I love this tent! The first night I put it up was a breeze. It is roomy, strong, and easy to assemble/take down. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an easier camping experience.

The tent is very nice, well constructed, and has plenty of room. I think it should be considered a 5 man tent bc 6 would be very tight and not comfortable. The zippers could be a bit more bulky but we’ll see how they hold up. Would be 5 stars but it doesn’t include a footprint. I’m not paying $65 for a footprint. I’ll just buy a cheap tarp.

Amy Williams: I’d highly recommend this tent. It’s easy to set up, easy to take down, easy to store in the roomy bag, but most importantly, it kept my family of four dry during relentless thunderstorms and hail in the Rocky Mountains. There are a lot of windows and vents to open up when the weather is good, but it seals up tight when the weather is bad! We had a ton of room for gear and the vestibule is absolutely incredible! We kept a huge bin full of coats, shoes, etc in the vestibule and still had plenty of room to stand, take shoes on/off, and be out of the rain.

Lots of room this tent. Vestibule is huge. Easily set up by one person. Tent is very well built, with good ventilation. Best tent I have ever owned. Would highly recommend it.

Haven’t used the tent yet. The day I got it I set it up in the yard, kind of difficult to set up the first time, next time will be much easier. The tent looks great, sturdy, tons! Of room and the vestibule is amazing.

So far I love this tent. The front vestibule area has many uses -- changing clothes, storing stuff, etc. -- without having to enter the sleeping area. We're using it for 2 people with air mattresses. Plenty of room for this -- no way would I put 6 people in it. Parents with 2 kids, still good. Open everything up and it lets in a lot of air. Internal pockets are plentiful and usable. Lots of height, no stooping at all. Because of all the material and the size, it's not easy to set up. It's not confusing at all, but it's much better with two people. I suggest staking out all the corners while it's flat (especially in windy conditions) then slide the poles in, lock one side in place, then focus on raising it "up" when locking in other end of pole. Do this where you want it, because once it's up, it's hard to move around. It takes up a lot of space, so you'll have to consider that when selecting a site. It really needs to be fully staked out as well, so that adds to the size it takes up. The stakes it comes with are pathetic. Only work in grass. Get pound in stakes for the usual rock hard tent sites. You have to be meticulous in rolling it up or you'll never get it back into it's bag -- especially with the poles, stakes, footprint. Plan on having two bags. Haven't used it in rain. Trying to put on a fly would be a challenge, so I get why they went without it. Fingers crossed. Zippers could be better and do get caught in rain flaps, but that's common to almost everything. Otherwise the materials are solid and poles seem to be able to take some stress without bending or breaking.

This tent replaced a 6 man Coleman tent I had for years. The Coleman got shredded in a Utah desert storm so I decided to upgrade to NF. This tent is awesome! Easy to set up with multiple guy tie offs and easy to follow color coding. Set it up by myself in under 30 minutes the first time out. Having windows is nice though you have to go outside to open and close which is ok. Would have liked to at least have access to the top air vents from inside like some tents have. The best part is the large vestibule and tall ceiling height. Hanging clothesline is a plus as well. Overall great base camp for car camping! Very comfortable and seems well built.

It was a toss up between this and the REI Kingdom 6. They are the same price but you have to pay 100 for the REI garage when the Wawona came with one. Wish it came with the divider and a traditional fly for better warm weather ventilation but it paid off for our cool fall camping in Vermont. The Wawona was discounted at about 75 off retail which helped in the decision.

This is smaller than our 4 person tent so why are they calling it a six person tent?

Take the family out to the backcountry for a spell with the Wawona 6-person tent from The North Face. Wawona, the namesake of this tent, is an area located entirely within Yosemite National Park; this tent was made to be taken by car campers to beautiful campgrounds such as these. The tent is easily pitchable and uses a color coded system to easily pitch and connect everything. The interior is truly spacious- users up to 6 feet tall report being able to easily stand up inside the tent. Big mesh windows provide a nice breeze on gorgeous days. The Wawona comes with a useful duffel bag-style stuffsack that makes transportation from your car to your campground super easy.
