I REALLY love this backpack, I am a daily traveler I am always on the go. This backpacks fits both of my laptops and iPad, I love the small pocket design and overall small compartments just for work for me. Great student backpack really recommend. The Borealis is thoughtfully designed unfortunately the build quality of North Face packs has declined over the since I purchased a Recon pack about 8 years ago. For this reason, I decided to return the Borealis.

Good backpack. One of the zippers is a little sticky in one spot, but that seems to be due to the stiffness of the material and not a problem with the zipper itself. Expect it will resolve as the backpack gets broken in over time.

I’ve had the bag for about a month and use it regularly. The pack has great build quality and can carry all my stuff including a laptop. Have yet to see any downsides to the bag.

The Borealis is a great bookbag! It fits my laptop, two books, and a binder with ease. The organizer pocket is great. I can fit about 15 pens and store my electronics. The fabric is great, I was able to wipe stains off with ease. this is a A MUST BUY for anyone in need of a great bookbag! great price too!

Bought this backpack for my laptop and general daily use, maybe some school too. I was going back and forth between this and the Recon. I chose this one because it didn't seem as bulky. I just received mine yesterday, and loaded up my laptop and all my accessories, at first I thought it was small, but unstrapped the sides and wow! This thing can carry a lot! I could probably fill a couple good sized programming books and still have room!

I use this backpack for college, it fits all my books and binders that i need. All the compartments are handy, including both side water bottle holders. I looked all over for this backpack at this price and SunnySports was the lowest price!

Wife wanted a travel/laptop backpack, but didn't want one quite as big as my Heckler. The Borealis was a perfect match, slightly smaller without compromising fit of 15.6" laptop, comfortable, nicely padded with easy access to water bottle pockets. She loved the color too!

The North Face Borealis backpack is a great backpack for school or light daypacking. I chose the Borealis because it's laptop compatible. The backpack fit my 15.4 inch laptop as well as one of my 3 inch (in width) text books and a couple of smaller textbooks and folders. It is a bit heavy with the laptop, but that's only natural. There were a sufficient amount of pockets and little sleeves to organize my cellphone, wallet, mp3 player, etc. The tightening straps prove useful when I need to skate to my car, keeping the bag tight and close to my body. The chest strap is pretty useful as well, allowing you to adjust the straps vertically depending on where you're comfortable. There is also a waist strap that serves as another band to keep the backpack close to you. I don't use this strap because I usually only walk from class to class. The specifications of the backpack indicate that you can tuck in the waist straps when not in use. I have yet to find where you can tuck these straps in. Overall, it's a great backpack.
