Overall, sleeping bag is very comfortable material. I camped 3 nights straight, when the weather was 85/60. Going to bed at night was boarderline uncomfortable, but, this bag material really made it feel much better. The reason it is 3star.....Im an average size Man, 5'9" - 210lbs. I am a side sleeper, and toss and turn. This sleeping bag was very tight on my body. There was hardly no extra room inside, even to move my arms to a different position. I felt pinned down inside it, fully zipped. Maybe this is the design to keep the material close to the body, so the body heat stays in....not sure, but it was uncomfortable at times.

I just received the Forte 35 regular bag a couple of days ago. I bought this bag to replace a Big Agnes bag I have had for several year. I bought it based on several reviews I had read especially from bigger guys. As excited as I was to receive this bag, I was disappointed. The first thing that happened was one of the zippers on the gills got hung up. (The bag came with them unzipped. It was so bad I thought I was going to have to call Nemo. After about an hour I was able to get it unstuck. Then secondly, I got in the bag to try it out and I couldn?t even zip it up all the way, I am a big guy, I am 5?8? and weigh 250. The problem was zipping it up around my shoulders and I am not broad shouldered. Not sure what I am going to do. I thought since this bag was a Spoon bag, it would have more room for turning over. I like the feel of the bag and think it is a quality, just not sure I can use it.

I slept in this sleeping bag for one night it the 50s and I was nice and warm throughout the night until 4:00 am. I repositioned and was warm for the rest of the night. The thermo gills, zipper plow, blanket fold, and the pillow pocket are all great features. The only downside for me and why it didn?t get 5 stars is because the hood tightener is hard to use. Also the bottom zipper for the foot box doesn?t have a zipper plow but the top one does.

I bought this bag a few years ago, and living in Vermont, have not had much need to have the vents unzipped. A few weeks ago I was at scout camp with my troop, and I was the only one who slept well, because it was so cold. My bag kept me nice and warm, even with just shorts on. Last week, I was at a different scout camp, and again, I was the only one who slept well, because it was so hot. I had the vents open the whole time, and slept like I would at home.

I bought this bag for the World Race. It?s super warm and roomy, however the zipper gets caught so much it makes me want to not use it at all. I can?t fiddle with the zipper and be in it at the same time. It gets caught, pulled, and opens up after it zipped. I?m not sure if I got a bad one, or if they?re all like this. Overall I love the bag other than that.

I got this bag as a gift from my wife. I have used in on a 4 day camp in Wales (UK and the bag is brilliant. I have never slept well with mummy bags as they are too restricted for me, the ample room in this helped me get a great nights sleep. The bag is warm, well made, comfortable and looks fantastic. I am really impressed by Nemo products and can wholeheartedly recommend this bag to anyone.

I took this on an overnight fishing and rafting trip about a month ago. My clients used this bag, and were blow away by how comfortable and warm it was. They have considerable camping experience, and were really impressed. The zipper was great, which is always something I look out for when trying out sleeping bags. It's extremely durable, warm, comfortable and beautiful looking too!

Comfy, warm, and, most importantly, cruelty-free (synthetic. A little on the large side but I fit it in my pack.

Initially I was looking at the 35 version, but decided to get the warmer bag as a hedge. I haven't been able to test the cold temps yet. However, it did well in mid 50s and I didn't overheat. Packs down nicely and it's lightweight for the price. Great bag.

We bought the Nemo Forte 20 (men and women's after a weekend in the hills of New Mexico where the temperature dipped below 32 and the sleeping bags we had just didn't cut it (we ended up boiling water to put in hot water bottles so our feet didn't freeze). Cut to the following November, and our camping trip that was supposed to have overnight lows in the mid 30s ended up being in the mid 20s. We didn't notice until we found some water that had been left out overnight was frozen solid. That's why I rate this as a great sleeping bag.

Bought the bag based on reviews for a side sleeper. this bag was fantastic when tested for a few different nights in 40Fish temps. No problems getter and staying comfortable as a rolled from side to side.

I work in natural resource conservation and my work (and hobbies require that I sleep outside around 100 nights/year. I have been through a few different bags over the years and the Forte is definitely my favorite. Rectangle bags have been too bulky to pack and not as warm, but I love the room. Mummy bags make me feel claustrophobic with my feet stuck together. The spoon shape and vents on the Nemo bag are legit, the perfect middle ground for me. I can sleep on my side, I can blindly rip the zippers up and down in the middle of the night and they don't get snagged on anything. I sleep warm, but this bag has been comfortable for me all the way down to about ~26 degrees so far, and is adjustable enough for warmer summer nights. Top notch and affordable option for summer backpacking and long term car camping. I'll likely come back to Nemo for my next bag too.

I?m a bigger person - wide hips, large butt, broad shoulders, etc. and I?ve NEVER been able to sleep in a sleeping bag until now. I took this thing comfortable to about 25-30 degrees and it was amazing. The hood paired with the flap made it perfect to block out the full moon and the room in the interior was just an absolute dream. The one down side I have is that sometimes the zipper gets stuck but life isn?t perfect! I?ll never buy another bag so long as this exists on the market. I love everything Nemo makes.

So happy we bought this! We?ve been using it across the US from New Mexico yo Wyoming in Spring and it?s been great so far. Warmth has been awesome and as a side sleeper I?ve been a lot more comfortable than normal. I will say I thought it might pack smaller, but then I?m not great at packing this or any sleeping bag to begin with!

Well designed with quality materials. Comfort level overrides minor weight/bulk penalty.

I've tried the Nemo Forte 20 a few times now and I love it. Very roomy, as I am a side sleeper I had plenty of room to move around. The materials are strong yet very comfortable. Very happy with it!

I've had the bag for about a year and have used it a handful of times. Very comfortable, roomy, and warm...even on a nights in the 20's. As a side sleeper, love the spoon design.

I've had the bag for a year and love the little extra roominess. I chose the 35 deg bag and have used it on nights below freezing with a sweatshirt and heavy socks and was comfortable. I can go much lower with my bag liner. This bag plus the liner makes a very versatile setup. Packed size is good as well. I have no negatives to add (and I can be pretty critical.

Not sure about about the whole gender zipper. Looks like you can choose your zipper side. That being said how does that impact the functionality of this product. Nemo. I have slept in BA, REI, NF, KELTY, and MH. Your spoon bag system is the best. I’ve used it on the PCT. AT. and the Continental divide. Thanks for your uncompromising standards

Great new bag. Bought one for my wife as well and we can zip them together. We woke in the morning warm and comfy...and without a ridiculous sense of social justice outrage. But we did want coffee...

Got this bag for a lightweight warm bag for overnight hiking trips. Have not been able to test it outside yet but my husband thought he'd try it out on our living room floor. It was so comfy he fell asleep without a sleeping pad and had a stiff neck for 3 days.

I bought this bag about a month ago and took this on my first backpacking trip just last month. It was too warm to test it for cool weather temps. The bag had quite a bit of room. Wish it had a little more room in the feet area but I think I will like it once I have a comfortable sleep bad that keeps me from tossing and turning all night long (I only had a cheap foam pad to use).

I am a brand new backpacker. I used this on my first overnight trip over the weekend to test my gear out. No issues with my sleeping bag. Temperatures were in the high 60’s overnight so I slept with bag unzipped and vents open. This is the first nontraditional shape bag I have ever owned so it took some getting used to, but I could move freely around in the bag and even had room to sleep on my side in it. I don’t think I will have any issues with this bag in colder weather either.

This bag is nearly perfect with only the size being a little big. It fits in my Osprey Farpoint 55L but I had to sinch it down A LOT (compared to the bag size, having only stuffed it in the stuff sack. The comfort of this sack purely outweighs the overly size! The comfort flap near the head is also a great bonus and unique to the market.

This bag is nice enough and packs small enough to be my primary bag but was very affordable.

Simply a great sleeping bag
By Bard
I hiked 22.6 miles through snow in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. At the end of the day, I was wet and cold. This sleeping bag provided the warmth I needed. And when I got too hot, this sleeping bag had several ways to regulate the temperature. Simply, this sleeping bag performed very well in very adverse conditions.

This bag is exactly what I wanted. super warm when needed and can air out when needed as well. I like how small it packs down.
Seventy percent of people sleep on their side, yet mummy bags are not designed to accommodate this. Forte has been updated with Primaloft's, lightweight, ultra-lofty and supremely resilient RISE insulation featuring 80% post-consumer recycled content. Forte's classic Spoon shape provides a generous cut at the elbows and knees so side sleepers can shift positions comfortably throughout the night.
These 3-season backpacking bags are loaded with features, including Thermo Gills that help regulate temperature during the night, Blanket Fold that provides tucked-in comfort, an integrated pillow pocket, and a waterproof/breathable footbox to withstand tent condensation. Left-sided zippers on Men's and right-sided zippers on Women's allow Forte to zip together for a double version of these favorite synthetic sleeping bags.
