Tent is huge, at least to someone used to small backpacking tents. Easy to set up even for short people and surprisingly quick for the size. Held up amazing in a downpour that was flooding the ground around us. Stayed completely dry inside. Bugs like to collect in the vestibule especially in wet weather. Don't love the placement of the interior stash pockets. Was in love with it and still pleased but am now concerned about longevity because one pole already got a small crack on only the third time setting it up. Hasn't snapped yet but am not sure if it will another time I go to set it up and the poles didn't come with a repair piece.

Used this tent this weekend in Wisconsin for a mountain biking trip. I was the only one to stay dry out of the other campers. Held up great in 8"+ of rain and strong winds. Huge supporter of northface

High quality gear, very lightweight given it's spacious interior and folds up into a relatively compact bag, no need to press down to fit everything in the bag. Roomy vestibule is a great feature of this tent. The only con of this is that you cannot use a rainfly without needing to set up a vestibule. Not so much of an issue but could have been more flexible this way. We haven't tested it a camping yet - looking forward to it. But I tried to pitch it at home - everything fits just fine. Totally worth it's price. We are going to use it for 3 persons - 2 adults + 1 child. Found out that Wawona 4 is not roomy enough for 3 person and some gear and maybe some extra space just in case. So decided to try Wawona 6 and glad we have chosen it.

This is a pretty great tent. The vestibule is convenient, though I think the material should set up closer to the ground than it does. I am able to stand up in it which is nice. Plenty of room for my family of 4 also. I even had a crib in it. Some mention it's tough to set up. I can see how teo people would be helpful, but this is very manageable with one person.

We love our Wawona 6 tent. This is great for car camping! It is very spacious for 2 of us. The front vestibule is nice to have some more privacy. Highly recommend.

Just got back from camping with our new Wawano 6 person tent. We absolutely loved all the extra space. We use it for just the two of us but with our cots, side table and gear it made for a comfortable camping trip. The open space outside of the tent was beneficial for storing basic gear and keeping chairs dry. This is a tent I'd highly recommend buying. Easy set up and take down.

We love our Wawona 6!! We set it up in the middle of a rain storm and surprisingly it was still dry inside the tent the next morning. We highly recommend!! It's great for 2 people. It'd be tight for 6, but we only have 2.

We were looking for a tent to accommodate our first family camping experience and Wawona drew our attention. We've set it up within minutes, very easy process (just get the hammer for tent pegs). Interior is spacious, we were able to fit across two queen size inflatable mattresses and sleep very comfortable with a dog. Held well against the rain with no leaks. Overall very much recommended!

The day I got this tent I tested my backyard and it was mega windy and was still able to set it up pretty easily. once it was set up it didn't even flinch in the heavy winds. I just took it for the weekend to Letchworth State Park in New York and it was perfect for car camping for me and my family. We are using it for three people me and my wife and my daughter. You can easily stand up in the tent it vents really really well and we were able to sit up and play card games at night. The vestibule is big enough it held our cooler and other camping stuff while leaving is plenty of room for our shoes and being able to walk through.

Excellent tent, and yes it is the newly revised model as advertised. Just be aware the more bent of the two black poles is for the far vestibule wall, and the less bent one is for the main tent body. I thought they were identical the first time setting it up but that's not the case. Very happy with this tent and it was perfect for glamping with the girlfriend. Lots of space, lots of ventilation, quality construction - I expect this will last us years of use.

Relatively easy setup, even I was able to do so on my own, which is saying a lot. The best part about this tent is the vestibule; it adds a ton of space and is super functional. Can't comment on the durability yet, but it does appear to have quality construction. Lastly, the tent looks cool! Received a lot of compliments on it during my last camping trip. =)

This tent was very easy to put up and take down, even with no instructions included. There are two black poles, one for the front of the tent and one for the fly. I guessed wrong the first time I was setting up, so I found a video online to check and switched them around. We camped out in the living room the first weekend we got it because it was going to be storming all night (didn't want to be in a tent during a lightning storm with three little girls). We all loved it. So many pockets, and I love that I can stand up all the way through it (not just the middle). 6-people would be way too close for comfort. We had a disc-o-bed bunk (amazing by the way) set up, which took up a lot of room, but we had two adults, a kid, and a Great Dane on the floor beside it. We had plenty of room. Great family tent! In total we had two adults, three kids, and a very large dog in the tent.

I reviewed a lot of tents for my family and this one was definitely the best choice. It's easy to set up (I don't know what other reviewers problems with set up were). I'm 5'3 and I set the whole tent up myself in minutes with no frustration (it's idiot-proof). The vestibule is very helpful for gear and dog crate or bikes (we used as dog area). One can't expect a camping tent to be completely dry or completely perfect (it's a tent not a cabin). However, no wetness or dust in our tent while in wet and dry conditions. We love it so much!

Love this tent! Quality construction (so far - haven't tested it in sub-optimal conditions yet), and aesthetically pleasing. The setup was fairly easy (I set up by myself, but obviously it would be easier with the help of another). Especially love the vestibule! It's large, functional, and really sets this tent apart from others in its class.

We have used it twice so far and the things that we like are the extending canopy in the front. It actually takes up wind and still stays steady for a tall tent. I think it's due it to its shape. Lots of vents and definitely a great tent to take it on summer camping. The things we don't like. The front vestibule is connected to the rain fly. So setting it up was confusing. Also the first vestibule is a bit wonky. If you don't have even surface then it doesn't fit well. A lot of vents mean that it doesn't hold up on cold weathers. You got have a heater running inside for sure. I'm giving 4 stars because the standout feature is the vestibule but at the same that's the one which causes most problems.

This is the perfect tent for our family of 4. Easy to setup, solid in wind and rain and the extra large vestibule is a game changer!! We use it for our dog crate, a small table for suitcases, a clothes hamper for wet and dirty clothes and even a bucket potty for the littles, with room leftover for changing, etc.

The wawona sure is standing up to the test , we're in the south of France as I write this review in very heavy rain, our first night here 3am woke to a heavy thunder storm, underneath the tent was 3in of water it was like a water bed. How water never got inside that tent I'll never no .

Amazing size and packs down good. Lots of headroom and great extras; like mesh storage. Vestibule is spacious and functional. Roomy without being massive and cumbersome. Best base camp tent I've owned for family camping.

Really happy with this tent!! It's massive but super easy to set up. The atrium is incredibly helpful for keeping gear dry, and keeping our bikes out of sight! We haven't yet had it out in a heavy rain, but have had zero issues with condensation and have stayed completely dry through lighter rains. Fingers crossed that it serves us well for years to come!

Huge ugly storm hit and hit fast! Stood up to 70 mile an hour winds and crazy rain. We took to the Ranger only because of extremely terrifying lighting. Great tent!

The zippers stick a bit and rain seeped through the footprint into the tent on a rainy night of camping, but otherwise the tent is spacious and sturdy and relatively easy to set up. We had 3 people sleeping in the tent and can't imagine it being comfortable for more than 4 people.

My email to North Face. I just wanted to touch base with you after my first experience with my new Wawona 6 tent, the one with the separate rain fly. Basically, I just want to know if I should expect the bottom of the tent to be completely waterproof. We had decent rain for about an hour and the rain fly protected the top of the tent but a puddle of water made its way between the bottom of the tent and the footprint. This was around 8pm and by 8am the next morning the bottom of our tent was wet inside, as the water had seeped through. Is this normal for this tent? Thanks. Their response... I am so sorry to hear about your camping experience in the rain. I don't think you can expect the tent bottom to be completely waterproof. If the bottom of the tent got wet inside it may have been at an angle for the water to flow in. If we can be of more assistance please let us know. We would be happy to help! My thoughts.... Sounds like some quality feedback huh!? errrr

We took this tent camping with the kiddos and puppy. This is an excellent tent. It didn't take long to put the tent up. On day 2 we had severe thunderstorms and intense rain. We put out chairs in the vestibule area and stayed dry while we watched it rain on the river. This tent is awesome! We also got compliments on how nice the tent was from other campers.

Stayed dry during a whole day rain and wind storm
By Wai
Had one full day where it was heavy rain. Windy at night with 40+mph gust. Tent held up perfect. A few drops of water here and there inside the tent but it probably was condensation. The vestibule was really useful. Only thing I would have liked was if the front door had the option for a full cover instead of just the mesh, it might have helped when it got cold at night to keep some of the cold air out and the warm air from the heater inside.
Great tent with massive space
By Christopher
We bought this particular tent for two reasons, firstly we are approaching 50 years old and don't want to crawl in & out of a tent, and secondly, we wanted to have room to secure our mountain bikes overnight. The sleeping area is massive, and the vestibule is nearly as big as the sleeping area, with plenty of room to park two bikes and have ample room to go in/out of the tent. It's made very well, and with the best poles I've had on a tent ever and more than enough room to stand inside(I'm 6'...

Much-loved Wawona 6-person tent has been given a refresh. The North Face has gone from single- to double-wall construction, re-engineered its poles and made it easier to set up. Don't worry, they have kept the huge vestibule that makes it feel less like a tent, more like a home.
