine about 6 months ago. And love everything about it. Super easy to set up, love the extra wide doorways. Makes it easy to get air mattress in and cleaning it out as well. I haven't found anything I dislike. Such a great tent.

I bought this for my husband sort of as a joke. We are (were) both backcountry hikers and own a small fast and light Nemo that we love. As we have gotten older and lazier, we do more car camping that we would like to admit and have always joked that we should get a bigger tent for front country camping. After being too cramped on our trip camping around Prince Edward Island, I decided to commit and get the Wagontop 6P. I had a general idea of the size and chose the 6P so it would easily accommodate the queen size blow up mattress that we have, that 10 years ago I would have made fun of us for having, and also enough room for our Labrador retriever who is always muddy and wet to spread out in without getting our stuff wet and muddy. There is also a great screened in porch that is big enough for friends to sit in and hang out in while hiding from the bugs. This tent is sleek, well designed, durable, and huge. Like all of Nemo?s products it does not disappoint. One pointer, set it up once at home before heading out in case you need to YouTube how to do it. It was a little confusing the first time we set it up but very smooth every other time.

Decided to splurge and get a nicer tent, the must was that it had a vestibule and was tall. This tent is amazing. It fits our family perfectly, my husband is tall and has no issue inside the tent. Overall it is such a well thought out tent. The extra pockets for storage, the tie backs, the loops to hang lines or more storage. Easy to set up, super sturdy, and super quality. I dont have any complaints.

This is a very nice tent! It is a little big for me, but my husband is 6'2" and he is very excited that he can stand up in the middle. I love the wall that you can create to keep the tent in two sections. Definitely nice to have the extra room to move around

Have only used it once now, but cant wait to use it again! Best car camping tent I've come across yet. The single wall design holds up great to rain! No more fiddling with a rain fly or deciding to leave it off and regretting it later when the storm blows through and you are away from camp. Assembly is quick and easy - after putting it together once, I could definitely assemble it in a hurry on my own if needed (I am 5'11"). Being able to stand full height and change in the tent is such a major benefit. Going to order and try out the sunshade one of these days!

We?ve used this tent a few times now. A little confusing on first setup as to where the massively long and gangly tent poles go. Would be nice to have the poles color coded with the tent holes. No worries after the first few setups though. It is much easier to setup with 2 sets of hands, where my old standard double crossed poles tent I could set up by myself. The tent pulls up a bit at the corners with everything being such a tight precise fit, so it is much better if you can stake down the corners. The open and airy feeling inside is great especially with the nice big windows at the doors. I did miss the big side and roof windows on my old tent, but a good trade of for the waterproofness and not having to deal with a rain fly. My only tiny nitpick would be that two full size blow up mattresses where a few inches two wide, and pushed into the inner ?porch? screen door. We were still able to zip it shut though. Overall a great open airy tent for our family of 4. I even enjoyed the bright yellow color on the inside after getting used to it, Kinda cheery! Thanks Nemo. Hope to put this tent through it?s paces for the next 20 years or so!

We're a young family of 5 and have gone through a few different brands of tents over the years. The problem with large camping tents is they are typically cheaply made and have garbage pole structures that really don't handle the load of stress that weather puts on such large tents. We've been using the Wagontop for the past two years and couldn't be happier with the performance and how well it's held up to many, many camping trips. We haven't had pooling issues with rain, and despite some heavy wind storms, the poles have had no issues, no holes, rips, or issues. That's even with a dog and two toddlers running around inside. We got the 8P for all the extra space to be more comfortable. We easily setup a queen size air bed inside with two toddler sleeping bags, a dog bed and bags. Spending a week in this tent is comfortable and just has been the perfect solution to our family needs. I really think that Nemo did a great job of creating a design that gives you the most space possible. Vertical walls are crucial I feel, especially when you may be putting a Pack and Play for a baby in the tent for sleeping. We've had other large 6P+ dome style tents and putting a pack and play in one of those makes you lose so much space. Overall, two years of use, and we couldn't be happier!

We have been loyal & very vocal fans of Nemo products for years. Galaxy 3p was our first Nemo tent and we've camped with it for the last 4+ years with our son (soon to be 7) & dog (75lbs). We own the 2 Cosmo pads (double and single) and one double sleeping bag. I cannot tell you how much we loved our Galaxy tent! But the time has come to upgrade to something a bit bigger (we are 5'8 & 6'2). I've eyed the Wagontop for years & finally caved. We ordered the 4p + footprint + Victory blanket (?) + UV top/Sunshade. It arrived today. We live in the PNW (think rain & wind). It’s a little bulky both in size & weight. Set-up: - Pretty easy and took us about 5 min. - You need space. I see how it will be a struggle in some campsites with dense trees. - Couple attachment points weren’t clear to us... Tent: - Vestibule : not very snug fitting at the top & sides. - Ties! What happened to the magnetic straps? They were GOLD & so easy to use! Frankly, cheapens the tent. - Velcro for the top windows… again, magnetic would’ve been a much better choice. - Extended footprint (to actually extend to the vestibule?) - Looks like the walls are “covered” on the sides from the water/rain, but not in the back (see photos). - Windows are wonderful, however an opportunity lost for “Star & nature gazing while in bed”. This tent can afford lower windows and maybe even a stargazing top (that UV/Sunshade would cover if there's a need!). Notes: - The Victory Blanket is a must in my opinion! Makes a world of difference with this tent. - Wonder what effect the wind & rain will make on it. - Also the condensation (we tend to camp by water) on the walls is something we will be on the lookout for. I hope to update this review in the future after we’ve actually camped in it.

Amazing tent, just what I was looking for. Really strong floor. Half of it is a screen porch, sweet!!! Slept on that side and had the dogs in the other half, Worked great. Good zippers. Huge doors, dual zippers on doors so you can open the whole door or just half. Good storage pockets. Nice side windows and upper window for air flow. Awesome style for tent, wagontop!!! YES. Love it. Just makes me smile. Thanks Nemo.

I bought this tent last summer and I have used it on two different trips. The first time I used it there was a rainstorm (happens every time!) and there was a small puddle in the middle of the floor. I called Nemo and they immediately offered to replace it. We discussed what happened and I realized the puddle might have been my fault. I explained I used a footprint from a previous tent from a different company. Of course it did not fit properly and trapped rain under the floor. Nemo still offered to replace the tent! I declined the offer. Recently I went camping and endured two different nights of significant thunderstorms. The tent performed flawlessly! It can handle any rainstorm without a droplet of water getting through. That is the main selling point to me since I keep a lot of expensive photography gear in the tent. I am 6' 1" and I can stand anywhere in the tent. The walls slope very slightly which really helps with adding standing space. The directions were a little off. I believe the instructions on the tent are for the four person tent. I watched a video and kept a screen capture of where the poles go. Once I look at the picture, there is an "Aha" moment and it goes up quickly and easily. The fact there is no rainfly is really nice. I always felt like I was setting up the same tent twice when I had a tent with a rainfly. I really like this tent and HIGHLY recommend it!

The Wagontop is luxury camping embodied, perfect for families or groups of all sizes. Thanks to a unique pole structure, it provides unparalleled interior space and room to stand up and stretch, allowing for almost perfectly vertical walls and built-in overhangs at both ends that afford all-weather ventilation. Generous windows and doors provide both views and ventilation, but close tight when needed for privacy and protection from the elements. The tent's single-walled construction and two or three poles (depending on the model) keep the pieces to a minimum and setup simple. For 2020, the Wagontop has been updated with easier-to-use hardware for the side windows, custom hubs, and even more durable floors. Deck this tent out with a Garage, a luxurious Victory Blanket, or a Sunshade to keep cool in hot climates, and you'll have a comfortable palace in the forest.
